Autosaver programs

Easy way to learn quickly about the game is to make collection of game saves. When game is finished - open these saves one-by-one and try to repeat turns as your opponent played.

Easy way to make automatic saves each turn is to use Autosaver counter 2.04 (tool made by Sir_Four)

Instruction "how to use":
1. Start new Heroes game
2. After your first turn, launch Autosave Counter
3. If after the game you plan to pack files into 7zip archive (use this program to achieve best ever compression) - then set "Save unpacked" option enabled
4. Select version (3.5 / III). Use "Browse" button to select file which will be checked for changes
5. Press "START" button

How does it work:
Program checks file with specified filename, unpacks it, searchs for data about current player and game date, then saves file either packed or unpacked. As the result, in GAMES folder there will be collection of saves in following format:  zMWD [C].GMx
where M-month, W-week, D-day. GMx - gm2, gm3... depending on original file type.
[C] - color of player. 1-red, 2-blue and so on.
z - prefix, can be any text, normally player names e.g. "Red vs Blue"

Sounds like how they keep record of chess to see what moves have been taken. Will have to look into this. Is it only for heroes 3 and wake of gods or can you use it for all games?

Version of Autosaver from Sir_Four is for homm3/wog/te.

However i've done similar program Autosaver 1.25 some time ago, u can use it for any game or any file.
Click here to download version 1.25
Click here to download version 1.1

Version 1.25 allows also to change templates quickly. Attention: your time settings should not include symbols in local language like a.m. or p.m. else program may create folders incorrectly.

Version 1.1 is more simple.
P.S. i think that 1.25 is my last version of Autosaver, i'm not going to continue development. If you would like to add something into Autosaver by Sir_Four - post it here.

ATTENTION!
What is main problem in sharing collection of saves of your games? Most often it's size of files. Example: game L+U (finished on 2.2.7), 41 file, size in archieve is 12.2Mb. That is because files are already compressed by gzip. However if you will unpack these files (use Autosaver's option) and pack them using 7zip program - then filesize will be only 365kb!!! Have fun in sharing your saves
