After Inferno i will begin with Academy and after that Necropolis and then Stronghold (fortress).

We shall see if i bother adding adventure magic.

INFO ON RACIAL SKILLS

Inferno - Gating
Same as H5.

Fortess - Construction
Humans can construct forts, towers, walls etc on the adventure map and walls and towers and bridges etc on the battlefield to help their troops and armies.

Academy - Spellweaving
Spellweaving allows Academy to improve their spells and add effects to their spells.

Stronghold - Runecrafting
Same as Academy H5 but mixed with H5 rune racial skill.
Instead of minor artifacts you place runes on creature which also has a chance to trigger a effect.

Grove - Enchantments
Grove have their own magic which can change terrain to boost their troops and boost mines etc.

Necropolis - Necromancy
Same as H5.

Dark Citadel - ??? Open for suggestions. They are faceless, a cuning and wise race whó summons Urgash.
They were almost wiped out by dark elves long ago but with new allies they got their revenge and are now the lords of the underworld again.
My own thoughts are old elemental chains, but i would like to have suggestions for something new.

Sanctuary - Favor
Regenrates special points which are used as a extra rescourse or can be converted into experience.
Regenration depends on towns, outposts and settlements and towns town level and special structures and number of evil creatures killed on the battlefield.

Hive - Hatching
UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Palace - Unknown, some kind of aquatic ability i dont have a name but they will get additional stats when they are in water.
Possibe names: Flood
Open for suggestions on names. It will flood the battlefield and give aquatic creatures extra stats.

Ramparts - Bloodlust
Bloodlust is same as Bloodrage in H5.
Ramparts is a neutral faction so neither Destroy Good or Destroy Evil works on them. Same with Academy.

Pyramid - Survival
The Lizardmen faction will get a racial skill that helps them survive better. They can stealth, increase defense and health and create traps.


Added Bone Hunters, Demoniacs and Cultists today.
More may come over the night.

Added Ceberus and Orthus.
Orthus is very weak in stats but has very strong abilities.

i like the ideas alot.

not sure about having a water related power for the Naga, its a bit... cliche? maybe discovery of a different pool of resources for spells, like an inner force.

faceless, Illusions... (no you already have that as spells)... erm... maybe something like tunneling, they get burrowing creatures to burrow others from the town into the battlefield.

Yeah i was thinking about Tunneling since i used that skill in my first faction ever, the Refuge in the old Weekly Faction Competition.
Refuge was for the H3 Dungeon round and there was faceless in it.
They were a good race then but no longer.

The Faceless allied with demons to take back their lands and now helps them to summon Urgash in return.

But i will probably use Elemental Chains, it suits with their history.

The diffrent mana pool is a cool idea
Hmm, we i will try develop the great idea
Naga town will be a Far East inspired with units like Samuraj and Ninja and Monk.

I really don't want to ruin the fun, but I have to be honest.
This work is pretty much unoriginal. You took more than 10 concepts that the community of the Altar thought of (like population, food, living towns, etc.) and at the end of the day, you're showing us mainly things that we have seen before.

The things which are original here are:
1. The magic system which contains new spells. I think that many of the spells you added are really needed, and will add a tactical aspect to the game, of spells variety that can help the Magic hero with almost everything, if the hero is strong enough...
2. The town types idea which is just brilliant!
3. The creatures system. Eventhough Moonlith suggested something quite similar, you sharpened it a bit, and it feels fun.
4. Building and destroying town concept. Sounds just great.

My tip is to focus on those 4 things and simply leave the other things we can find on other threads. If you're planning to add more original ideas (like you're now adding something called "Naval Changes") add them, 'cause I really want to see your original ideas.

i also thought about having a time-controling factional power. maybe you could combine the two.

Naga racial will be the boring old "flood" abiliy, sorry.
On the map of Ashan you can see a Naga town and a conjured water terrain around their capital.

Its around the city Karthal, i think its the Naga town.

The Naval system sounds very good. This is exactly the complexity that HOMM has always had the lack in, refering to sea surfing. Well done, Xerox.

I have a suggestion for you, for a kind of a ship:
Fire-Ship: this ship looks to the enemy like every regular ship, but it's actually not. When an enemy ship attacks it, the fire-ship will be immediately flamed, and will crush onto the enemy ship, causing damage to all the troops on it. Except of attacking ships, the fire-ships can also crush into a port of a town, what will reduce a level of upgrade (will destroy the port if it's unupgraded).

Ofcourse that all the creatures on the fire-ship die in the moment it's flamed and crushes onto other ship or a port. Therefore, it's completely useless for transporting creatures, but it will be a pain in the ass for the enemy.

All factions will have one racial ship.

A "fire-ship" will be included for Inferno.
It will be able to perform hellfire (aka greek fire) and explode itself.

Remember, gathering and battle ships cannot transport units on have them to "guard the ship".


edit: I have added some skills now. More comes later. I hope you like them. Cavalry will be new creature type, all cavalry creatures have jousting ability.

Sorry but all factions have their racial skills now finished.

Naga has Tidal Invocation and Dark Citadel (which is the new dungeon) has Elemental Chains.


I added comments to Inferno creatures, plus a great creeping tactic with Horned Grunts, Cultists and a secondary heroes.

I have finished World Eradicators and Demolishers, i will release them along with Shades and Efreeti very soon.

Shades and Efreet will be able to instant kill enemies, if they sacrifice themself. Im trying to balance the ability.
( because it would be overpowered if i had 10 Shades, then used the death touch ability on 10 Dragons so they all died).

I will do Adventure Magic last, because its not important.

After Inferno i will begin with Academy.

Im really excited about Stronghold (dwarfs) and academy (wizards).

I COMPLETED INFERNO CREATURES!

The Grail Creature and Racial Ship will be done very soon!

Inferno grail creature is Incarnaction of Urgash and their racial ship is the Hellburner, able to shoot hellfire (aka Ashans greek fire) and explode.

Next up is Academy!

Please say me what you think about Inferno creatures, if there is something i should change etc.

Academy will have guns in it.
BEWARE!

But some forge nerds will probably be happt because there are tanks in it.


edit: I added grail creature. Grail creatures can only be used by obtaining the Blood of Urgash. They can only be used for the town with the grail building in.
I have heard of some mytholical beast in christian mythology that was called antichrist (lol, what a funny name, sounds like it anti virus or something).
Its inspired from that monster.

SHORT INFO ON ACADEMY
Academy is now a rather weak faction (in the history).
Zehirs daugther, Extrana, watched her father battle in a duel against Sareth and die. He saw how he burned his corpse.
She begun to cry, didnt want to move and became consumed in a sorrow. Her mentor said that their nation could not fall because her father died and that she must order her people to leave the destroyed lands, and so he teleported her away.
They lifted up the Silver Cities from the ground and with their Cloud Palaces and Cloud Ships they flied to distant lands.
Demons tried to hunt them down, preventing them from escaping. But the remaining wizards had conjured a strong arcane shield around their cities, ships and flying buildings.
Kha-beleth said that they should ignore them, they had lost everything already and would never be a threat again and that they would only find more sorrow and death in the cold north.

Anyway, the Academy came to the roof of the world were they found the Halfings. The Halfings were a very intilligent race and had much in common with the old Wizards of the South.
They grew a relation and created an alliance.
They settled on the peaks of the north pole and begun constructing their new empire, but Academy would for ever remain neutral.
They wanted to forgot the world, didnt care about anymore.
Or atleast it was so in a while untill the Archmages couldnt see their world burn and their old allies die like small insects while they were sitting in a eternal winter and playing with one meter tall people.

They have tried to convince Extrana to forget her sorrow, do what her father wanted her to do. But she has become even more angry and isolated when a Archmage told her that they could have conjured Zehirs spirit to a creature called a Genie, but it was to late since Sareth had burned his corpse.

It remains to be seen if Extrana can awaken from her sorrow and not just watch the world rotten in front of her and the people of the Academys eyes.

Please post something so i can begin with the Academy faction without losing lots of post count!!!

There will now be 12 towns now, changed from 11.

10 without expansion.

The 12th town (which is in the orginal game) is called the Pyramid and brings back the Lizardmen.
They live in the swamps of Hashima and are on the brink of exctintion and enemies of the naga.

Im working on creature line-up.
Units will include Sphinx, Lizardmen, Coutl, Basilisk and Hydra.

More info soon!


edit: I will not post Academy. Instead i will create the Pyramid faction! Please post because i want to know what the H3 Fortress fans will think about it.

If you wonder what will replace the mercenary town, then it will be the Harbourage, a pirate faction.
It has giant mortars, voodo priestesses, harpies and rogues.

About the Faceless' specialty: maybe Cunning (or Manifestation)?
Basic: The opponent sees on the world map only the highest level units.
Advanced: Hero can't be target of a Visions spell.
Expert: The opponent's creatures' initiative during combat is reduced 1% for each spell point hero has OR all units, except the 6 and 7th level units of every castle and mechanical ones, want to flee whenever attacked.

Also - some of your ideas are great, especially this related to the naval extension.

Pyramid
The Dragon Gods Sylvanna and Shalassa were best friends. The two sisters really loved each other. Sylvanna had created the noble Wood Elves and Shalassa the wise naga.
Their two creations were very similar and that was how their good relation was birthed. This happened very, very long ago.
They decided they should try to create their own race. A race that shared both the aspects of earth and water, a race that was similar to both the Naga and the Wood Elves.

First Shalassa, the Dragon of Water, raised isles from the sea at the Jade Ocean. The arised isles were empty and dead but rather big.
Then Sylvanna, the Dragon of Earth, breathed on the islands and isles. She breathed the breeze of life and then trees, flowers, plants, grass and life begun to grow up on them.
Soon the isles were full of growth.
Shalassa turned large parts of the jungle Sylvanna had created to a beutiful swamp.
So that the swamp would fit their upcomming race.

For some thousand years they waited, and waited.
Waited for the animals to immigrate to big islands and isles and waited for life from the sea to develop.
Then they were ready to create their race. They wanted their race to be successfull but not be a threat to other races.
So that was the reason they decided to create them on distant islands and isles.

The race would be a cross between the Naga and the Wood Elves. They got bodies that almost looked like elfs, but had a more aquatic features and had blue skin scales.
It was perfect mix between the elven body skeleton and the Nagas aquatic features.

The race and dragon gods called them the Shalo'rah who later known as the Lizardmen due their reptilian but humanoid look.
They were very successful and buildt a great empire and developed a great culture and religion.
There cities were buildt around enormous pyramids and they had no real enemies, but that would soon change.

The wars was over and the Dragon Gods had gone to sleep and rest, awaiting the apocalypse.
The Naga also had a great empire and was the main naval power of Ashan. They soon discovered the growing Lizardmen empire.
They saw how their power grew. The Naga didnt want to lose their supremacy and quickly they waged war on them.
The Lizardmen were strong, they had a empire from the island of Hashima, the capital Nariya, to the far east in the continent of Eracion.

The Naga took action fast and attacked the Lizardmen with their full force. With their aquatic powers they managed to sink in a large part of the Lizardmen empire around the isle of Hashima.
The Naga were much stronger then the Lizardmen and many were forced to flee east to Eracion, but even there, billions of miles away from the Nagas own empire, they hunted the Lizardmen.
But Hashima didnt fall.
Not yet.

The Lizardmen were forced to learn the arts of Survival. They learned to use the terrain to stealth, to improve their stamina and to create powerful traps.

And now its getting even worse.
Just north of the Jade Ocean the continent of Paleadra lies in ruin, controlled by an increasing amount of demons.
The Lizardmen has been isolated for very long and dont even know about demons, but they will soon here from new allies who they are but will refuse to belive them to hundred percent.
And to the south at the mysterious continent called the Shrouded South an ancient race awakens which they dont know about either. No other race knows about that race except the evil factions and the Lizardmen must fight an increasing group of undead at the northern Shrouded South.
With enemies from all sides the Lizardmen or Shalo'rah are suddenly at the brink of destruction.
Now with the arrival of the humans, dwarfs and wood elfs on Eracion, can they be saved?
Or will those three races ally with the mighty empire of the Naga empress?
Will the Lizardmens last bastion of power grow stronger with new allies and take back the Jade Ocean or will all races turn against them and exterminated them?
We shall see not very soon.

Basic Information: Pyramid
Aka: The Lizardmen - the Shalo'rah

Racial Colors: Swamp Green, Light Blue, Blood Red - Protection, Faith, Wrath of the Gods
Racial Symbols: The Serpent Pyramid - a Pyramid with two large serpents enlacing around it. One is dark green and one is light blue.
Motto: "May the swamp protect us and trust noone."
Race Description: They have a humanoid body similar to ours and the elves but dark blue and dark green scales. Sometimes the scales are blood red. They have some few aquatic features and lizard like features.
Where: The Jade Ocean, the shores of Paleadra, the shores northern Shrouded South and to the southern Eracion to the Shrouded Path.
Country/Empire/Kingdom: The Jade-Empire of Hashima
Capital: Nariya, Pyramid City of the Gods.
Leader: The Jade Predominate along with several High Priests and few Beastmasters.
Friends: Fortress, Grove
Neutral: Ramparts, Dark Citadel
Suspicious: Inferno, Hive, Stronghold, Academy, Sanctuary
Enemies: Necropolis, Palace
Might Hero: Beastmaster
Magic Hero: Voodoo Master
Good, Neutral or Evil: None. They dont not really combat great evil empires, just defends themself. Neither they assist the good factions very much and they do some weired rituals with blood and gore and sacrifice people.
Magic School: Dark & Summoning Magic
Native Terrian: Swamp
When Pyramid creatures fight on swamp terrain they get 3+ defense and stealthing becomes undetectable.

Relations
Pyramid is a faction that are on the brink to a good faction. They are not a good faction because they sacrifice people, do violance rituals, are not really hostile against the most evil races except undead and are more working on their own goals then helping others.

Grove
The Wood Elves are a noble and strong people with great courage. Since they are allied with humans and ancient keepers of Ashan they have a agreed to help us survive.
The Elves are on of the few races we can trust.

Rampart
The Orcs. Humans told us about them. They told us that they were a proud people of honor and are now led by Shamans.
But they also told us that there pride had exterminated them, that the orcs had now fallen.
Since we dont know anything about orcs other then the humans have told us we really dont have any thougt about them either and the humans told us that there is a very high chance that they might be exterminated, like we almost are.

Stronghold
They are allies with the humans and elves.
They live high up in the mountains, a distant and foreign terrain for us and we have never heard of them. They are indeed allies of our allies, but our motto says "...and trust noone".
We cannot break our motto, we have already destroyed a big part of it. We will keep be suspicous at this strange race of mountain people.

Palace
Nagas are trying to be the main power of the oceans and soon they will move on to land!
They are on of the worlds largest supremacies and we cannot allow them to attack and exterminate us and all other races!
Something must be done against them, now!

Fortress
The Humans were the ones who found us. There leader is nice and they have a strong alliance with the Wood Elves and Dwarfs.
We needed to break a part of our motto to survive. They might be the key to stop the naga and their worldwide crusade against us.

Academy
Mysterious... humans said that they are betrayders, elves say that they are fools how belives they are gods.
But humans also said they were led by a great mage before. They seem dangerous. We cant trust them either.

Necropolis
They are trying to conquer the great south! They come to the sea and spread death with them, they destroy our towns in the south.
And there numbers and power is increasing fast, soon we cannot defend ourselves against them anymore.
We really need help against them!

Dark Citadel
What are these? Noone seem to have heard of them.

Hive
Hmm, they seem to be a great power controlled by godlike creatures. Perhaps they can kill the undead for us?
After all, they live in that continent the undead does.
But what will they do after that, kill us?

Sanctuary

In the short info it says that they belive in Shalassa, which is there arch enemies gods. They belive in another side of Shalassa, similar to how Necromancers belived in Asha some time ago.
