stop getting off topic 
and i will admit that most of nintendo's games are not reared towards teenagers in particular instead focusing on the general players. but some games have popped up that are enjoyable. and it may be a blessing that the wii doesn't focus on that kind of thing.
My parents don't approve of getting an xbox or ps3 because of cost and a good portion of the widely publiscised games are M. (17+)

Yeah, Teenagers might be into that stuff, but you can't say that the game is not an adult game can you? Surely with all those things I mentioned, you can't really classify that as a 'teenage' game right?
Yeah, your right it one respect, its a TEENAGE and an adult game.
Think about it, Teenagers always want to get stuff which is out of their reach, and so watch adult media and play traditionally adult games.

ok guys, heres my turn for a big long post of all the consoles of the seventh generation
~Wii~ My rating-
A great console that i own and play frequently. although tonnes of kiddy games like pokemon and mario strikers charged(even though its a good game, a little to kiddish and cartoony) there are a lot of great games for teens to enjoy like:
Super Smash Bros. Brawl- an addiciting game with a nice amount of violence and the nintendo wi-fi connection to play with anybody around the world. the only thing i don't like is the cartoonyness of new charectors. i mean just look at Link in his pale twilight princess outfit and that gay-looking king dedede. i think nintendo had more practice creating the original charectors which made them more realistic and better looking.
Metroid Prime: Corruption- great shooter with a small RPG twist. don't own it but have played it at my friend's house and really liked it because of good realistic graphics, no cartoonyness, and a nice concept.
LoZ: Twilight Princess- a great game with a great concept and no cartoony graphics.
Guitar Hero III- come on, who doesn't like that? its the best!
Red Steel- Nice game taking the power of the wii remote to its max.
And Call of Duty 3 of course!
Now here are some games that older teens(15+) like. i haven't played any for long enough so i could give a review
Resident Evil, Manhunt 2, No More Heroes, House of the Dead
Wii also has fast internet which depends on ur home's internet connection speed. and the shop channel which lets you buy good ol' classics.
P.S. the remote just beats everything that other consoles have .
~Xbox 360~ My Rating-
I don't own it, and have barely played Halo 3 at my friend's house. but from my expirience, a great console with nice graphics, i would say with the equal awesomeness of the Wii. as for the games, you just need one, and one only, and thats Halo 3
~PS3~ My Rating- 
PS2 with remote PS2 controllers, better graphics, complicated games, and internet. i have no clue why anybody would want that, unless they are a pro gamer. but i'm not, and i enjoy the Wii due to its remote.
All i have to say so far.

wulfstan that reveiw is biased.
you would need to play more 360 games and more ps3 games to be able to truly voice an opinion.

@ mamga: actually, i don't. i have played a couple of Xbox 360 and PS3 games and got an expression. first expressions are the most important. i played Wii for the first time at my friend's for what, 5 minutes? and decided to get it right away because of the Wii being such a great console. then my other friend had an Xbox 360 and a PS3. guess what, i spent nearly an hour on each console and it didn't convince me that it was a good console and i should start to consider buying one.

Here are my codes for anyone who would like to have them.
As for the rest of you who are bashing the wii, please stop. I know you may not like it, and it's fine if you say so, but don't keep going on and on about it.
Personaly, I really like the wii and don't think it's made for kids at all. Even some of the more "kiddy" game are actually very fun if you give them a try. Like Warioware for instance. The whole game is just random minigames that you compete in and its insanely fun especially if you have 6 or more people.
If your looking for more mature games, try Metorid Prime 3: Corruption (absolutly amazing, but I suggest playing the first 2 to fully understand the story) or No More Heroes (I havnt played it yet, but from everything I've see, it seems quite violent).

Generally, all mature games have violence in them. I'm sure there are a few exceptions, but most are that way.

It's perfectly fine if you want to share your opinions, they're welcomed. If you dont like it, thats fine too. I never said you had to like it, I'd just prefer if you said you didnt like it once instead of going on and on about it.
We may not all agree about the wii, but theres bound to be something we can all agree on that will make us all happy.

Nintendo lost Rareware and Rare created awesome games for N64 along side Banjo Kazooie, DK, Killer Instinct,Goldeneye, Perfect Dark ...
Rare is very popular on Xbox now and I hope Killer Instinct 3 will be created for that console 
Still, Wii has great features and Zelda is one of the best games

Well aren't you lucky. Or have rich parents.
They bought you a Wii and you have a pc so why do you need 360 or ps3?
Really, almost all (decent) games that are for 360 or ps3 come to pc too so why bother?
And who said there were no mature games on gamecube? Resident Evil 4?
But it is true that there aren't many violent games on Nintendos except a few Shadowmans here and there. Not very many "cool" teenager games. True. That should be changed but what can you do? Besides there are enough of those games on pc anyway.
But can there be a more mature game than Super Mario galaxy? I think not. It takes more balls to play it than it takes to play Manhunt or Silent Hill you know.

Because consoles are MADE for games, whereas PC's are not. Sure, they can play games, but that is not their primary function. Never has and it never will.

Yeah but with pc and wii almost are games are already playable to him.
And still most games are better with pc.

That I can agree upon. Maybe it is because of the sheer upgrade ability that you can have with the PC's, whereas it is hard to upgrade consoles.

guys! guys! this thread is for discussing the Wii and the Wii only. us wii-fans don't want you violence perverts ranting how there isn't enough mature games on Wii and how PS3 is better. if you want to discuss how wii is worse(its not) than other consoles/PC go make a thread discussion about that. but please, don't spam the thread with comparison of Wii to other consoles.

The title of this thread is Wii Discussion. That is exactly what we are doing. So you think that comparing the Wii to other consoles is not actually talking about the Wii? Like I said before, freedom of speech, and that is what this thread is for and that is what people will talk about. You don't really control what is said and done here, that is for other members to do. The discussion of the Wii compared to other consoles is relevant and I will keep on discussing it in this thread because I think it is relevant to the conversation and the thread.
