OK, I just sent an updated set of maps.

About the seer's huts. They can ask for up to 8 artifacts each. You can put something in a readme file to explain why there is an underground if you want. I know if I were playing the map, I'd wonder about it.

Good, good, and good!  I won't complain about an issue with 3...unfortunately I'm an anal retentive and the position (or rather, the lack of) a rock in a specific place doesn't sit well with my eyes, but wouldn't dare get involved with such insignificant things...any other person in the world looking at it would think it looks perfectly normal.

Interesting about the seers.  Seers are fun, I like bringing stuff to seers, even if it gets me killed.

As long as it doesn't need complicated ERM scripts I'm willing to help.

It's quite done, now.     But thanks for the willingness!

I'm well into this game now and am going to sleep...all I can say is that the comps are *very* noticeably better with the changes.  I'm loving this.

I just won a game...was much more interesting.  Having won, I noticed you didn't increase the number of Behes.    Don't worry about it for now.

A question.  Did you add a bit of hills in front of Oasis on the Necropolis island?  You may not have, I just don't remember it being there before...and in red's area, near the marletto tower, once again I could be imagining things but I could have sworn that tower was inaccessible from the left...(if you can't tell, these suppositions are going unsupported because this new version is so superior in my opinion that I just deleted the originals - but don't think I'm complaining or blaming you for anything, I'm just listing thoughts as they come into my head.  )

<<<A question.  Did you add a bit of hills in front of Oasis on the Necropolis island? >>>

I didn't add any hills, but I moved one slightly. The hill currently above and slightly to the left of the mausoleum was moved up and right one grid. Looking at it now it probably didn't need to be moved. I did it because the different shape of the tomb of souls compared to the skell dwell caused it to be shfted to the right, which also bumped the guard to the right and down.

<<<in red's area, near the marletto tower.....>>>

Nothing was changed there. I even compared the before and after maps, and no change.

BTW, while looking at the red area, I just now recognized the map. I was just playing it maybe 3-5 months ago, but never finished it.

Ah, so something *is* different at the Necropolis (I couldn't help noticing that the Oasis was less accessible...can't explain why I never noticed the open move grid to the marletto tower, though...).

As for this map in my case...what I did, hm...2 years ago perhaps is I went through every single scenario map that there was in the scenarios file, and this is one of 3 maps that I liked, and this has been my favorite ever since.  (3 you say?  Yes, I'm very picky...)

Hi guys
I created this account because of this amazing map - Back For Revenge.
I've played it over 10 times, with many options variations in WoG or just clear map from Heroes Complete..
I want to recommend playing it with WoG - Ghost Behemoths grow every week and in the end, there are over 900 Ghost Behemoths :-)

NOW! WHAT I WANT TO SAY...
Since i love this map so much, i decided, to make real big change in it!
Well.. i decided to create an underground for it. Underground would look exactly the same - but there would be different towns on exactly the same islands with small differences (dwelings, main resources, rare dragons dwellings)
Dungeon instead of Rampart, Necropolis instead of Castle, Tower instead of Inferno and Stronghold instead of Fortress..
Than 4 players would be on ground, other 4 player in the underground. Place on each island Subterranean gate - so just like before you would have to deal with opponent on lower island instead of dealing with the second player on the same island.

Than - I would ban the spells and artefacts, that allow you fly, and I would exptend cursed ground so dimension door could not be used for teleporting to the Behemoths.

In the undergroud would be the same cannyon on copy of Rampart island (now Dungeon island) but - there would be just two border gates and instead of Behemoths last Keymaster't Tent needed to get to the Behemoths (So anyway you would have to go in the underground!)
Than increase the number of Behemoths on 900 and prolong maximum game time to 9 months.

AND NOW
I'm not asking you, to do this variety of this map for me. I've already done exactly copy of Rampart island (i mean really precise - every monster, resource, stone, tree (just mountains are bit different)

But It's really long work, so before I start doing other islands i want to ask you guys... Is there any option ctrl+c and ctr+v in Heroes Map Editor? Of course there is, but I mean for whole map. This would save a LOT o work if I would just copied ground, place it under ground, and than made rest of changes.
If there is no such option, or can not be even easily programmed, than I would be looking for some mate, who would help me with at least one island.

For those, who are not interested, please tell me you opinions about this my idea :-)

P.S. I know that there is WoG map editor upgrade, that can copy and paste minimap - which helped me a lot, but this made just shapes of islands. All obstacles, towns, artifacts and so one are waaaaay more work.. :-)
Thanks again for your opinions

Handy

Yes, that's possible. Slava created a tool for this task. And it was 'extended' recently by GrayFace, look here > http://sites.google.com/site/sergroj/wog#TOC-Map-Editor-Patch-v3.3

It should be backward compatible but you need to install WoG to make it run.

Edit: However no way for Mac version, I'm afraid. Although old Slava's tool worked from dos command line, if I remember right.
