I don't know if you can find this on the Net somewhere since I made it up myself
You must acquire exactly 4 (four) ounces of water in a vial. However, you have only a vial that can hold up to 5 ounces of water, and another one that can hold up to 3.
How can you get exactly 4 ounces of water from a lake? (you have no additional measurement available)

Fill in the 5 one.
Pour from the 5 one into the 3 one, filling the later.
Now you have exactly 2 ounces in the 5 one.
Throw away the water in the 3 one.
Pour the 2 ounces from the 5 one into the 3 one.
Fill the 5 one again.
Pour from the 5 one to the 3 one, the 3 one, having two ounces filled from 2 steps above, filling it to maximum.
You end up with 4 ounces in the 5 one and with 3 ounces in the 3 one.

You just 'feel' it and measure it with your gut feeling
Ok here's how: you fill the one with 3 ounces. You drop it in the other one so you fill it with 3 ounces. You then re-fill the one with 3, and put it in the one with 5 until it's full. Then flush the one with 5, so you have only 1 ounce in the one with 4. Then you put it in the one with 5 (after it's flushed), re-fill the one with 3, and fill the one with 5. Total you have 4 in it now.
not sure if it makes sense though
