Characters/Creatures/Neutrals/NCF_Crystal_Dragon/Anim/crystaldragon-move.xdb

Increase the <SpeedFactor> value, but not too much.

It's very vulnerable to changes.
I'll give you a hint the default value is always set to 1, so you can feel how much the Crystal D moves faster than Magma with the value set to 1.5.

it will never appear on a map unless you have placed it on one by yourself in the editor


RTMG can adds more of 100 of them in a map with a seconds

Anyway, I already know a little about the effect of tier 8 creature in armies.

Because, the NCF Giants Creatures created by Shadow of Death are overpowered like a tier 8 in RTMG.

And I noticed a thing about the high power of this kind of creature...

I don't suggest a value bigger than 15000-20000 like limits

Because, when a hero has this creatures (even few) in his army,
the AI don't take the risk to fight with him and never AI fights.

And opposite is true too, if the compute has a tier 8 creature with a big power value
then it believe very strenght and the only things it wants is to kill you immediately

Also, the quantity viewer indicates often "Very Risked" or "Mortal"

But, It's false. Heroes in H5 are able to kill a tier 8 very very easily.

A Hero level 20 can kill 1 or 2 of them (and maybe more) with only one shot.

a 800 HP like Crystal Dragon is automatically killed by a average Hero.

I must disagree - 1 Tier7 creature can only be killed by a lvl 25 or so hero.

I invite you to go replay, no hero awaits level 25 to be able to kill a tier 7 with only one shot

Ok, this is true, if H5 game calculates well the mathematic formule about the tier's value like 8.

I hope that was been really tested and isn't just a theory.

According to the fan-made manual, it is actually true. Damage for level 8 creatures differs from that of other creatures as it is simply calculated as 10 % x Level 7 damage.

Yes, the Tier 8 creature concept marvelously works (I tested)

I didn't know that we can create Tier 8 creature to represent the big boss ones.

It's also important that their presence in a map be rare.



I ask the permission to Radar:

to use Crystal Dragon in my project in the aim to protect
some important Relic Artifact or anything

and to create a guarded dwelling for that players can recruit it.

Is it possible to create editor object, which is just random level 8 spawn? I was trying to deal with it, but got lost in all these related files.

Actually, it is not a fixed 10% x Level 7 damage. If you look in GameMechanics\RPGStats\DefaultStats.xdb you'll see that in the <Melee> section there are 8 different values (for damage at level 1 and at level 30 - the rest are linear interpolations). The last one is indeed a tenth of the second last one, because that's how many level 8 creatures you kill (at level 1 or 30)

btw, the Summoned Phoenix is considered a level 8 creature.

This is good question

I don't know if this is possible.

My project don't never use the RandomStack objects.

It directly put the Reference AdvMapObject link in the map.xdb file, as H5's RMG

I remade my texture last night.  Here's a quick screen of it:




erm.. to get that look i had to remove all standard magma dragon effects and set the mode to am_transparent.  Please also add the glowing heart (I never could figure out how to get it all to carry thru to in game)

woah, that beast is 3 times tougher than my own level 8 creature which is about twice as strong as a level 7 unit.

Don't worry pause.

I'm releasing an update pack for my NCFs. It will contain the Crystal Dragon with rebuilt file structure so if you want to change his skin you will need to swap one file instead of two.
