I need to get a new computer. I miss the drama  .
I will be back playing soon.
In the meantime I dont support buttholes because i know Strider's kind from my past playing.
You knew what was expected SQ.
You knew there was a chance to play Strider.
You knew the consequences but you played on, cried & whined, knowing how Strider is.
Then you quit.
As far as i am concerned you are a quitter.
I had more heck then most i know playing tournaments & in a sub tourney I never quit.
Your a goody two shoes SQ.
Finish what you start. Kick his butt in the match.
People support you because of how Strider is.
Complications happens in big tournies like this.
Yall need to learn to compromise.
You agreed to twilight so deal with it.

I can't believe this post has lasted this long. Held tournament players to a higher standarad I guess. I know my opinon counts for 0, but Valentin should not be punished because sq dropped out. I realize that Strider won the match, but in all fairness it should restart 0-0. Just my 2c worth.

I disagree.
Strider being a butthole or not won that match.
If anything he is being punished not valentin.
I like Valentin but the point is that he would of never of been in it in the first place if that quitter did not quit.
It is actually a privledge that valentin is even in it.
I say it stands because Strider won that match.
Why should he win 2 more times.
What if the slate was washed cleaned & Strider won the first match, but lost the other 2 matches.
That would be BS 7 he would have the right to be angry.

1-0 sounds very, very unfair and broken ... Valentin not played a single game, so must be 0-0 . He has nothing to do with SQ-Strider problems ... Why put on him penalty ?

Well because this was SQ's Matchup.
Valentine would of never even of been there if SQ did not QUIT.
So basically your punishing Strider for that game he won.
It does not make sense how your feeling sorry for someone who was not even in it.(Taking SQ's Place)

He knew what he was getting into.
Maps a secret or not.
SQ agreed to it.
If there was no compromise, then he should of asked Ves about it for a compromise.
Plus SQ making a thread to redicule Striders name.

I dont blame Strider for lashing out at any of yall.

Thx, Aculias, for repeatedly calling me "a bang hole" hehe It warms my heart knowing that a person, I haven't even met online, already gives me a pet name  In reciprocity, I withhold the right to repay the debt when opportunity comes haha At least, you seem to be fair and that's what counts...
For soap opera lovers, here are my views on the issue for the final time:
Negotiations
1. In this phase you talk and promote your position. Later you live with your decision and keep it shut.
Phrases like "but i wanted hg or rmg and no pairing generations" are rubbish. If the other party (me in this case) doesn't agree then one has to find another way. And so both contenders reach consensus step by step. Or you ask Ves to do it.
2. About me having imposed all wishes on poor Sq.
Untrue. Actually it was quite even. Judge yourselves - I proposed 1st map, Sq did 2nd. I proposed generating pairs as in the rest of Caesars matchups and Sq chose the actual method (3 pairs for each game vs. 5 pairs for the whole round). I proposed TOH MOD, Sq denied it. Sq proposed "no Urgath and no loading" and I accepted.
IMO, Sq was not that bad in negotiations as he loves to claim.
3. Manner of the negotiations.
Actually, we chatted friendly as always. It was long though. I enjoyed the part where Sq took time to work on my every suggestion with back-stage councillors hehe
The conspiracy theory
1. It may only go two ways - either is was all square and fair OR Zilo and me cheated Sq into a trap where I get to play orcs.
Map was chosen BEFORE Sq decided on generation system. Now, imagine the odds of me playing orcs if he had selected the system where we generate 5 pairs for all 3 games and stike out 1 each. For my orc trap to work following requirement had to be fulfilled: in first 2 pairs Sq doesn't get orcs; 1st pair has orcs for me and Sq doesn't strike them out; if I got orcs in 2nd pair then I must strike out 1st pair and waste striking option.
Those who can calculate probabilities will see that such a trap is completely absurd.
2. I was lucky to get orcs.
Untrue. According to msn logs I spent 22 minutes deciding between orcs and inferno. It must have been one hell of a theater then AND I must have known that this issue will be brought for public discussion.
3. Zilo changed map to be orkish after we selected factions.
Everyone can compare map versions 0.90 (tested by Fiur and buddies) and 0.91 (used for game). In short, there are no orkish changes at all. Accusers are plain liars.
Deduction - there was no unfair element, no trap. Sq simply got unlucky with pairing.
POST-game chat
1. This was actually the trigger for the thread.
We chatted for 3 days. For 3 days there were no accusations of conspiracy. Sq snapped ONLY ABOUT my behaviour claiming that it was arrogant etc. IMO, it was you who were offensive throwing into my face your experimental stuff for 3 days. When I defended the map and finally claimed that I can do with sylvan there what you couldn't - THIS IS THE PLACE where breakdown happened.
I acknowldedge that I made a grievious mistake by not being silent. I fully understood your emotional distress but I HAD TO DEFEND friend's creation. As I stated before - now I pay for my righteous ways.
2. Reversed game.
After listening to how orcs rule on the map I offered the 2nd Caesars game as reverse and leave the Let's Fight game for 3rd. It was solely my courtesy as matchup settings are different. I simply obliged to public opinion.
However, in no way an argument between players can serve as accusation in cheating and matchup called void.
Valentin taking over
Example. Boston Celtics wins Los Angeles Lakers 3:1 in series till 4 victories. After the last defeat Kobe and buddies smoke weed and make love to each other. The whole club gets disqualified. How should NBA proceed? Grant victory to Celtics or if they agree grant opportunity for Sanantonio Spurs to take Lakers place and continue the series from 3:1?
Or should they cancel Celtic's victories and start finals all over???
Btw, I still think that Sq is honorable and he regrets that drunken outburst. We, who know Sq, realize that it was not his usual himself talking trash.
P.s. I can support all that's written above with msn logs. If Ves asks I can send them over.

From always being in the first place bring hate and insults. Too bad that Vesuvius let you guys act like monkeys for a banana. Flamingo/Antal quit the tourney because of insults/bad mannered players. Frank quit also for same problem. Now Strider is the target. it is just a question of rank. Continue like this and you will be happy, people never learn from their mistakes. Always is the fault of someone else.
You guys accuse Strider for always choosing a winner setup. What's wrong with that? Play him and beat him, if you can. And shut up and learn if you can't. In what the "bad" presonality of Strider affects your lower rank?

In Bulgaria we're calling this "gypsy tricks" (this phrase is old like the world) Strider is using Gypsy tricks to get to the next round easier. If you are real player and you don't fear Valentin, meet him in all matches. Otherwise even if you win in the next game (if you start with 1:0) Valentin can always say that you defeated him unfair, and if you ask me it will be unfair. But imagine if Valentin defeat you 2 times? (1:2) it will be shame for you! If I was on your place I'll want 0:0, even if I want to win the round I'll like to win with honour not with gypsy tricks.
If you win agains Valentin, he will be the guy with honour not you, and if you win the final, he can always claim that he is the real Caesar, not you, and he will have the right. I'm telling you this very friendly, meet the challenge don't try to run. If you beat Valentin in 2 games you will prove you as one of the best players.

Yeah, you're right about that. And I honestly believe that before the game chances are 50/50. So every victory is achievement. I'm a bit reluctant to let it go in this case... Especially, if you follow my logic in example with Boston Celtic
All in all, emperors and several lords are quite even in skill. I might win 2-0 and lose as well. Usually the victor is decided by tiny things. If both contenders are equal in force then random factor is crucial.

Yes, this was the part, u showed me the so called balance after u cleared the shipyard, with a day 7 level 11 vinrael without enough movement points to board the ship,and with no signs of how much losses you have absorbed versus a day 5 level 12 kraugh produced from my side, was that proof ???? But then you said you couldn't be bothered to do anymore trials.
The map is just plain orkish and you just refused to accept it. The concept was a totally flop but you insisted its a good map just because zilo made it.
And your comments were, only zilo and fiur's map are good in your opinion, when you have not even clocked a single game on other player's map except the 10 deleb games in dml !!!!

Right in the very very first place, if you had accept 3x random rmg or allowing ves selection and just 1 startup instead of insisting in that 3xheroes or 5xheroes strikeout which imo is the fairest possible solution , i wouldn't have felt so suspicous because yet again, for the 6th time in a row in my games with you, u got that dominant race on that particular map! It was a 12.5% chance and you just so managed to get that yet again. And this time it was biased beyond my wildest imagination!
And for the so called concilliors you were talking about, yes so many of the other emperors msned me to support while negotiating with you, to warn me not to let u take control of the negotiations! Ever wondered why ?
I even went as far as to playing my own vinrael versus my own kraugh to get the truth, the final battle was a complete slaughter for sylvan.
Maybe you could have done better as vinrael, but the fact is that a player so good like yourself tries to get lame advantages yet again.

I think the underlined part is a half admision that the map was good for orcs and bad for sylvan... and you should have said something like that to Sq from the start, and this thread probably wouldn't be here.
On the next issue... the game with Valentin, I must say you are right, you should be asked if Val can play instead of Sq, given the current situation.
But if you accept to play him, and not move on automatically to the next round, then you must play him from the start, cause he didn't lose that game against you, it was Sq who did
Anyway, in the end I must say that I think Strider versus Valentin is a match made in Heaven  ... I bet that the negociation between them will last for half a day

These accusations are demagogy as well. For more than a year I play FULL RANDOM ONLY on maps that are known to both opponents. Is there a more fair game setup at all Btw, considering my low games count, mostly I had less experience in any particular map hehe
Dear Sq, only my first 5 games were with Deleb against Havez on DML and that was very long time ago.
If we have touched the subject, then I think that those who accuse Infinitus and some other about playing preset hero/race are unfair. It's always the other party's decision to accept such matchup. If you lose in the end then you should have known better.
For instance, we tried to set up a game with Val year + ago. We could not agree on the setup. But that's fine. No game is also a result of negotiations and by no means should be considered as "terrible action" by opponent hehe And on the contrary, we arranged a game quite easily just recently.
About game 1 being void. I can agree to many things as long as there is a consistent fair system behind it.
Consider this following the earlier example: Lakers are replaced by Spurs and series start over. At the result 1:2 all Spurs join sect and abandon basketball. So the next contender is Utah Jazz (again score is reset to 0:0) but before the finals are over they all get enrolled in army and sent to Iraq. Next opponent is Dallas Maverics and again they start from 0:0... Where is the line?
To avoid above vicious circle situation, usually the "relay system" is employed. If one of participants has to be replaced then the next one just picks up the baton and carries on. And I agree with the world's practice.
But, hey, the man has spoken and already yesterday, when I posted my objections, it was clear that Ves won't change his decision.  Just gotta live with it.
To Sq: for the 6th time - come and crush me with orcs in the Caesars. It's pointless to argue. Both of us just have a different understanding of creeping potential. But you let emotions to stand in between...
Just for fun - let's consider my situation. I got orcs-sylvan game in 1st and imo there are ~50/50 chances. But I got lucky in 2nd game and got Sylvan-Inferno. Sq suicided in the first (he didnt even need mighty orcs to lose the game hehe). So I figured that my chances are quite good - it's 1-0 and a favourable pair in the next.
Later, Sq wrote in msn that he will lose 99%. So now I, in turn, can voice my suspicions here that I've held back from forum. Namely, he assumed the role of victim as it was the easiest way out - he had disposed the series as 0-2 and a bit of post-game argument provided him with this bright idea to forfeit. Sadly, I do have my doubts...
To summarise, I was quite confident that I'll advance with 2-0 but Ves has put me back to the line. Needless to say that next time I might not be lucky with pairing at all. And all that only because of one offended half-drunken man several days later.
To Towerlord: of course you are right. As I have stated it already several times, this thread is a product of my own inconsideracy - I should have bit my tongue back
In the end, I think we won't have many problems with Val. Even if we aren't able to find a compromise, we can always ask Ves to decide. My little experience with Val shows that though he's strict in negotiations and handling d/c, he is fair and no whiner. I enjoyed our only game and, indeed, Val is one of the strongest around.

Yes, so that was your purpose and trying to get me back into it, so as to clinch the 2-0 easily. And fyi, i had emailed ves to pass the 2nd victory for you before his decision was out, of course, it depends on his decision which unfortunately did not go your way.

Never was it an intention to make myself be a victim to lamely ask for a return lame game.

Forfeiting the game was because i don't enjoy playing with you at all and insisting the map was good when it was completely unplayable and biased.
And so many of the explanations you made were skillfully packaged to make yourself look better even made everything looked more disgusting now.

You call me hypocrite because I entered the Caesars to fight for winning? Or because I got lucky with Inferno-Sylvan pair and want to stick with it?
Indeed, I was glad for victory as each is achievement in the Caesars. Is defending it a hypocrisy?

I'm offer Strider to play 3 games with me Sylvan vs Orc. Same rules/position/map version like his game vs Sq79. If he won match he will be right to ask for 1:0 vs Val but if he loss he will be out from Ceasar for his cheap play and Sq79 will continue match vs Val.
If you are scared from me go play with Val from 0:0
Poor Strider need advantage for every match

PS: for improved handicap to Strider, use the toh mod

Strider has least games played of any Emperor...why would he play more needlessly? So I guess you must be making a joke or some sort of moral point...
IMO Strider vs. Valentin from 0-0 is the way to go, as if SQ79 was never involved at all.
I'm still not clear why Ves' original suggestion wasn't taken.
But hey it's not my tourney. I just watch the replays.

Its not about me. Sq79 say map is orc and anti-sylvan. Strider say its not true. Zilo challenge all emperors to play with orc vs Strider for defend his map. So i'm accept challenge. I think map us pure orc and Strider get cheap unfair won. He need be out from Ceasar for dishonest play.
