Uhm the Archangel's ability doesn't reduce hp.

It doesn't? Good to know. I thought it was just like casting the res spell. Thanks. The point was that it didn't res anything and was a waste of a turn/ability. I'll watch the other one now Az!

Yeah no argueing that that match was a complete disaster we got that^^.
And the fact that Skele lost isn't telling that Sylvan is bad it's that Skele can't play Sylvan probably. Watch my replay and tell me that Sylvan sucks . It's a matter of skill and having the right build (lol yeah as for everybody else aswell ).

Here's the replay.
Contrary to general opinion, necropolis is hard to play. As necromancer you have few turns in your hands, so almost perfect unit placement and a lot of experience to know when is the right time to cast the suitable spell is needed.
For example: you purchased princes instead of lords knowing haven has the strongest retaliation (don’t know if you had confusion spell) and then you placed them in the first line… that mistake alone may cost you a defeat. Vampires are small, fast and can fly, so hide them behind your meat shields and don’t let them take too much damage till the enemy is too exhausted to effectively bring them down.
Another mistake was to purchase warriors and then place them in a corner protecting zombies… If you choose warriors it is for their shield allies ability, so you want them next to lichs, vampires and wraiths (your key units!).
PS: The small paladin stack may seem weak, but if you don’t kill it as fast as you can, your dark spells are useless = defeat.

@ Elvin:
About the Dark Magic- this was the skill I got and couldn't get rid off
About Luck and Attack- I got those ****ty skills and had choice between them and then between one of them and perk to another I got very unlucky skills to choose
But Phoenix saved the day, anyway ;P
And that attack and luck thing helped him a lot (just luck at the fight simply all attacks made by birdy were lucky XD )
About the Stalkers- I just didn't really know what to do On the one hand I knew that Hydras are the most durable on the other- Stalkers had that invisibility and were unharmalbe for some time
I told ya I though I would loose since the very beggining
Funny is that- this was my first full, serious fight with dungeon
I think I did quite well as for the first time XD

Haha the ballista was fun (triple + Imbue ballista is a great but hard to get combo), however those results are tempored by the Haven build with choosing destructive/fire build...which was an ineffective and quite odd Haven build I think...
In my opinion they may still have lost but it would have been a lot better they had gone for light or dark as Haven is meant to do. The heroes turns were basically wasted.
Ofc If you're gonna go destructive, why not get for cold death to destroy the potential of a deadly imbued triple ballista right away?

I don't know if you noticed but the Master of Fire perk reduces armour by 50% thus he fried 7 of my Ancient Treants in one not lucky blow without having to charge... and he had Fiery Wrath which futher increases your damage by 10% so going desctruction isn't a bad idea at all. What saved me was that I had lots of spare money and bought a tent just for fun and it actually saved me oO since it cured me of that armour reduction effect.
No Haven didn't make any mistakes it was simply my build and my luck with the tent that killed him.

We just played our duels:
First duel: dungeon vs necropolis (azagal 0 - final_boss 1) DOWNLOAD
A empathic warlock of doom with 29 spell power vs a necromancer with cloak of sylanna, ring of lightning protection, sap magic, protection and vitality, but no summoning!
Curse of the netherworld saved my ass… Boneward just refused to show up!
Second duel: sylvan vs haven (azagal 0 – final_boss 2) DOWNLOAD
Imbued triple ballista + destructive vs knight with empathy, storm wind and magic immunity spell. Ground obstacles snowed me up, but imperial griffins killed those awesomely overpowered druids pretty fast, so the battle was easier from that point even though I did some mistakes.

U could have played also the third duel to honour ur oponent and (if lucky) to get 3rd point. Or at least let him get 1...
Unless u fought three times already and didn't post the third battle...

Good games both, there were some funny surprises Defeating dungeon with necro is commendable though Azagal did make some mistakes. For one he cast meteor over his blackies and then he left them close to enemiy units. Secondly he used deep freeze on the zombies when he should have conserved his mana. Was close in any case.
The second was just unlucky with timing. Personally I would have waited with the ballista till it was imbued. Also I have a feeling that Azzie used the Ogre shield, lower initiative for sylvan. If the arcanes had shot first things might have been very different but he even moved them to the center to be buthered by the archangels.. Another thing was bad prioritization with destructive, he should have aimed for archangels since he already knew that magical immunity was in play.
Edit:
If you get 2 wins you can't get a third point by playing more. That would be fair only if everyone had played three games but that is not the case.

Heehe yeah Elvin pretty much summed things up correctly. And yeah I believe I had the ogre shield didn't think ut would have that kind of impact . I blew mana on the magic immunity guys and yeah bad priotization etc. and I lost the Dungeon game because I was overeager with empowered spells. 29 Spellpower (only wand and breastplate of eldritch might as artefacts oO) was cool but the bastard had every protection except for boneward.
In any case it were great games I had loads of fun and I actually learned something^^. Best of luck to you Boss that was some epic fighting heehe.

I watched the replays again and omg I did a lot of horrible mistakes… If I play my next duels like that I won’t be in the final.
Destructive magic… so powerful and easy to use. I definitely need more training against destructive based strategies cause spells and artifacts won’t save me again.

I have just finished my first duel with Elvin, and, believe it or not, I won.
It was Necro (me) vs. Dwarves (him) but he had some trouble with resources though.
Here's the replay.
Funniest part was when half of his army resisted my CoTN.
We'll finish the duels tomorrow.
