I had Boneward, I didn't think I'll encounter a Destructive Hero but it was still good vs Archmage's Fireball. Turns out that skill was more useful than I initially thought though  But even with it, the Academy's Destructive Spells did extreme damage , I somehow suspect the presence of Emerald Slippers. With MotW I think it was deadlier than a Warlock.
Well, now that word of light is gone, wizards, rune mages, and rangers will always pick destructive against your poor undead troops. 
Something more about your necro vs academy duel:
You don’t based your strategy on crystals so probably lich masters would have helped you a bit more, as their raise dead spell gives you some extra time when fighting a destructive caster, specially if you have last stand. They also do as much melee damage as they do from long distance, which is similar to zealots’ melee damage, so if the enemy ties them up with gargoyles, djinss or something it has nearly no effect. However archlichs have some uses they are not just crystal detonators: their decay spell is like implosion in fascicles for academy troops (more initiative = more damage), and it only affects living creatures so it could never rebound back to your undead troops.
Summary: pick archlichs if you’re going to cast a lot of crystals and pick masters if you’re not going to do it.
By the way good to see more people using necropolis!

i hope i don't jinx elvin here, but it looks like this thread of his might end up being the longest one...and it only started in September!

@asheera: wow this sq79 guy look tough; knocked you off in the first round!!!
he must be really experienced, i think you would have to take advantage of his unfamiliarity with the latest tote changes to have a good chance of beating him!

I doubt it will surpass the tote thread, if it was not cleaned it would have easily reached 200 pages What I have in mind for now is one 5th tournament, the finals and 4 independent cups. And yes sq79 is good 
Meanwhile I have not seen felunio, hope we can get our games soon.

I swear to myself I'm not going to forget about Taunt again... this is just shameful to make the same mistake and forget about Taunt multiple times.

Btw.. i noticed elemental damage did not trigger at all, did u unlearn it or something ?

No, I had Expert Irresistible Magic and the other two perks (without Dark Ritual) - it's strange it didn't trigger at all.

We also played a third friendly match where i got my butt kicked (damn 1 stack of palas  )
1st match - Stronghold (pera) vs Dungeon (veco) 0:1
Constant luck + Master of Fire and even a max shatter can't help you. Without resistance you're toast
2ns match - Dungeon (pera) vs Academy (veco) 0:2
A close match. A very close match and that's how I love them, you never know what'll happen until the very end I thought he'll never conjure that Phoenix Luckily those Hives finally drained him out of everything so I had a moment of relief

Nice replays.
That Dungeon vs Stronghold one was a massacre. I think because:
1) Too many lucky shots on Dungeon's part
2) Stronghold did a few mistakes (did not block Grim Raiders with Chieftains, etc)

Nice replays, the dungeon game looked over when the dragons hit 2 stacks with luck i think, hard to do anything since.
Hehe that was alot of lucky first strikes by dungeon. But very nice replays

Shoot the dungeon v orc battle crashes the game for me, I can't play it. The academy one proves once again that academy is crazy strong and can never be counted out (esp with consume artifact). I loved seeing the phoenix pop up on the other side, elemental balance is cool.

Crazy strong..? Pera could have won that match, if anything it was one of the closest I've seen lately.
And you cannot see the replay because it was played on special terrain. Get Zenithale's mod from the masterpost and it will work.
About the orcs I will do some more testing, while veco was damn lucky maybe they need a small boost again.. What may return is the two wyverns, we'll see. What I can say for sure is that they did not charge dungeon from first turn, that would have pressured veco and given some rage boost as well. Also I disagree with the choice of maulers, very low hp. Finally their shatter dark did not pay off, it was a hit and miss - good thinking still.

Oh I guess I meant that academy has so many tricks up their sleeve you can never count them out...in that way I meant crazy strong. Not every comment I make is a statement of balance inequity!

@adon: After all those Academy nerfs and the fact that Consume Artifact is not what it once was (because of the no-level-3-mini-arties rule), I don't think Academy is imba anymore

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the banned lvl3 arties. At the last moment I remembered and went back to downgrade them
Now I'll have to be extra cautious when playing vs academy to check if there are no lvl3s. Normally I wouldn't check and since I asked Pera - I know he wouldn't as well.

Academy isn't imba (anymore), but its fun to play and watch play because of all the neat strategies you see. I kinda think consume artifact should take more of a hero's turn up than it does, but that's a H5 problem not a problem with the duel.
Have some matches and post more replays guys
