I like the ending, but I like even more that the problem was solved (the dupes destroyed themselves) before the server went down, this way, at least, the server going down, won't be a sad excuse for all the things happening, not being there anymore, and hopefully the "server down" won't influence anything that's happened, but might bring new exciting things into the world in stead of.
