The what if ethic question: Little people
[edit]The topic question is what would you do if you found little people by scientific technology, and basically (under evil circumstances) they produce crystals in order to survive by the wrath of humans to produce enough fuel for all the big people, or they produce them as their homes and items and are left alone, or as both to produce enough fuel for major uses for humans and themselves for homes technology, and etc,
but there are several conditions to what you can put down as your awnser, even more than I have listed. I will work to list more conditions on post four[/edit]
Please be creative with this, I want to see what kind of humanity I associate with by asking a weird question lol.
What if:
Little people existed
They fed on sugar
They were so tiny you never would have found them without microscopic binoculars.
When they are happy they produce fuel crystal homes and other structures, humans could take for fuel.
They needed sunlight and starlight to be happy (hence produce the crystal) So you couldn't easily protect them with little tunnels.
They lived in speratic areas and crated streets far from nation to nation.
What if:
They were intelligent enough to understand and produce signs in every language.
They appear to be psychic and very smart.
They are easily taken advantage of by making them happy then stealing their fuel crystals.
They mean us no harm.
Half the size of a street line could be their avenues,
The size of a basket ball hoop could be equivalent to whole nations.
What if they were happy when you give them small things called rewards and stuff.
this is the important part
What if your options involved but are not limited too:
Turning them into slaves to produce enough excess crystal to fuel big peoples economies.
Compromising with them and creating safe zones that big people would get arested for stepping on them.
Building things for them like transit routes
You could feed them, you could harvest from them in mean selfish ways or nice compromising ways.
What else would you do to or for them?
They are not edible, they are to small and trying to produce a million would end up in general debris and few little people mixed in.
there is an ending to this, I didnt know if I should post this in RPG Forum because this is half role play half ethics question. But the little people will change resulting in the way you handle them, and in realistc ways.

More conditions:
If they are forced to produce crystals they will to survive.
They are helpless against us but they appear to beable to read our minds.
Their origin is unknown.
They are secretive.
When using scientific technology their sounds are of a variation of squeaks in high pitch and low pitch sequences and some say you can tell how happy or sad they are if you listen right.
Animals tend to leave them alone
Bugs tend to try to lay eggs near them, and when they hatch they mind their own business.
Kids and other types of people like to step on known little people areas.
Ok that's enough conditions for now.

No this thread is serious lol Im being real. I thought about this out of the blue. I think it is an innovative way to get people to think about something kind of new and cool.
I'm not trying to dissuade I'm trying to encourage 
Final condition. When you talk to one the word seems to travel very fast to all related areas. FOR instance, you say "is there any spare crystal?" They would write a sign saying yes , no, and where if yes.

What if also they were very religious and every month they had a ceremony where they went out and killed a human and built a temple inside their mouth? But you couldn't lock them in their little basketball nations because they can teleport anywhere they wanted to? They can communicate easily with humans so you could say "please stop killing a random person every month" but then they would say "Our gods demand that we kill a human life every month". And then the conversation would stop because obviously there's no way to reason with that.
But since they produce energy crystal that fuels jet planes and SUV's you can't just wipe them out.
So one morning you wake up and find your wife is dead with a temple growing out of her mouth, for example.

I'm quite familiar with the fist sized creatures however I am speaking of a non existent -as far as we know that is- kind of people just like us however a thousandth of our size if not smaller, but no taller.
And the doozers manufacture were only eatable if I'm not mistaken.. These crystals and these little people, you see, are far more different than that by many means. (lol )

I already know your answers, and this I feared.. If you put 2 and 2 together you would make them happy long enough to harvest enough fuel for 10 life times then you would destroy their world.. Shame on humanity.

They use the crystal as about everything they function with. From buildings to signs, everything.. It takes full scale effort to produce a crystal the size of a dime, which would run a real vehicle for a whole year.
I think it's strange I have all of this figured out in my head.. There's more to it but I dont want to spoil the endings. The endings are not complete anyways.

I know this should be in a cross of VW, RPG, and OSM because it opens the path to ethical discussion, over fictional things. And role playing is involved.
Anyways..
What happens is they can only give you enough to sustain 50% of your nations (we'll call it mvassland) total fuel usage. They came right in time too, because you were running out of fuel. Their houses and buildings are so small you would have to destroy inches of them to get a tenth of a dime sized crystal. Then that would make them fear, and be unhappy. They would feel a loss of freedom of life with threats for their peaceful life.
Scientists believe you could take out their whole cities and avenues for 10 life times worth of fuel, which would destroy their peace forever, would kill many and leave several to wander alone with no form of transportation and not much food at all.
So its either sacrifice automobiles for the real big people who rave and rant about what you should do, or you take their 50% offering. Which 10 years from now would equal just enough fuel power to manage priority vehicles, and ships etc.. Maybe a few transit lines for the people going to far to use bikes. Maybe a few to sell to people who don't want to use bikes at all, at exaggerated prices.
I know, at least I think I know, what many nations would do in reality, and even though their not real it disturbs me, what would happen if they were real.
So you have to be a real governer here in this role play ethics question. you can protect them from angry humans, you can feed the humans with what they want. you can hope the little people thrive and produce more crystal.. But take all things into consideration. Do you construct 5 inch metal fences around their avenues and cities so people dont step on them? etc etc.
I know this has turned out to be kind of lame, it would work better in the rpg forum but to late for that.
