The tragedy of Baby P. Where is this world coming to?
During these dark times of economical crisis i wish to talk with you,other HC members(appearently this is the only place to discuss about serious things with serious people,but its not the point of this thread) about one of the cruelest murders during the last few years. I read abuot it in saturdays newspaper. And i was shocked.
17 months old baby cruely tortured and then killed. Broken spine and ribs, torn out nails,dog bites... Damn it, i wish to know what that poor child did to his mother and stepfathers(appearently that snow lived with two guys) and whats the most interesting is that British courts are doing nothing to punish those ... Damn it,i even cant find words to describe the baby killers. What was the nature of this crime? I have no idea. Do you?

Perhaps this is not a place to mention this (I am sure it is not), but the Ukrainian Insurgent Army during WWII killed thousands of infants just like that, and much more. It was very popular by those animals to stab infants to trees.. well, after having fun with their family. And possibly the infant itself.
So, you know, while it is cruel and horrible.. the world has seen crimes like those, but in thousands, just 50 years ago.
I believe the world (particularly Europe) has really become a better place over those 50 years.

There was similar situation in Poland, btw. Like half a year ago or so. Too bad it lasted longer. A few years, I believe. The child's stepfather didn't like the kid too much and his mother didn't care enough. So after a few years of beating and starving the kid, he finally killed him by a "well aimed kick". When he was dying on the hands of paramedics, his mother calmly hugged her and her new husband (the killer)'s son.
What a happy family.

Well that's completely normal.
Animals kill their partners cubs if they aren't theirs so why shouldn't humans?

That stuff Doomforge mentioned was pure genocide. And most of Ukrainian people were buried alive.( i recomend to watch the 'Soviet Story') Well USSR under Stalins rule was well... like a huge prison. And animals kill only weak and sickly cubs. IMHO people like baby P's murderers should be decapitaded(chop their arms off) and them burn them in towns square. A bit medieval,but it would be better than spending billions to implement helpless laws.

Dont feel specile, a case six mounths ago about a israely femily in ere who's grandfather raped the grandchild,murderd her,and cut her into pieces put her into a chest ad throughed to the river and the mother protected him...This stuff happends all the time,I'm sorry but our society is screwed enought as it is. no need for more maniacs.

If they really didn't want it, the rational thing to do would be to give it up for adoption. Not to torture and kill it.

Yes. But it doesn't matter to them what happens to the kid. So it's the same if they kill it, throw it out or give to adoption.
Just that adoption is more tropuble than the former two.

I agree, even just from a biological point of view its a total waist of new life. And besides its immoral.

Killing someting like that is after all completely immoral. Just sending it to adoption is a solution that is way better.
Lets say you have the choice of leaving sombody to starve to death and leaving it infront of a building of a organisation that would help it. Classic case, but this time we can help it and remove it.

too bad the orphanages are full anyway and nobody cares for those kids, everybody just wants his own kids, so those poor fellows rot in the orphanage and the happy parents who want their own kids instead of helping them just increase the overpopulation.
