Pretty hypocritical, I'd say. Israeli army is accused of using Palestinian families as human shields, and that it is a very common method. But not defensing Hamas behaviour, if they shoot rockets from schools. Yet then again, at least many UN sources have told that no place of theirs has been used by Hamas militants yet you have bombed them to the ground. Hard to tell what is the truth. But what is the truth, is that you can't blame the method of Hamas for the 1,300 dead Palestinians. "we did nothing, they just happened to be where we bombed. They didn't need to be there" That is just absurd.

In addition, Israel was much smaller when it was born. Why did they not keep it that way?
And as I said before, I dont believe 100% in human shields. There are other ways without killing civilans.
And since im studying buddhism now (and will maybe become part of it, but im to lazy) its my duty to "defend" the palestians since they are the once that suffers the most.
Gaza is like a prison, where everybody is pretty much doomed to die.
Lets hope the ceasefire lasts for a long time.

You may call me sick! Stupid and everything like that, but her is what me and allmost everyone i know thinks about it.
Muslims only wish in life is to blow everything up (Suicide bombers), and as long as theire fight stays in thoose to countries, i don't care.
they can kill each other if they like, and that is maybe the best. I still remember sep 11th (As everyone does), and serioulsy? Muslims/Taliban or what ever they are called is brainless, sick and doesn't think about what they are doing. The muhammed drawing from denmark whasnt anything to be pissed over. It's a drawing! How harmfull can a drawing be?

Can't you? Assuming that we believe that HAMAS is firing rockets from schools and hiding weapons in mosques (although I agree that finding a truly liable and non biased sort is hard), has HAMAS really no responsibility for the deaths of innocents? Of course they were not the ones who pulled the trigger, but still can you really say they have no part in those people's death? I can't.

Buddhists dont use weapons for warfare, just for fun and shows etc. Buddhists dont join competition. The most skilled martial arts people in the world are the Shaolin buddhist monks .
Yet they would never use any of their skills to hurt anybody.
If I become a buddhist, I will also become a pacifist. Eye for an eye doesnt work anymore, its time to step out of the old age (where religion is included, without religion this, crusades, witches etc would never have happened).
Killing over a thousand people is not acceptable, it doesnt matter if Hamas protects weapons et ceterea.
I cant do anything in this conflict. But I can influence others in my surroanding. I can enlighten people in my class that doesnt know. I can make them change their minds.
If I had a gun, and another guy also had that then if the other guy tried to shot me, I would not shot him to death.
Instead I would shot at some other part of his body, so that he did not die but not able to shot me. Then I would call and ambulance or something.
In my buddhism, killing any living life is a crime but it also depends. Just because im turning into buddhism, doesnt mean I must stop eat meat.
Humans are predatoary animals, we have always eaten meat and will always do.
I can however reduce my meat consumatiuon and join animal rights orginsiations to reduce the meat production and make the animals there have such a good life as possible.
Shao'lin Xerox cant see any light in a such bloodthirsty people. I cannot see the other side of you.
Buddhists must however always think on the bright side.
The bright side on this conflict is that human dies. The human speices have a way to high population and its good that its reduced (but a better method would be to force everybody to have a maximum of one child).

A buddhist would not harm another being. In your scenario, a true buddhist would attempt to deter his attacker through words, not force. After all, violence achieves little. Right?
