9 players +1 GM so far, not bad. I'm still waiting for a few responses although I don't keep my hopes too high for them
I think we can start tomorrow and on that occassion -
will this setup be good for 8 players?
2 mafia
1 killer
2 detectives
2 healers
2 citizens
Roles work as in the Masterpsot of his thread but I am considering adding the Send Message ability for mafia and detectives. Those will work like this - mafia and each of the detectives can send one anonymus message during night turn to any of the players. Those messages would say that a specific person is or isn't mafia (without any further details).
Should we implement this or just go with the basic set of roles in the masterpost?

As far as some people play it the first time, perhaps we should start with the simplified rules without messages, but if somebody insists, I don't care.

Actually, detectives already have the ability to send a message to one other player telling them who is and who is not a mafia last time I checked.

They are not really undermaned. They + the killer are about 33% of the players, which is what DarkCrystal once told me should be the maximum number of mafia + killer. And remember that detective can only find out who is mafia, not who is the killer.

If that's the case then I have no objections. Mafia and each detective get to send messages via me, beware of false information

Trogdor was strolling in the streets late that night when all of a sudden the world turned black as he got hit with a club in the back of the head and thrown into a large potato sack immediately after. Shortly after at the river bank his feet were covered in cement and he himself got pushed over the edge. However before he could reach the water's surface a bullet pierced his heart causing him to die of the bullet wound while drowning.
"The ones who killed him must've hold a deep grugde againts him - that was a gruesome overkill." - comment of the police officer leading the investigation.
