Map Making
I was wondering... Is there a website or forum where people can discuss HoMM3 map making, upload maps so others can download and review them?
From my personal knowledge the two things which keep a game being played years after the initial hype is multiplayer and map making (there are still groups dedicated to creating maps for age of empires, which was released in 1997).

I've just rediscovered Heroes III, and started immediately making a map. A good editor makes a game so much more appealing to me. The last couple of years I've mainly been playing Civilization III, and the modding community there is as strong as ever. People are always uploading things and commenting on each other's work.
So I understand that this site doesn't cater for uploading attachments? That would be a bummer, as the kind of forum you're looking for - and me as well, actually - would greatly benefit from an upload system so that people could easily access each other's work and discuss it.
So, I share your question. When I'm finished with my map, I would be looking for some playtesters, that kind of thing. Anybody have a suggestion?

Hi, MorgothBauglir and Coconut. Welcome to Heroes Community. Since you are interested in mapmaking, check this thread first.
As for uploading your scenario, this site doesn't have a map archive but you can always open a new thread and ask for testers (e.g. "New H3 map - play testers needed!"). You can upload your map to any of the free hosting sites (such as megaupload), then link the file here using these: [url][ /url]
Celestial Heavens also has a map testing service, while one of the best sites to submit your work is maps4heroes.
