I knew you'd be one of those Melee elitists, RSF. I'm actually glad the little unintended tweaks have been taken out so that the gap between competitive and casual players is no longer a chasm.
To answer the topic: look up The Conduit and see if it appeals to you. It doesn't come out until June, though, so you would have to wait a bit.

Brawl is all about camping spamming the same moves repeatedly unless you are metaknight.
I'm unhappy that edgeguarding is now pretty much impossible. The combos are completely gone as well. Plus characters are far too slow to tech chase anyone.
And finally tripping is just  .
Please don't call me an elitist. I'm just voicing my opinion. I hardly even play Melee anymore. After Brawl being a huge disappointment really Smash has lost my interest, but I can still play Melee every once in a while.

What do you mean by escape?
Are you talking about the retardedly easy infinite combos that many characters have? Such as Falco's shine or Dedede's unescapable infinite chain grab?

Elitist was a bit harsh, I'll admit. Didn't really want to search my brain for a better word at the time, but I certainly didn't mean to come off as putting you down.
Hell, I can even agree that Melee is better in a number of ways. I'm just sick of people saying Brawl is awful and not even worth trying.

If you play Smash w/ 4 players and items, then you should play Brawl.
If you don't play with items (such as myself), then Melee is much better, even if you don't know any of the advanced techniques from Melee. It's still a better game without items.

What about Red Steel? The controllers was not that bad  Meh i would wait for Red Steel 2
Deadly Creatures(not shooter, but it got hype).
House of the Dead: Overkill sounds like a weak title after reviews.
Meh i must get more games, or borrow Galaxy from a friend xD

resident evil 4.
I don't have a wii, but I have it on PS2. I guess the 5 is on wii too, I read it's as good as the 4 but costs 50 more euros

A lot of people hated the Red Steel.
However Red Steel is probably only like 10-20 dollars, so it's worth a shot.

Many things got nerfed in Brawl. But that's no reason to say one game is better than another. I dislike the game because they got rid of nearly every tactic that was effective in Melee.
No more l-cancelling. No more wavedashing. No more edgeguarding. No more tech chasing. No more really awesome combos.
They failed to realize that these were the strategies and techniques that would punish people who camped and spammed projectiles the whole game. Camping is really the thing that makes Smash Brothers crappy. And taking the things that counter that is really just a bad idea.

New Super Mario Bros Wii was a good title; it's old school SMB, like SMB3 on the SNES.
Even better is Super Mario Bros Galaxy - one of the best platformers ever made, easily.
I also really want to play Metroid: Other M.

Have you played Super Mario Bros Galaxy 2? I haven't tried it but I've heard it was excellent and i loved the first one.
But from what I've heard about Metroid: Other M is that it was bad. Or rather the representation of samus was bad.
I can say with great certainty though that Donkey Kong Country Returns is good. It plays like the old ones.

Donkey Kong Country Returns is good. It's a classic platformer. It's hard, but it's doable with practice and it's good fun.
