I need a little help with the HoMM2 map editor?
I just got the game and I cant work out how to use the map editor =/
I played it years ago and I thought I could edit pre existing maps, but now I just cant work out how to do it.
Also, how do you generate a random map cos I heard you can but Im not sure how...

Okay well I looked there and there wasnt anything I didnt know.
It has this "Load saved map" option, but theres only the maps that I made myself in there. It doesnt say how to open one already there, so can you even do that?
Also, no generate random map thing anywhere. I could have sworn you could do these things.

If I remember correctly the map editor is pretty simple, I worked it out fairly easily when I was but a wee folk. 
The best advice I can give you is to just mess around with the buttons on the top until you figure out what they do. Doubleclicking an object will usually give you options to modify it I think. Scenario objectives and events can be set from the Map Information button (or some such) which might be under one of the main menus.
If I recall correctly events can be placed on the map as well, probably from most generic object menus.

Yeah I know.. Editing objects and stuff.. But Ive checked every button and I cant find either of the two things Im looking for, so lame.
I suck at making new maps! so yeahh Id rather just edit.. but I cant even do that.

You can edit preexisting maps, just choose "open map" in the editor, find the map file you want, and bang, there you go.

Open map?
Load map lets me open ones Ive made.
So theres a different option?

Sorry for the wording, it's probably just Load Map, I haven't played HoMM II in a while.
