Obama is worse than Bush...

Is it just me, or is Obama going to be more of a fail than even Bush himself?

This is not the first article I read about this. It seems that they cute and cuddly mask of 'change' went to the drawer now that the seat is secured and they start changing things the other way around. Lately I heared one of Obama's speeches:
The youth is not marked by the sins of the past (or smth like that) and we must make responsible decissions now!
From where I come giving away money for free isn't considered that way Heared of the case where of $70mln federal aid to a bank/firm $60mln went for managment staff premies?

this is a complete farse imo. Both economical and ideological

LOOK **** ** (aka dangit)

I am a man  of millions of perspectives, on billions of things. I see about NOTHING in shades of black or white. To view things as 1 or 100 only, is incredibly limited thinking.

Why limit yourselves to the types of thoughts OTHER people produce, when by god as my witness they claim black or white, all or nothing thinking??

Why should I ****ing bother with you...... you..... *bites nothing - clenches teeth*

WyTF should I fricking waste my time on you PEOPLE!!!! some of you see sense and ignore it. some of you cant make sense of darth vader storing purified water.

Then I see some garbage about someone losing thier mind pointing out all the potentialy negative qualities of a president. You can defend and prosocute almost ANYONE, you can take positive and negitive from ANYTHING

Take things for what they are and you can distinguish the difference between bunk opinionated BS and some worthy intelligent pieces of logic that exist wether or not someone comes to the conclusion enough and has the balls enough to explain it to sometimes major IDIOTS

****!!!!

Lastly, you who claim to be in the major american political parties, pointing at eachother saying "your wrong" Ultimately, you make yoursleves out to be, well, how to say it nicely, not the most intelligent parts of your entire species

It's too soon to know who is worse, but it's hard to get worse than Bush.

However I learned my lesson about saying it can't get any worse. At the end of Clinton's term when Gore and Bush ran against each other I thought it was a win win election since Gore and Bush either one would certainly be better than Clinton. But look what we got, probably one of the worst presidents ever.

So I'll resist the urge to say it can't get worse than Bush. The bad things about Bush are easily seen (starting a war is not exactly subtle). Much of what Obama will sign will have less obvious results. He and the Congress are basically following a policy that failed so miserably in the past that even the Democrats backed away from it. It's a policy that gets votes, but does a lot more harm than good.

Well lets see.  Obama inherited a war nobody wants, a huge economic mess, and all with America having possibly the worst 'rating' from other countries ever.  Now unless he is expected to walk on water, heal the sick, and feed a multitude with 2 fishes..it might be a wee bit early to judge his term in office.  Though he may turn out to be the Antichrist, lets wait till at least 3.5 years into the term to decree him such .

He is inexperienced, heck that was one of his selling points, so it is gonna take some time to learn the job.  I am not saying things will get better..but at least give the guy time to learn.  Then you can burn him in effigy (spelling?) .

Kind of similar to President Hoover except he was put in a worst spot.
People criticise him.

I think if you put Hoover in place of President Rosevelt & Vice Versa, Things might of went a little different.
They both had backgrounds where it would of been fitting

The situation he inherited is irrelevant. The policies are terrible regardless of the situation. It didn't work in the past and only made things worse. And there is absolutely no reason to think they will work in the future.

As for the specifics of this thread, I'm not sure what to think of it. But I'm sure when he got in office he got a big dose of reality about things all the sit-at-home wannabe politicians have no clue about.

The first part I respectfully disagree with, but the last part I agree with.

Like any job in the world there is a learning curve.  It takes time to adjust.  Add to this the fact that he inherited possibly the biggest economic downturn America has faced ever, many wars, and has had how long to get things done?  While learning possibly one of the hardest jobs?  Also, it is not like he has unlimited power.  Changing things, if he is going to at all, will take a lot of time.  Again, like I said..he could end up making ol W look like the smartest president ever, but perhaps we should take a bit longer to pass judgement.

Edit: Tried to make this post clearer but probably just made it more confusing

The very first thing I said was that it's too soon to decide if he's worse than Bush.

I'm just saying his (and the Democratic Congress which has FAR more power than the pres) policy is terrible. When you have a one party government like now, the Pres is largely irrelevant. Note that I said "largely", not entirely.

Worst depression America has ever faced???? You gotta be kidding, right? It's not even close to the worst. I've lived through at least one cycle that was much worse. And depending on how you measure it, maybe 1-2 more cycles that were worse. That's all it is, an economic cycle. TIME will heal the economy, not government policy. Governments are far better at breaking things than they are at fixing them.

The economy is very strong now. It's not as strong as it was, but it's still strong. People need to stop listening to the damn media.

Well I was meaning more the ammount of loss more, but yes you have a point.  There has been worse times in America.

Edit: I agree 100% with you about the government staying out of it.  These Bailouts are a farce, a joke, and an insult.

That is certainly not something that would be expected.. But comparing Obama to be worse than Bush in the starting post is just idiotic, almost prevented me from replying. This is ONE issue. Issue of wiretapping (illegally imho) normal citizens. However for example the dreaded Guantanamo bay is getting the boot, no longer is the US on same line with China and the like. Also in one of his first moves after taking office he signed an order banning harsh interrogation techniques aka the use of torture. Etc.

Yes, people forget that every new president "inherits" problems.  And they would do well to remember that most of those problems are at least in part due to (if not mostly due to) the actions of Congress during the last several years, of which Obama was a member.  So, I don't have much sympathy for the "he inherited blah" excuse.

I'm willing to give a guy a chance before being overly, but he was HIRED to deal with existing problems.  It's not like he didn't know about these problems when he was elected.  So please, enough with the inheritance nonsense.  And so far, I haven't really been impressed with his decisions (though, not surprised TBH).

Mostly domestic policy so far, but what little foreign relations the Obama administration has had so far have been a joke.  When you have a Secretary of State that laughs publically over a pirate-based hostage situation, that pretty much says it all.

I do not expect him to be a superhero. I expect him to keep his goddamn promises, or at least if he CAN'T keep them, not go in the OPPOSITE direction (i.e exactly against the Candidate Obama as we knew him).

No I'm not angry at all since it doesn't even influence me, but I wanted to make it clear.
