HoMM3 Skills were not kept :(

Hi,

I was playing the shadow of death campaign, i finished all four scenarios for crag hack, yog, gelu and gem. Then i finished sandros scenario.

Now i started, the sixth campaign. The first mission was with yog. I thought that his skills from the last campaign were kept. But i realised, his skills were totally random. What did I do wrong?

Nothing wrong. The campaign engine allows to keep stats/artefacts/skills only between scenarios of the same campaign. A different campaign will start from scratch.

But, it says: "Gem is limited to level 25, but she will carry her experience, spells and skills to the next campaign"

Yeah, the creators actually lied or couldn't find a way to transfer heroes like that and forgot to correct themselves.  I was disgruntled too.

Era 1.5 engine allows to write custom data to save files, so i guess it is possible to store these skills and exact experience in save game, and then give them to your heroes
