You still have a great RP sitting in the archives, why not revive it, seemed to have the makings of a good RP, maybe try for another objective. Perhaps work in the Lords into the other RP(i forgot the name  )

Yeah, but I had a huge backstory and lore to it, which would take about 10000 years to explain. So instead I'm just going to create a completely original one that is more like a fairy tale than a fullblown Tolkien-ish epic.

well you can definitely be a character that is only there occasionally if that is what you mean. and if you just simply can't post, then I can arrange your death (in the rp of course...). Like I can have a cameo of Fortressfano or something.

Alrighty then, I'll be the first to post my char.
Name: Vulkan
Race: Human
Age: 32
Occupation: Blacksmith
Appearance and clothing: Vulcan is tall(215cm) and musculous man, with broad shoulders and wise violet eyes. Being bald since the age of 15, Vulkan has grown dense beard and moustache to compensate his baldness. He usually wears knee high sabatons, leather pants, a sleeveless, iron reinforced leather vest, and steel bracers. When forging he also wears a brown apron. When it isn't used, his blacksmith's hammer is always strapped to his belt.
Special marks: Vulkan has a tatoo of a eagle on his right shoulder.
Weapons: a vicious two edged battle axe, which he forged himself.
Background: Vulkan(Real name Taruss) was born into a smith's family, and since his pre teen years he has shown excepcional talent at smithing. After his father died when Vulkan was twelwe, he has worked day and night to earn money and feed his ill mother and child sisters. Few of his most famous include armor for the king and shield and sword for one of his knights, whom now has turned against his lord.
Personality: Despite his barbaric appearance, Vulkan is a calm man, who thinks before acting and has a strong sense of honor. He takes much pride in his work, and despises all who earn wealth by dirty means.

Excellent! But you should also state where your starting region is, though I presume that it would be either Arnier Country or Capital City.

So...hmmm...yeah, I think I can join this one. Seem intresting, but I want to know about races.

Born Thane Rockhand his parents had very high expectations of him. That is why they named him 'Thane'. While just as sturdy and strong as most Dwarves, his parents were somewhat rich and made sure he had a very good education as well. Although slightly taller then the 'average' Dwarf if there was such a thing as 'average' Thane fit it to a T.
He was not extraordinarily strong, or smart, or gifted. While his family was a bit better off financially then most, neither did he ever attain the status his parents had hoped. Before he could make anything of himself, they had passed away in a unfortunate rockslide. His uncle had taken care of the estate, and did not abuse his position, so when Thane came of age he inherited two things.
His family's estate, which while not vast was 'comfortable', and a decent workshop. His father had been a smith. Of course Thane was 'ok' with craftmanship, but that meant he was one of the less skilled Dwarven smiths. That is where Snoz came in. Snoz was an old family friend who had been an apprentice in the shop for years. Snoz pretty much took over running the place with Thane's blessing.
One of the first things made by Snoz in gratitude was a BattleAxe. Which Thane now carries with him wherever he goes. Thane decided to set out and find himself somebody who could teach him how to actually use the Axe. Leaving Snoz in charge of the estate, he sets off to parts unknown.

Height - 5'0
Weight - Unknown
Class - 'Jack of all trades'
Special - He never really excells at anything, but can learn just about anything. In another time/place he might have been a bard.
Edit : I made his background such that the mundane things like equipment, food, spending money, etc would not be much of a hassle. If needed I can change the background.
