Much was fake but not all. I also expected Cataclysm to happen but with no Elemental Plane and with focus on the Naga and the sea instead. Now the big bad scary guy is Deathwing and lets say that there is a large plothole with the cause of the Cataclysm >.>

* Azeroth wasnt destroyed.
* Thrall didnt become the Next Guardian.
* No mention of the Elemental Plane in the "leak".
* There are no risen or sunken islands.
* No towns on the backs of Turtles etc.
* Garrosh didnt become the new warchief.
* Azshara has very little focus in the storyline.
* Durotar, the Barrens, Orgrimmar and Dustwhallow wasnt submerged.

etc.

At the maxlevel, level 85 in the next expansion, you can do Heroic Deadmines and Shadowfang Keep

Then they will probably add Heroic Zul'farrak etc over the course of patches.

No additional details have been given.

@Azagal and Kip
I was of course joking. Even if I wanted to trade money for lifelessness, Warhammer Online would be my choice over WoW any day.

Still, appreciate your enthusiasm

But they will probably get me anyways

Who wouldn't love to play a stupid little annoying goblin that somehow ends up wickedsick ?

And I think lvl'ing will finally be some what more fun ... because those first 60lvls always sucked...

True

I was wondering will they change Northrend as well because it is a part of azeroth...

Outland should be the only non-changed place BUT!

They should make so there will be some more refugees because of the changes in azeroth. imo

So I made a bit Cataclysm backstory.

The War in the North contiunes
As the Argent Crusade, led by the legendary Paladin Tirion Fodring, trains elite Champions and Crusaders to venture into the Icecrown Citadel - an ancient evil rises in the south and a new order.

Long ago, the Order of Tirisfal and the Guardians where created to defend Azeroth from demonic invaders. The Guardians where powerful Archmagi that had been infused with a large overload of arcane powers from multiple sources.
One of the Guardians where Aegwynn. She sensed demonic activity in the Storm Peaks of Northrend. There, Demons were fighting the Blue Dragonflight while a powerful demonlord was getting summoned. The demonlord turned out to be Sargeras himself. The Dark Titan and the mastermind behind the Burning Legion and their Burning Crusade.

Aegwynn defeated Sargeras but it turned out that it was just an Avatar. Aegwynn locked the body of the Avatar inside an ancient temple, now known as the Tomb of Sargeras.
But a part of the Avatar had entered the body of the pregnant Aegwynn and had taken control of her son Medivh.
When Medivh was born, he entered a coma for several years. As an adult, he was under the direct influence of Sargeras himself. Medivh worked together with the Orc warlock Gul'dan of Draenor.
Medivh and Gul'dan suceeded in opening a rift between the two worlds of Azeroth and Draenor, and the corrupted Orcs invasion of Azeroth could begin.

The Orcs devastated the Kingdom of Stormwind but Medivhs apprentice Khadgar managed to kill the evil Medivh in his dark tower of Karazhan. The half orc/half-draenei Garona partipicated in the fight against Medivh. Medivh cursed her so that she would betray all her allies. Garona came under the influence of Gul'dans Shadow Council. They used her to assassinate the king of the stormwind humans, King Llane. Medivh had a relationship with Garona before his death which caused Garona to become pregnant with him. In the forests of Duskwood, she gave birth to her child Med'an. How was orc, draenei AND human...

Med'an was prophesied to become the savior of Azeroth and carry on the bloodline of the Guardians. During the Third War (Warcraft 3), Aegwynn had used her last powers to ressurect Medivh. After the Third War, Medivh returned to the grave.
Either way, Med'an was taken to Theramore where Jaina and Aegwynn hanged out. In the old Qiraji city of Ahn'qiraj, the apocalyptic cult called the Twilight's Hammer had gathered under their leader Cho'gall - who was thought to be dead. Suprise! Well, not really.
Nobody stays dead these days.
Either way, they want to ressurect the dead Old God C'thun. Or release his spirit atleast. They do that and Cho'gall becomes the Avatar of C'thun in a way. Basically, Cho'gall now looks like some mix between Cthulu and some kind of Bird.

The new Twilight's Hammer gets known for the leaders of the world. Apparently, Cho'gall knows of Med'an and kidnaps him. But Med'an is rescued back and it's decided that the Order of Tirisfal should be recreated to combat the Old Gods instead.
Also Cho'gall talks about a Cataclysm to release his masters. Med'an is destinied to become the next Guardian and will not only be infused by the Arcane - but also by the Light, the Elemental Spirits, the Forces of Nature etc.
Yes, he will be imba and OP.
And thats how far we have come in the comic at the moment.

Deathwing Returns
Neltharion the Earth-Warder watched over the deep parts of Azeroth with his negro dragonflight. Suprise! He was to deep to long and then he became mad. And the Old Gods did it! You didnt expect that, didnt you!!!!??
Now he is a servant of the Old Gods and has hid in the Elemental Plane. The Elemental Plane is a prison for the bad elements that follow the Old Gods. Deathwing restored his powers over the last 10,000 years and managed to shatter the barrier separating the Elemental Plane from Azeroth. Now Azeroth can be the primodial world of chaos it once was - yay!
Well, this resulted in the Cataclysm so the Horde and the Alliance arent so happy about this.
As a result, we will fight the Elemental Lietuanents. Neptulon the Tidehunter, Al'akir and Ragnaros. Therazane is a big and nice lady hanging out in the Temple of Earth.

Empress Azshara
The Naga were created by the Old Gods and are their servants. Azsharas role is unknown and maybe her people will even rebell against their masters.

New New Horde
The new Horde might be under Garrosh Hellscream. We dont know. Either way, the Hordes on the offensive. Half Ashenvale has been cut down and the Horde settlements, including their capital, has been reinforced with a dark iron type called Saronite. And Saronite is Old God blood.

Goblins
Once Goblins were the slaves of Jungle trolls and very primitive. Then BAM! they discovered the Kaja'mite Ore. Speculated blood of an Old God - SUPRISE!!! They got smart because of that and destructive. Then they breeded like toads and outnumbered the Trolls who are their slaves now. Following the Cataclysm, the volcano Kajaro on the Goblins island erupted. So the Goblins were forced to flee and ended up on the Lost Isles. How a very orginal name!
Suddenly, they fought the Alliance and for no reason they found Thrall out there and rescued him and BAM! - now they are officialy with the Horde.

Worgen
To protect themself from the Scourge, the Gilneans built a massive wall - isolating themself from the rest of the world for several years. Hello North Korea?
Anyway. The Archmage Arugal summoned the Worgen to fight the Scourge. But the Worgen turned against him. The Worgen spread a curse that the wall could not protect Gilneas from. Isolated and with nowhere to escape, the Gilneanen people turned into the Negrow (worgen backwards). The Horde ordered Sylvanas and her Forsaken to attack the neutral Gilneas, because the Horde wanted to control Lordaerons southern coast etc.
Previously, Gilneas reefs had protected them from naval assault. But the Cataclysm had removed the reefs and the Forsaken invaded Gilneas. During the quests, the Cataclysm happens and the Forsaken invade. In the end, the Gilneans seek aid in the Alliance. The Worgen backstory makes a lot more sense then the Goblin one. So far.

Conclusion
Horde is bad boys now. Deathwing caused the Cataclysm because he broke the barrier between Azeroth and the Elemental Plane. Old Gods are behind all this. Old Gods have some fanboys called the Twilight's Hammer. Forsaken are the Hordes puppies now. Goblins joined because the Alliance went racist against them and they found Thrall. Or they just want money. Worgen joined because the Forsaken attacked them. Fin.

WoW is already racist. All bad guys are black.

Black Dragonflight, Blackrock Orcs, Dark Iron Dwarves, Blackrock Mountain (change a certain letter and it becomes...), Blackrock Deepths, Blackwing Lair, Blackwing Descent.

Worgen backwards -> Negrow -> Most Worgen in-game are enemies.

Also there isn't any Black human in WoW. Except some bandits in Tanaris Desert that steal water... and maybe some Pirates.

Oh, and the Grimtotem Clan is the only evil Tauren clan. Guess what? All Grimtotem Tauren have black fur.
There are probably a lot more examples.

Oh well the WoW universe is lightyears away from the awesomeness that Warhammer represents so it's cool that Baklavoth chose to rise to power there than in WoW. Take good care of him with a name like that he must be destined for greatness... voth... so good xD.

I found a review site where one of the reviewers have been playing with the worgen and goblins, and actully tell us a little about their Race abilities

http://pc.ign.com/articles/101/1017286p1.html

Worgen:
Quote:
Worgen have the Two Forms ability that lets them change between their human and werewolf forms instantly. They also have the Dark Flight ability which allows them to improve their forward speed by seventy percent for ten seconds; the ability has a cooldown of three minutes once triggered. Apart from these, Worgen have a racial trait known as Aberration, which reduces the duration of curses and diseases by fifteen percent, as well as the Viciousness trait that increases their damage regardless of class by one percent. The race also innately has the Flayer talent, which increases their skinning ability up fifteen percent and allows them to skin a creature faster than other races. There weren't many other advantages to being a Worgen, but that could change by the launch of Cataclysm.

Goblin
Quote:
I took that opportunity to check out the abilities and traits of the Goblins, which are rather significant. For one thing, every goblin, regardless of class, have access to a rocket belt that allow them to propel themselves in a jump forward; this ability has a two minute cooldown once triggered. This same rocket belt can also be used to fire a rocket at an enemy, causing forty-four points of damage with the same cooldown duration as the rocket jump. The race also has a number of traits, like the Best Deals Anywhere trait, which gives them a gold discount in any stores, an automatic +15 to their alchemy skill, and something called Time is Money, allowing for a one percent increase to your attack or casting speed. Arguably the most useful trait is the Pack Hobgoblin ability, which instantly summons a personal servant to your side to take your items to the bank or deliver items to you from the bank anywhere you happen to be. This ability has a thirty minute cooldown, but will definitely be useful during raids.

All the information I posted is official and canon.

Unlike the claims that Azeroth would be completly destroyed and that the Orcs wouldnt get a capital city etc -.-
Those are false.

The Cho'gall thing is stuff that kind of sets up the Cataclysm. Its some backstory and it will probably be a sub-plot in the expansion. I wouldnt be suprised if AQ returns in a patch.
The forever ongoing WoW comic is setting up the events before the actual Cataclysm.
