Removing the saves
Hello. I came across a weird problem. After you finish a campaign in Heroes IV, a green check mark appears on it.

The thing is I wanna make it disappear. I unistalled the game (twice), and I told it to delete all saves, and the mark is still there. As you can see, I'm really wanting to make it disappear.
What can I do? Oh, and sorry for the silly problem.

I already reinstalled the game twice and the marks are still there.
Actually, I don't want to remove the marks to get the pictures. It's just that I want to start Heroes IV again and it's annoying to see the campaigns marked from the start.
I know it's a silly reason, but I'm a freak that pays a lot of importance to these unimportant details (I even made a little folder called Temporary Files on my desktop to put there little documents, notepads and other little junk icons that eat other desktops ). Perhaps I should just get a life.

Check to see if the registry entries are still there after uninstalling. Enter "regedit" without the quotes, in the "run" dialog. Delete the sub-keys below.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\New World Computing\Heroes of Might and Magic IV
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\New World Computing\Heroes of Might and Magic(r) IV Campaign Editor
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\New World Computing\Heroes of Might and Magic IV
I've only had Heroes IV for a short time, so I haven't noticed that problem. After uninstalling, does it leave the games directory behind?. If so, delete it.
Did you restart windows after installing the game?.
How long did it take to complete all those campaigns?.

If uninstalling doesn't do, it's usually in the registry. Good call!
And to the OP, you gotta be kidding me if you can't tolerate a check mark.

I just unistalled the game again, deleted the empty directory, made one with the same name and installed the game there. Now it works.
Mods, feel free to delete this silly thread.

It's not silly, it would have bothered me too. I'm glad you cleared up the problem.
