finished my duels with veco
luck was on my side in all 3 games
so
1st
Alaron(sylvan) vs Zehir(academy)
had academy with empathy and really good att def stats,sylvan couldn't do enough dmg fast,and my dark and summon worked pretty fine,and after killing druids his destructive become harmless so had an easy road to victory

again i got academy,this time sorcery,light,dark and defence and again veco couldn't do enough dmg fast,this time dwarf was really tough to kill so the game dragged for pretty long

Dwarf vs. dwarf mine Cloack of death proved to be really mighty since veco was out of morale and luck whole time,which i didn't lack,also his destructive built didn't do very well

Yeah good academy games In the second against dwarves though I consider the dragon teleportation a mistake, veco blocked his thanes from getting some good clutter damage for two actions. Larry turtled nicely.
As for the third.. Veco, explain yourself! Destructive against dwarves and charging with thanes instead of firebolt?!

Terrain sometimes really helps aca too...Chaos champ Larry being in finals will be interesting ...guess this was the better tourny to advance than the other, ha?

Done 2 games with Elvin, and finally I won over him!!!!*starts dacing*
Game 1: Barbarian(Telsek, S-G) vs Dungeon(Lethos, Elvin)
Being barb and against lethos, I thought I'd loose, cause he'd go to both dark&destructive. However, after seeing my arties I saw that actually I had chances. I went to the classical empathy+battle elation+retribution, with advanced shatter dark. On the artis, I had dwarf armor(inmunity to implo)+sylvanna clothe+elven's bow.
He got a great ATB start(his hero before my centaurs), but I managed to kill overpass his stupid powerfull deep freeze(27 of spell power ) and charge forward, killing all the dragons with my ciclops(after my executioners ate dragons&lizards damage). his decay made a lot of damage(it affected 5 stacks¬¬), but my attack+good morale was just too much for him
Game 2: Fortress(Karly, S-G) vs Dungeon(Telsekż?, Elvin)
This one was a slaughter as I expected. With 80k of gold for troops, I didn't expected to last too much. I went to a light+empathy build, but he was really lucky, having the death cloth(-2 to morale&luck), so he messed my build. morale only triggered once for me, you can imagine how it was the combatslaughter

Never underestimate the power of empathy in stronghold's hands. Especially if it is Kraugh. Sure, he might have to throw a rally cry if arties, banshee howl, etc come up..but sometimes they can have really really high morale. Which triggers a heroes move fast. With Powerful blow added, Kraugh can be devestating. High level Kraugh with Empathy > High Level Haggash.

Don't worry Mytical if you didn't get the inside joke, it's just one of those dorky details that differs Temple duelmap veterans from others - you can wake us up at 3am and we can still recite the whole skillwheel with photographic detail

Behold! The current round is finally over and finals are at hand!
After those three duels we had an academy vs necro where we both got destructive, however I had 19 power/27 knowledge with slippers and storm giant 14 spellpower. He gave up early, was rather hopeless.
The final game was my haven vs his academy where he skipped Razzak's defense to get empathy. His only school was light but he used consume artifact before resurrection negating his mini artie protection early. On the other hand I had maxed luck/morale, high attack and windstrider boots - after the first charge, mass deflect missile followed by haste proved overwhelming. Worth noting that his golems took down my archangels effortlessly

Three games played so far, score is 2-1 in favour of Larry.
First one was dwarves vs haven. Despite his outrageous stats my outrageous luck rose to the occasion and saved the day Alright it was mostly due to soldier's luck but scaring the champions - an action that could easily fail - gave me an edge since they had no backup. Unfortunately the atb was unfavourable with me always playing just before Larry so I could not counter his slow but thankfully I had many buffs he could not overwrite. Game disconnected but we agreed that there was little chance I could lose it. Btw besides haste I also had cleansing.
Second one was my haven against orcs. Was never offered master of curses probably because I got dark a bit late in the levelling but I doubt it would have mattered here. Too high stats for me to keep up the pace. I considered going light but wasn't thrilled with the available spells - bless, cleansing and deflect.
Third game was *dun dun dun!* haven against dungeon. My setup was pretty decent, even had fire resistance, dragon talon sword and bearhilde wraps for protection. Alas he had powerful meteors that erased me from the face of the battlefield.

yeah riiiight  I've seen it easily not fail...but Larry missed great chance for Klaus-boosted champions to double skewer with the ring of slow

In the aftermath of my bloody battles I emerge victorious And lucky, quite lucky.
Fourth game was a classic good versus evil battle, necropolis against sylvan. Thing is I had cloak of death's shadow, cursed ring and my puppets were never resisted. Arcanes were badly weakened by evasion plus fog veil. With zero luck and the druids down early it was hopeless.
But the worse had yet to come. Next game was his Eruina against Haggash with windstrider, celerity, horseshoe and dwarven cuirass for implosion immunity. While he had defense it was not enough against maxed luck/morale, tactics, retribution and barbarian luck. Dark could have helped but he couldn't get it.

The next tournament will be CHAOS! Back to week 6 armies and artifact abundance Winner gets the chaos badge, the one to last hold it was Larry and he plans to get it again
