Actually Wesley,
you can ask RMS what we talked about. If the riddle was hard and made a good long thread, we'd be hoping for a QP. Can you see that already? I don't.

Women are better at riddles...
may I see?
NXST XS O CVTOCET AS CEOUTQK. QKXZU, X STTN OBOCVK.
OK, so we have O and X as single letters. WHat single letters pass in a sentence? a, i, u, y. We can exclude U and Y because they are slang. So, a and I.
So, either O is a and X is I, or O is I and X is a.
Ok, if f=s, we have
F**@. How many words in English have 4 letters, begin with F and have a double letter? I can come up with fool, food, feel, feed, foot. The word is among these 5. So, T=O/E, agreed? And N is L, D, T.
The combinations.
I fool- NO
I food- NO
I feel- YES
I feed- YES
I foot- NO.
a fool- yes
a food- NO
a feel- don't think so.
a feed- NO
a foot- YES
so, food is out. and N is either L or T.
I can go on but no time.

I arrive at the following possible solution:
"life if a theatre o of tragedy. dying, I feel apathy."
With the substitutions:
C=t
V=h
T and Y=e
B=p
K=y
E=r
U=g
N=l
Q=d
Z=n
With a few grammatical corrections that makes:
"Life is a theatre of tragedy. Dying, I feel apathy."
Added:
A few years ago I constructed a riddle of my own. I'm posting it her and have removed some of the clues to make it harder.
Task: Spell out what the equation says.
Equation:
abcde + abd + fgh = ijhdk
Matrix:
IXSF
EWVH
OTNR
Clue: The matrix and the equation is connected.

"A brilliant light can either illuminate or blind. How will you know which until you open your eyes?"

Good job, Djive
I corrected my post later but I guess you didn't see that.
How did you do it?
P.S. Your riddle is a bit erm... I don't get the logic it has.

Quote: How did you do it?
P.S. Your riddle is a bit erm... I don't get the logic it has.
I made a guess at the letter combiantion "TH" and then made some assumptions on the vowels A, E and O.
The logic of the puzzle is not apparent that is part of the problem. Since I removed some of the clues from my original problem, I'll let list members ask questions on the puzzle.
I'll answer one-two questions each day, and a maximum of ten questions total. The questions must be of the Yes/No type, and can be either on the puzzle as such, on the matrix part, or on the equation part.

abcde + abd + fgh = ijhdk
Djive,
Do you think that on solving
a*N^4 + b*N^3 + c*N^2 + d*N^1 + e*N^0 +
a*N^2 + b*N^1 + d*N^0 +
f*N^2 + g*N^1 + h*N^0 =
i*N^4 + j*N^3 + h*N^2 + d*N^1 + k*N^0
I'm on correct way? N is some big number (probably 10 or 11??) hehe
I didn't do any mathematics exercise since many years,

No, I don't think you're on the right track. (That's a clue for free. I haven't tried but I believe you'll get multiple solutions.)
I don't want to give clues myself. That doesn't seem to stimulate the discussion on the thread. Instead I'm letting you ask for information you need.
Edited to add:
Since everyone seems stumped, I'll give you a second clue.
Clue #2: The base for the equation is 12. (That is the 'N' in Malkia's expanded version of the equation is 12.)
Edited to add:
Now, what is this??? Are you so utterly stumped that you can't even discuss what you need to know about the puzzle to solve it???
Clue #3. Only what is shown in the matrix may appear in the equation.
I'm considering to allow you to ask 1-3 direct questions to make it a bit simpler. However, I won't answer any questions that makes the puzzle too simple.

I had a STRONG idea to give you a result of such code (Perl)
//
$test=crypt("Thats a phrase", "Thats a joke");
print $test;
//
(not sure if code is correct - I havent see perl for about two years...)
But I killed this idea in myself....Some people could go mad guessing the answer...

You can go ahead for me....
It seems that my riddle has stumped HC members to such a degree that they're not even asking for clues...
Ah well... It was the same thing the last time I asked questions in the Donation Quiz. Well. If HC members don't want to guess or show interest, then I'm not going to give away the answer.
Perhaps I should change my signature or User Defined Status to "Mistress of Enigmas". Problem is that I like the ones I already have.

Your puzzle seems a bit too hard to solve.
One clue that can be derived is that four letter is repeated at the end of two words, and one of them is at the beginning of a question.
Unfortunately, it seems you have not used any of the words which usually begins a question (what, whom, when) in the beginning of the question.
Assuming this is a substitution problem, it's fairly short and the absence of double letters makes it difficult to get forward.
Myself, I would like to know (at least one of the following, preferably both) before putting more time on trying to crack it the 'hard' way.
Does 'O' represent a vowel?
Does 'R' represent a vowel?
Also beware that any misspelling whatsoever in this puzzle makes it next to impossible to solve it.

I agree with you, Djive
however, in the second case, some of the w question words can be accepted as in:
what can he? What makes it? Things like that.
However, I think he must give us more clues.
