bug or an artifact in heroes 3
so i was fighting the computer when it used armageddon like 3 times and hes troops where unaffected is there an artifact for this or it is a bug?
and off : ur site is AWSOME it improved my gaming alot , i mean i never knew some things about units,parts of the game,etc , very helpfull

Some creatures like black dragons, efreet, fhoenixes have natural immunity to fire and are not affected by armageddon (a fire spell).
Other, like dwarfs for example, have magic resistance, which means they can resist the damage from the spell.
Unicorns have an aura of magic resistance which affects all adjacent units, giving them 20% chance to resist any hostile spell.
Finally, there is the magic resistance skill, which give 15 % chance to resist any hostile spell.
Also, the spell antimagic prevents all spells from affecting the protected unit.
The spell Protection from fire reduces the damage taken from fire spells by 50 %.
Also, there are artefacts improving your magic resistance. They work even if you do not have the skill.

it was like not a bit of damage and all units it had lvl 1 units 2 , its was like they where not efected att all and after he used it 3 times

Sounds to me like the computer found Armageddons blade, I once found it in one of those tomb places where you get -3 morale if you visit after someone else have been there (or you get it anyway?), anyway if it can spawn a place like that and if you play enough maps it's not restricted on, then sooner or later the computer will get this item.
Recanters, Red Orb (beats Black Orb), fire immune troops, or faster troops, so you can take your enemy out before he gets to use armageddon is a possible solution.

There's also the armegeddons blade (if you have the expansion with the same name) that will give it's user the spell armegeddon as well as all his/her units immunity to the spells.
It might be helpful if we knew things as what hero the enemy had and what units, and if you won you should know what artifacts the enemy had.
I also believe there's several artifacts as well as some special locations that prevents some spellcasting, but then you shouldn't be able to use it at all.

You found Armageddon's Blade in the Warrior's Tomb? That's strange. I didn't think such an artifact could be there.

Neither did I, my best find that place ever (though I do also often find parts of the cloak of the undead king (or what it's called, the lich rising artifact), which I also appreciate a lot).

5% chance of finding a relic there. So you could find tome of earth or angel wings too...

I am pretty sure you cannot find Armageddon's Blade in a Warrior's tomb.
And the Power of the Dragon Father combination artefact is nearly inpossible to assemble in a normal game. I have never done it and have seen other do it only twice.

Well unless someone have installed a different patch/mod on my computer without me knowing, and those I play with have done the same, then maybe, but not probable. I'm pretty certain I used SoD vanilla when I found it, though it's a long time ago, so I may remember wrong, still it's a relic, and if there's a 5% chance to find relics and it's not made different from others and it's not restricted I don't see why not.

Im not acussing you I have heroes 3 complete too... and I used to play with a shadow of death crack to protect my original cd... and this kind of things happen to my too...

Not that itīs 100% related to the thread, but I found Armaggeddons Blade in a tomb first time I played the Campaign "Armaggeddons Blade".
I laughed pretty hard at that since it sorta killed the mystic of the game.
