I like the music, it actually suits pretty well.
However the sound of the spells seems a bit misplaced as the effect is displayed different in Heroes 3.
May I ask, what is the purpose of this conversion? Is it to get the atmosphere of Heroes 2, and the quality game play of Heroes 3, to combine?
If so, may I suggest (if it's not too much of course), to also change the sprites of some of the creatures (like vampire lords), and change some of the spells (but please don't change lightning, looking at the flash in heroes 2 always gave me a headache )
Also nice done with the air elements and earth elements sprite change.

These changes were pretty cool, but in order to create complete heroes 2 atmosphere, you need to change the music of beginning battle as well. If you can't replace it with the original H2 music, use your imagination, for example I can recommend to use Beethoven's IX symphony. That matches with a battle sound pretty well. Listen to it here:
Beethoven IX symphony, first 5 seconds only.

I think that matches very well also, but what's most important is that you won't get tired of the tune when you've to go through 9-10 battles in a turn as an example.
I know that the sound in Heroes 3, when battles begin, to begin with is cool, is now something that pains my ears to hear, because I've heard it so often, so many times when I really didn't feel like battling.
The same goes for a game like pokemon, the battle begin music is pretty good, but when you've been forced into battle after battle where you don't want to, the music will become a pain.
So I think only time will tell if a given piece of music will work or not.

hi well i have the beginning music or sound of heroes 2 but in heroes there are 9 o 8 different star combat sounds, i replaced only 3 of the 9 ,because is too tedious the same wav, every time .
iīm glad that you have enjoyed the change, is very hard to remake the sprites one by one, but some sprites of heroes 3 definitely donīt like me, for example the warlock hero, and the sound is perfectly timed(the monsters and the spells) however every youtube video produces that lag or something bye =)

Your youtube video impressed me a lot, I think a lot more of atmosphere is in what you've made than was ever in the original heroes 3.
Also, very cool battle.

I think you've done a great work with the creatures that don't have an upgrade form in HoMM2. They look good, especially the Yellow Phoneix

Every faction except necropolis has 6 units instead of 7, what are you going to do with that (and the 7th town without 2 units...)?
Dragon is a 3-upgrade-type creature, did you manage to add the third upgrade?
And what about balance?
-Black knight is soooo powerful...
-Knight's units are weak with no growth boost...
Beside that, you did AMAZING JOB!. Can't wait to play it.

Hi, sorry for intruding I am not able to create my own topic so I shall post my question here.
My hero is being controlled by the computer player on their turn, how does this happen? I'm currently playing a random map and everytime after I finish of my turn and await my next turn I am somewhere else? It seems to be Tan who is controlling my hero as he moves on his turn. This has happened to me since I bought this game around 1999. But I just can't figure out what starts it. I actually enjoy having it happen sometimes so if possible do any of you know how to make it happen and what exactly causes it. What can the computer player do, just gather resources and attack, or can he build and pretty much do anything.

Yes, when the AI estimate that the human player is too slow, it takes control, no bug. Very known algorithm to keep game balanced.

I dunno man, it seem's to happen on and off, are you sure there isn't other ways it is triggered, okay just for that, I will test it. It just doesn't make sense since at the setup menu you can set the amount of time per turn, when it's unlimited you'd expect to be allowed to have as much time as you want, right?
Okay just tested it. Spent 2 minutes on my first turn and no computer took over.

He was just kidding. It's a bug. I've seen it more than once in SoD to boot. No idea what you should do. Try loading an earlier save, or doing something a bit different - or just wait for the AI to give it up.
