Superior Hero Models

one of the things i didnt like about homm5(which there wasnt much^_^)
was the heros model i want homm6 to have high class models. they dont have to be anything special like just some how related
for example academy heros were all rather...robust men and going through all the photos the majority of them wer either skinny or female i dont think they should share the same model i dont care if the models look average or anything as long as their differant

The models aren't different because Heroes is not a role playing game. Don't feel to much into the character, unless it's the campaign.

I fully support an individual model for each hero, they have to seem different from each other. Heroes of Might and Magic is a series with strong RPG elements (levels, items...).

But I also realize that 3d modeling of cca. 60-120 detailed and moving characters is a rather big task even for a large gaming company, and one the modding community will jump on the task anyway. The modders would voluntarily invest their time of their own choosing, but as a for-profit company Ubisoft will certainly want to put out a great game with as little effort as possible.

So I say leave it to the modders.

But either allow them to put in entirely new models in, or provide some blank templates or other means (such as attachment models) to cover stuff like dismounted knights, female genies, different types of cloaks, hats and weapons, rakasha with wands or whatever.

Ideally, when 2 people play multiplayer (LAN or Internet) they should be able to each see different models in the game, even stuff like blue grass for one and white for the other while the original game has green.

I support you. Perhaps not a model for each hero because that would take a lot of effort but perhaps a model for each race. In HOOM3 i was tired of choosing the big mean genie (Solmyr) as my hero and then my model was a human.
So I think a model for each race instead of a model for each class would be the best

i would say more: 1 model for each race in cheach class! and female/male models..

for example:
supposing...
if in Sylvan you have 3 races of heroes: elves, humans and centaurs..
suposing that you have
2 classes: rangers, and druids.
you ha 18 heroes:
          druids                  rangers
3 male elfs             4 male elfs
3 female elfs           2 female elfs
2 female centaurs       2 male centaurs
1 male centaur          1 male human
of course the human can use the same model of the male elf. and the male centaur druid could use the male centaur ranger model
there are 6 models, is a high number, but if you think that others factions, like inferno, necropolis, or heaven could have fewer models (inferno male demon/ female deamon - necro necromancer/ dead knight) isnt a very high nunber... of course it would cost a lot of work...
but...
i can dream, cant I?
