Just an idea..

How about a second shooter in Necropolis? I'm talking about the Walking Dead. It was useless, but not anymore!

So, the Walking Dead will be able to shoot, but the Zombie wont.

The shooting animation would be easy to do:



And he will throw axes at other people .

If you made a shooter from it who wants to upgrade? The Zombie is slow, very slow, noone will change a shooter for it... But if you change them, that the first one called zombie and leave it as a slow melee unit and the upgraded as a shooter (Zombie axthrower or something) will have more sense... hasn't it?

Yes. But did you know, that in WoG, if the Stack Experience is enabled, the Centaurs will get also a shooting ability, but the Captains don't.

We could make it like that, so when the dead has enough experience, he will be able to shoot. Not in the beginning, but with enough experience.

The Skeleton Archer is way too big for a low level shooter. And besides, we don't have another skeleton archer, so no upgrade..
For zombie, the animation is a lot easier to do .
The upgrade wont be able to shoot - unless we will replace his huge Mallet with something smaller, easier to throw..

@EDIT, and if we make it so that he will be able to shoot only when he has enough stack experience, he wont be too powerful. When you put more Dead's to the same stack, he will lose experience and probably the ability to shoot. So, when you have lots of these guys, they make a lot of damage, but when you have little, they are as useless as before . And, to balance things a little, we could remove a little damage, attack, defense, HP, or anything else from the Walking Dead, and probably increase some ability of the Zombies.

Well... Why not make a unit with style: Dracolich?
It will be awesome! A good 2.nd shooter for Necropolis and much more useable than the bone\ghost dragons...

Well, what if we wouldn't modify the Necropolis at all anymore. It is seriously starting to get a little bit too overpowered .. Lets move to the next town - the Rampart.

Give the dwarves axe-throw ability and the dendroids twig-throw
Then all the slow creatures are overpowered

I think dendroids are good if you have tactic. Send them forward and he\she will the enemy troops for your archers

Some bad/good news..

Some of the ideas and already finished stuff will be taken away, and not be added to the next versions..
For an example, almost every single hero specialty will be removed, only Portraits, Biographies, and Names will be changed.. (of course the overpowered and the best ones will stay ).

The New Magic Schools will be removed..

Also, NO creatures will be replaced. Some creature skins may be updated, but nothing big.

This mod has changed a LOT. For now on, this is a mod, that will include many other small mods, graphical changes and other small stuff like that.

There are many reasons for this..

Also that when you can choose what parts to install, you cannot choose for an example only the Necropolis heroes, you'll have to install all the heroes of all the towns in the same time.

And actually, here's the current list of "small mods" that you can choose which to install on the next version, 1.2:

-New Heroes for Necropolis (16), Rampart (16), Inferno (16), Fortress (8).
-New Secondary Skills (images [11]).
-New Creature Portraits (for all creatures [Large and Small]).
-3 Completely new Artifacts (replacing the BLANK ones).
-And perhaps some other small changes..

As you can see, there ain't much, but they have took many many many hours to do.

So, yes .


Btw, about the creature portraits - Every single Large creature portrait is done except for Conflux and the Neutral ones . Some previews:

The portraits are great.

I do not like the changes in plans however. The new magic schools were one of the coolest ideas for a mod ever, and you just... take it away... No more new creatures... just new pictures...
Don't get me wrong, what you're doing is still great, but I think it's really a pity that you just change it. May I ask why you did it?

New Magic Schools, if you guys really liked them so much, then we'll add them, along with the new secondary skills .

I have some ideas:
1.Replace the natural calamity and messenger with a fort and named it Order of lion(or another name) where you can recruit:Lion Warrior,Lion Phalanx,Lion Blademaster and Lion Axeman.

2.Replace emissaires with:Weaponmaster,Armourier,Seer and Libarian.Dwellings with Weapons Smith,Armory,Magic Tower and Libary.

3.Make a spell named:Arrows Rain,who can cast some shooters.It is like meteor shower,only with arrows instead of meteorits.
