Hi Magnomagnus.
I've got some Map Editor questions.
I have found the place to edit the default hero class (obj. properties -> Shared -> Hero_Class) The problem is that there are several added classes I can recognize (like Sorcerer, Seer, Reaver, etc.) but there are many I can't find (Death Knight, Gatekeeper, Paladin, etc.)
Could you help me in this question? Are these RangerA, NecromancerB etc. classes related to the above mentioned ones?

It wasn't possible to add those to the editor, so you cannot edit heroes in the editor to be any class which wasn't present in original TOE. If you really want to change the class of a hero you can only do it by modding their .xdb files.

Hi there!
I would like to ask a maybe noobish question now as well. I would like to assing a speciality to a class for which it has not been available before (for instance, Spellbreaker for Shaman)
I make a new folder for in the .h5u using WinRAR, make the Name.txt (with the class edited to Shaman) and the description as well, but whatever I do, it doesn't appear in the game.
The respective lines in the .xdb look like these what seems ok for me, or at least I can't find where the mistake is.
<SpecializationNameFileRef href="/Text/Game/Heroes/Specializations/Inferno/Impregnable3/Name.txt"/>
<SpecializationDescFileRef href="/Text/Game/Heroes/Specializations/Inferno/Impregnable3/Description.txt"/>
Even if I use the old one (in Impregnable folder) for Description, it still doesn't work.

Sometimes if windows recognizes .h5u files as winrar files a mod doesn't work.

Will this work with the heroes 5.5 AI patch? or does it at least have quicker AI and computer turns than default ToF does?

Pls help!
For some reason, I cannot edit Tieru's .xdb file in the AshanCore.
I cannot change the starting skills, the name, etc., only the speciality description.
Has anyone experienced the same problem so far?

With this limited info there is not much I can recommend. What did you already do? You are aware the hero internal names do not correspond with the names ingame? you are aware of the winrar problem I pointed out above?

What seemed strange to me about this that I did what I have done with all other heroes I modified (changing their speciality, starting spells, changing their names in the original texts folder etc.) even gave them new internal names and all worked well.
And looking at the .xdb it seems to me that the "Tieru" hero named ingame goes with the Tieru.xdb (correct me if I am wrong)
But with Tieru, the only thing I managed to modify was the spec description, even overwriting the respective name text (Beta/Ergar/Name.txt) showed no result.
But maybe it is WinRAR playing it again.

I'm not sure he is, I'm sorry I can't give you the right name right now
because it has been a long time ago. Try some of the remaining others.

As far as I can see, he is the only one among the Preserve heroes who has the Sacred Hammer speciality but in this case, he might be hiding somewhere else

doesn't work for me it seems. the H5-RPE.exe does nothing. anyway, just wanted to check if it is possible to make a hero class that can learn both war cries and regular spells??

Since i don't have the collectors edition i don't know for sure. But i guess bina2 contains the TOE exe file so there needs the RPE exe file. the .pak file needs to go into one of the two data folders (you will have to try). You will need to create the usermods folder yourself and place the h5u files in.

Hi Magnomagus!
I just downloaded and installed your RPE. It's fantastic! I love the opportunity to choose which kind of heroes I'll recruit. One thing though, I promoted my Wardens with Avenger. But when they visited the town, they can not select favorite enemy. Does the favorite enemy list only work with Ranger?

Hi magnomagus, I want to use some of your balance changes for ToTE 3.1 + EE Mod.
Therefore I looked at the addon folder of your mod and have some questions.
Can I use the war machine mod as is to balance my setup ? I looked at the files and was a bit confused that you did change
<NativeWarMachine>WAR_MACHINE_BALLISTA</NativeWarMachine>
to ballista for each town and the price for first aid tent is 250 though you stated :

All seperated modules can be used 'as is', Tent price is 250 because if the faction favors tents it becomes 750/3. This cannot be changed, therefore I set all factions to favor the tent.

Sorry, I don't understand this. Too long ago since I played. So you did set the gold price in WarMachines.xdb to 250 gold but it will cost 750 gold ingame ?

To sum it up for my poor brain :
Building, Creatures, Spells, WarMachines and Weeks addons from RPE will also be a balance improvement to TotE 3.1 + EE without RPE.
Same goes for the Creature section changes of DefaultStats.xdb.
Guess the AI addon is not needed or will probably even hurt. What is the ClassicStyle addon doing ?
Thanks for your support. I try to get the best setup for my next hotseat games with my friend.
