Hello from Yskonyn!
Hello HC!
My name is Robin, almost 30 (ouch!) years old and born and raised in the Netherlands, also known as Holland.
My first introduction to Heroes was with Heroes 3. I still remember searching for the expansion packs in stores here in Holland, but never found them. Then after a while Heroes 3 complete was released and I still didn't get it until it was discontinued... I regretted it ever since.
Then came Heroes 4, which I liked very much as well. And more recently Heroes 5, which ran very badly on my laptop so I had to bring that back to the store.
Fast forward and Ubi released a magnificent Heroes Complete box (the big white one). I couldn't resist and was finally united with not only Heroes 3 and its expansions, but also every other HoMM game! Certainly a deal I could not pass on! (At the time it made the wife a bit less happy, though).
Anyway I still had little time to play so the box was sitting on the shelf for quite a while. Now the time has come again to re-engage in Heroes gameplay!
I am currently running Heroes V campaigns in the correct order. While it's different than other games from the series it resembles another game I liked very much quite closely, namely: Etherlords.
The combat system and art style is very much the same and eventhough is much more cartoony than Heroes 3, I do like the art nonetheless.
It would be nice though if Heroes 6 would return to its roots more in terms of art direction, because I feel it fits the HoMM world better if it's portrayed in a more serious high fantasy setting instead of the cartoony one.
All in all very happy I am back and I am enjoying my time very much so far again with the game(s).
Hopefully I'll be able to see you all online one day and we can play a match or two!

Why, thank you! It's not the only one I have you know, but indeed it is one of the nicer samples of my collection.
