combining artifacts on restoration of erathia
I've created a map on heroes 3 Restoration of Erathia,and put a lot of combination artifacts on the map. Anyway when i play the map and equip the artifacts on my hero I can't combine them. I've tried right clicking on them and double click but all I get is a description of the relic.

Combined artefatcs were not available on RoE. They were invented with Armageddon's Blade.
You either define the map as SoD map, or you leave out combo arties.

I appreciate your reply. So how do I keep my previously made maps on RoS and convert them to SoD maps.If so will the map editor let me upgrade and reform the old maps from RoS? Is there some kind of patch?

You can open the map with SoD map editor, and then define it as SoD map.

To clarify, you should be able to find this option under Tools>Map Specifications>General>Map Version.

So first I need to install SoD? Because Map Version does'nt appear in editor on RoS.

Does that mean all the maps i've made for RoE are never going to have combo artifacts or be eligable for upgrading with SoD or Armageddons Blade type editor? Man I put hell of hours into some of those maps.

Yeah you have to own the expansion to have the editor and convert them. You also need the expansion before you can play SoD / AB maps.
If you want try gog.com, you can pay for and download a copy of Heroes 3 Complete there and prices are reasonable. I'm pretty sure the site is legit but if anyone knows otherwise please let me know... I got my copy from there since I lost my old CD
