Homm3 version - WT

homm3 WT (developed mostly by ASM) is improved version of homm3 TE.
main enhancements:
- easy installation over SOD or over TE
- anti-cheat (cheats do not work; can't open map)
- chat
- permanent quick combat with possibility to re-play battle manually
- Ballistics, Artillery, Learning skills were improved

Latest WT version is WT 0.32, upgrade to 0.4 is expected till May 1, 2010.

Direct link for WT 0.32 installation
Installation instruction: no need to back-up current homm3 version; new folder will be created and all files from your current version will be copied. Better not use any specific letters in folder name; preferably make c:\homm3wt\ or similar. After installation is complete, start game and then connect by ip or hamachi. You may have both SOD and WT at the same time on one PC. Installation is easy, may take 10-15 minutes.

Full list of WT changes/features:

Version 0.32:
1. Disable peasent Dwelling.
2. Ufretin start army are 5-6 Dwarfs 16-20 Centaurs 5-6 Dwarfs,
Piquedram 6-7 Gargoyles 35-40 Gremlins 6-7 Gargoyles.
3. Improved chat interface.
4. Tournament Lobby in chat.
5. In the chat link to article: How to start playing, Hamachi, Rules.
6. Fixed a bug: in some versions game crashes when entering thieves guild.
7. Fixed all known bugs with QC: reducing the army garrison,
loss of mana for the protection, properly disable QC.
8. Fixed a bug with the game for the blue, red if the computer and it takes Scholar,
then the player is asked, take a skill or not.
9. Fixed bug: stack operation when disable experiences in the castle - with fast
stack operation stack can divide and appear.
10. Fixed template Jebus Cross.

Version 0.31:
1. Fixed some bugs in Quick Combat.

Version 0.3:
1. Chat: Generate random towns, templates, coin
2. Map generator: snandart settings by default to generate a random map
3. Script show monsters territory of which they stand
4. Added script to check SoD + price change, if some WoG scripts are not running
5. Hit-and-run - option Hit-and-run modified on: Attacking hero cannot
retreat/surrender at first round if he has cast a spell
6. If you want make screenshots,
then simply press Ctrl + Print Screen and in folder .\Screenshots\ appears

7. Quick Combat. Quick Combat are held on following algorithm: first show
Quick Combat result and then to fight in manual mode.
8. Anticheat: Disallow using cheat tricks in game.
9. Skill Learning adds 20/50/100 %, on expert level skill can be forgotten.
10. Archery increase ammunition shots at +1/3/6, On Expert level you can buy Ammo Cart
11. Artillery increases the damage done by range attacking creatures by +5/10/15%
on Expert level you can buy Ballista for 2500 gold,
artillery specialists also receive an additional 5% for each
level of percentage increase in attacks at a distance.
12. Ballistics increase range of distance attack without range penalty at +1/2/4
No walls penalty on Expert.
13. Sniper class disabled
14. Fixed bug - now you cann't cast traveling spells w/o
Spell Book, with Tome of Magic or Spellbinder's Hat
15. Rampart start with 14-20 Centaurs
16. Towers start with 35-40 gremlin

Version 0.2:
1. Easy installation. You can install WT on SoD3.0-4.0, WoG and TE versions. It contains Russian and English versions. In the beginning of installation you can choose the language. Setup file size is 22 Mb.
2. The game is placed in separate folder and it has separate brunch in register, so WT doesn't influence the current version.
3. Common Heroes WT chat.
4. You can choose template in the game.
5. Chess-time setup is in the program.
6. All settings are taken from the host.
7. Includes autosaver.
8. Simplification of WoG options system:
- 1 option for disabling all classes
- 50% experience - option in WoG options
- 2% taxes - option in WoG options
- Options for disabling some buildings were removed
- Troops in external garrisons free of charge = 1, option was removed
- Option for Cartographer replacement was removed
- Wild Monsters are enabled, option was removed
- Modified heroes are enabled, option was removed
- Inferno Portal works only as in TE version, option was removed
- New Witch Huts are enabled, option was removed
- Reserve stack in Tactic skill is enabled, option was removed
- Off-line mode is disabled, option was removed
- Dimension Door can be used 2 times per turn with Expert Water, option was removed
- Spell Scrolls are changed for gold with 500 coefficient
- Hill Fort replacement is disabled, option was removed
- Dimension Door is in Water Magic, option was removed
- Minsk Rules option was removed
- Necro-patch is enabled, option was removed
- Choosing types of road
9. Road skript by Sir_Four was added
10. One-way teleports skript by Sir_Four was added
11. Scholar skript by SAG was added, scholar offers a skill
12. Artifacts viewing by SAG + error of viewing in terra incognita was corrected
13. Ctrl+Mouse_Left_Click on class icon in hero window - description for all classes - by Sir_Four
14. Obelisks, Cartographer, Hill-fort, Conflux Double-dwellings were disabled by Wic, Sir_Four

15. Simultaneous-turn is disabled by default with note "experimental version, only for testing"
16. In exe file: the processor load was reduced from 100% to 1-3% by adding a call of "Sleep" in the cycle of receiving messages OS
17. In exe file: report that many WOG scripts are not intended for multi-player: "WOG successfully tested on bla-bla-bla" was disabled
18. Some errors in exe file were corrected.
19. Armor have 15% bonus instead of 20% in TE
20. Weekly Vampire's increase = 4 instead of 5 in TE
21. Galthran has 3 stacks*20-30 skeletons
22. 32 bit patch - Heroes WT can work in window mode and with 32 bit color
23. Russian verison by Qwertyus
24. Skin by SAG, Qwertyus

1. Chaos patch: 200% difficulty at the start of 2500 give the gold
2. Added option to off one-way monolith to many way
3. When you click on the neutrals shows the presence upgraded stack (by Ivor)

i like what i see very much at first at least . i`ll try it .

one question about the necropolis is necromancy skill banned and vamp population lowered at the same time or the necro skill is available but the vamps are lowered ? I just couldnt get it as it is written
/may be becouse i`m tired ;D/

so if we take necropolis from h3 complete - all it is done is just removing the necromancy skill /vamp population is normal 4 per week/.
Dont you think they are made a bit weaker ?

Dont you think they are made a bit weaker ?

I think this way it's good balanced town (like others).

Version 0.4 just finished couple days ago!

There still bugs. In my last game on wt I had a day which I couldn't move my 2 scouts when I entered town then got out fast... Maybe cause it was a very long turn. Second is I attack pixies, unicorns and then opponent, when battle ends, opponent don't see me fought those guards and come to him. I won the battle and he still doesn't see my hero and any of those guards fought. Its not that big of a deal but still there some bugs in it.

It's not a bag. Likely you just exhausted the time limit and your turn end.

Are you sure that the chess time was turned off (by default they are turn on and standard SOD set time is not affected)

Yep, i am sure that i turned off chess time.

Besides this bug, i found another bug in another game. Sometimes information about upgraded stack within monster group is not correct.

I corrected this error after 2 hours after the release of version 0.4. But they told me that sometimes all the same error, today or tomorrow I'll check. If the problem is, I will correct it and released version 0.41

I checked showing upgraded stack.
It work correctly (if u download version after 26/04/2010)!!!
But if your army is so strong that neutrals combined into 1 stack, then no upgraded stack!

hey i have a question connected with creature specializations.
what is gap between atack/defence leveling up of 1st/2/3/4/5/6 lvl creatures.

I know that gap is smaller when the creature is low level but i cant calculate certain equasion.

Att = Att(bas)*(1 + N/n*0,05)
Def = Def(bas)*(1 + N/n*0,05)

Att(bas), Def(bas) - basic unit At, Def

     N - hero level
     n - unit level
