"One..." Kane whispered to himself, then looked at Zero and said "So you got us here, fed us, small talked some." He leaned forward. "What is the reason you got us here? To see who would flee, to see who would make a move to kill you, who would show? I take it there ain't too many more coming, else they'd be pretty late by now. Why make us wait, when you can simply tell us what you need us for? You hope we will make alliances here, friends? Enemies? I, and probably the rest too, would really like to hear an answer. Now."

"Man am I late! Late as usual!" Xion said as he walked up to the house he had been directed too "All because of those damn 'heroes' who show up all the time! And the cops too! Who would have thought that killing a politician and threatning a few others would be so damn hard hard!" As Xion had almost reached the house he felt something in the back of his mind and then he saw a man come running out of the house screaming. Xion reconised the man as one of those super heroes running around in town, this one was one of the few Xion had yet to meet.
Xion raised his hand and shouted "Yo buddy, what'cha so scared for? Did the geezer bite your hand or something?"

"Oh calm yourself, Mr. Kane. Granted, Terrence's outburst was foreseen, but that was not the purpose of our little gathering. Now I am waiting here for an old acquaintance, he should be here any-" started Zero.
Xion walked in just then.
"Moment.." continued Zero as he smiled (though behind his mask, no one can really see it). "Mr. Redfox, or should I say, Xion, welcome!"

Xion was sligthly surprised about Zero's comment about calling him Redfox, but not so much. This was Zero after all, and anything were to be expected.
"Why thank you, Zero. Long time since I saw you. I really never got the chance to thank you for killing the old proffesor back then, I am really grateful for that you know." Xion said and made a short bow. His eyes then started to look around in the room before he said "Either one of these people here is a telekinetic, I am crazy or Zero have a really weird thing for floating stuff in the air." Xion said before trying to climb up in a chair that for Xion, seemed like it was floating in the air.

You will eat with great delight I'm sure." replied Zero. "And about Morte, it is no problem. I was sure that he was going to squeeze every ounce of life out of you at some point. Of course then, I didn't much care, but right now, it is good to have you around. In fact, there is this nanobot I am currently developing. We shall speak about it later."

Palmer smiled, he enjoyed this part. he had captured one of those superheroes. a fairly minor one, more specifically, Minor 1, almost unheard off in most of New constantinople, but in this neighbourhood, he was an icon. Palmer chuckled as he carefully chopped off one of the 4 remaining fingers on Minor's hand with the kitchen knife.
"Please... I have a wife... and Kid... stop!"
"oh...don't worry," Palmer whispered, as he placed the finger in the arangement around the base of Minor's chair. the superhero have been cuffed with his own hand cuffs, stripped to the waist, manacled to the centre of the room and left ready for Palmer to have some fun. "I'll leave them alive, just... not all together there."
"You monster... I'll Kill You, I'll Kill You!"
"don't think so," Palmer hissed. Minor 1's only weapon had been a simple shotgun, and that will be residing in a rather interesting trap involving the fridge freezer later. he was simply a man who stopped gangs, fighting against Palmer had been a completely different experience, and he had failed utterly. Palmer chopped off another finger, relishing Minor's screams. "Tell me, micheal, do you have any... paint brushes?"
"Why the F**k should I tell you?!"
"simple," palmer said. "if you do, I might make it so you're family has a chance of surviving this." the play of love was so, so elegant, Palmer looked into the eyes of Micheal Wunson, as he saw his feeble little brain try and comprehend what to do. Minor relented. "over there, by the counter."
"thankyou, micheal, you have been so helpful." carefully, Palmer picked out a delicate brush, something for fine art. he chuckled, now to make the spectacle!
in one movement, he slashed the line down Minor's chest, blood pooring out as well as the screams. carefully, Palmer took the brush, and dabbed it on the blood. walking over to a wall, he began to leave his mark.
"do you want the note written like this?" Palmer said back to Minor 1. no response. turning around, Palmer looked at Minor 1. he must have gone into shock, he hadn't lost enough blood for serious damage. there was only one way to find out. bending down to Minor's hand, he raised the knife and brought it down on the last two fingers.

"Right, I'm crazy, I hear that all the time so it ain't really anything new. It's just that this room seriously screws my mind over..." Xion said and stared out in the air at all the things floating there, the food, the silverware, the forks, the cups, heck even the drinks were somehow floating up in the air.
Then Xion heard Zero mention the nanobot and Xion figured out something. He stuck his hand into the pocket, thought the keyword and made the nanobots create a the pair of googles he had created that shut off his seing other powers ability. He pulled them fourth and took them on, and suddenly the room was perfectly fine again. He smiled, sat down and started eating happily.
"Terrence you say? That was the guy who ran out screaming like you had infected him with rabies? Heard about him, but never really foug-I mean met before." Xion said and noticed the other people around the table and started staring at each and one of them like he had just noticed that they were there.
"A weirdly dressed teenager, a refined lady, a old boats man, some military or something person, think I've seen him before, a muscular guy and..." Xion thought as he looked at them one after one before finally stopping at inferno "...you..." he said in a low-voice "...man, and here I was hoping I would not have to see you for atleast one more week. What does this make? The fourth time we meet?" Xion now spoke in a more causual, if still weird tone.

Inferno placed his palm over his face in utter disbelief. He had been trying to deal with Xion for a while, but now here he is sitting across the table from him, eating happily as if nothing new was going on.
"Well, you all enjoy your meals, in the meantime, I shall be waiting in the training room for you all. Should you not be able to find your way around this labyrinth, I'm sure Geoffrey or one of the other butlers can help you." said Zero as he got up and walked off. However, his movements looked a little strange, as if it was not human. He also walked with very heavy feet. Something was up.

Xion raised an eyebrow as Zero walked away from the rest of the company.
"Something is wrong with the old geezer. Might be that the guy caved in and what we're seing is just a robotic replicate of the brilliant man who is Zero. But who knows." Xion just shrugged and decided to keep eating, he had not eaten since breakfest that morning, and this day had been a fairly busy one, for both Jack Redfox and Xion.

Rex had to hand it to Zero, the food and drinks were very high quality. The other guests did not realy converse with him, which suited Rex just fine. Sidewinder's outburst was actually rather amusing and the reaction that it provoced from Inferno even more so. Rex could not help but grin, though most of it would have been obscured by his moustache.
Not long after Sidewinder stormed out of the room another young man entered the room. He had a psychotic look about him, though it was decidedly different form than that from the girl across the room.
The conversation he and Zero had was interesting, but not very informative. The mention of nanobots sparked some interest with Rex, but it was to nondescript to be of any real use. Rex did not realy trust nanobot-tech anyway. He had followed some research of it with interest, but ever since the Melbourne Research Institute came dangerously close to instigating a real-life Grey Goo scenario Rex decided Nanobots were to risky a technology.
Zero got up and roused Rex from his thoughts. He moved puppet-like and stiff. 'Strange, his movements are rather awkward.' Rex thought. 'On the other hand, it's possible that the man is older than I am.' Then the young man who entered last remarked that he moved like a robot. That did it for Rex. He set the remote on alert, gobbled down what was left of the food and followed Zero out of the room.
When he entered the hallway, Zero was already gone. Noticing one of the servants, Rex asked to be shown to the training-room, whatever that might encompass. Rex suspected that Zero wanted his guest to demonstrate their abilities to one another. However if that was the case, Rex had something to talk about with Zero first. Seeing how he graciously objected to Rex' initial parkingspace, he would likely object to Rex' usual way of entering a building with the Vulture. 'I'm certain our host would dislike me tearing down part of the wall or roof to have the Vulture enter through.'

Kane rose at the same time as Zero, not wanting to ask a servant for direction he decided to follow the man himself.Hopefully we'll get answers now. He thought, giving both the girls a smile.

Vlad's cellphone rang.
- Excuse me.- He exited the hall and answered the call.
- You're a brave one tvajumat.
The voice on the other side laughed.
- Haha, it's been a hundred years Vladimir. Did you watched the news?
- No, I'm kinda busy right now. At a party in Zero's place.
- Wow, good for you. Look. Two men have been found near the truck stop. Shot in the chest. Like dogs.
- So what do you want from me? Send some of your men and I guarantee that tommorow at the same time you will be happy.
- But Vladimir, I don't trust people who work in a building with diagonal windows. I need you. I want my asian back. With the whole set. Get Misha. He can tell you more.
- He's on vacation.
- His honeymoon is over, I talked to him.
- Don't tell me that he's married.
- You sure live like a hermit- he laughed again- I won't be in debt, you know me. Bee seeing you.- He hung up.
Vlad returned to the hall. As he walked past the blonde with an eyepatch, he felt uneasy. She looked at him like he was the cause of all her problems. He sat back in his seat, and finished his meal. A waiter refilled his glass and served a flambeaux.
- A burning banana. Not something you eat everyday. - The evening was a bit dull, so Vlad decided to start a conversation.- So, friends, what are your, hmm... fields of business?

Kane was walking away as one of the men brought up a question that was of real interest to him. Would be nice to know what the rest of them do. he thought, and stopped. He walked back and sat down beside the other woman, the one with an eyepatch, ignoring the chill he got when he was near her. He leaned back and put his feet up on the table.
"I can start." Kane said, smiling toward the large man. "I fix stuff, for those who can pay. Mostly private arrangements, but I've done a few off the record-jobs for the government too. I retrieve almost anything, and so far I haven't failed a single job. Also I kill for money, but I mean; who doesn't?" he shrugged. "Anyone else wanna share?"

"I'm uhhh...a hero...and I'm basically a superpowered cop that doesn't get paid regularly..." said Inferno a little shakily, but more comfortable now than he was with Zero around. "It's a lot better than it sounds, trust me. You can get a minor celebrity status...and thats pretty cool, especially when the mayor grants you money as a reward. That's nice..."

As he left, Rex heard the others talk amongst themselves, about what they got up to when they weren't entertained by mysterious super-villains. Rex had a pretty good idea what the other guests did in their normal days and frankly he did not care very much. The other guests had not stirred up any particular interest, as they seemed no use to further Rex' own machinations.
Rex followed the servant to the training-room, the way was long and Rex was sure that the servant was leading him in circles before ariving. Zero was cooking something up and Rex nearly ached to know. When finally the servant opened a door and invited Rex to go in. Rex arrived in an incredibly spacious room, that reminded him of a gymnasium. Zero was already present and was standing with his back to the door.
"I figured you'd be here by now. Now a clever fellow like you probably already knows what I'm thinking. Though I'm inclined to think that you will not show me any hangar-doors untill the rest of our illustrious company has arrived. Am I wrong?"

- I see. Well, I work as a hired gun mostly. For the right price ofcourse. For who- I don't care. Be it army, terrorists or mafia, their money is all the same. I am a genetically engineered super soldier, a relic from the Cold War. - Vlad looked at the flambeaux and sighed- How do I eat the damn thing? So, as my body is altered, I am able to survive in extreme conditions. Also I'm able to use any type of weapon both projectile and cold kind.- he took a sip from his glass.- Being a hero- he looked at Inferno.- comes with a price. One day you're respected by the whole nation, and next- they discard you to trash and release an order to destroy you. Think about it kid.

And he can see the future, so I really do not know what to think." said Inferno timidly, then he straightened up and looked more like a hero should and said, "But I am not going to let what he says dictate how my life will play out. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going off to the training room and see what this is all about."
