Don't worry, during Betas Blizzard always makes a hell lot of changes to the multiplayer version. Personally I find interesting the idea of a low dps, fast & tanky Tempest against the slow, ultra-hardcounter of its HotS counterpart. The 500 DoTS is a tad stupid lol

Well, for now, I'm optimist  One thing that I generally dislike in SC2 multi (and singleplayer) is less researches. In BroodWar you had to research most of the abilities to use them (Defiler or Queen for example) and I liked that. Of course, that is my personal opinion and doesn't mean that it was a good feature

I do appreciate the Immortal and Tempest changes in principle, because them working as Hard Counters is just not fun nor good for the game. Well Tempest seems screwed, it is so expensive already. At least keep them viable against Colossus, for heavens we don't want PvP to devolve into WoL now that it actually is interesting to watch. Funny how Terran is my least favored race overall but when it comes to mirror matches TvT is the most interesting one.

It was the most interesting one... in 2013. Nowadays? Hardly.

TvT has the most potential for sure, but it can also be pretty dull. I agree with Ramiz, it used to be better than it is right now.

Which one do you guys prefer then, PvP or ZvZ?
ZvZ is still so unforgiving, as is PvP. It snowballs hard when it snowballs. IEM Finals were truly good though, not because of the players did stuff that was mind blowing but because we simply appreciate games that take a bit longer  Hence I mostly like TvT.

Prefer ZvZ nowadays to be honest. There are a lot of stuff lately, not just Roach wars.
Zerglings, Banelings, Mutas, Roaches, Hydras, Swarm Hosts, Infestors, everything is used and I like those different army compositions and play styles when they are viable.
You see a lot of different things in PvP as well, but it's just one major cheese fest most of the time and if it isn't, then it is a big blob of death against each other.
TvT is interesting, but it is getting boring and dull with same army composition each game. I like it when we get Mech vs. Bio, but that doesn't happen that often.
And to be honest, whole SC2 is unforgiving, not just ZvZ or PvP. I don't know how many games I've seen where one Terran lose few Vikings, other gets air dominance and the game is just over from there since the one that doesn't have enough air has to use scans to be able to see enemy tanks and positioning which matters a lot in TvT.

I'd still put TvT above ZvZ.

I must admit that I didn't watch every ZvZ in past few months, but the last 5 I've seen were quite different from each other, where TvT is almost always same crap apart from Mech vs. Bio.

I am not even watching this, don't have time, but I don't think that Dream is even close to being good as Maru outside of TvZ. Maru 4-1 or 4-2 Dream is my prediction.
