Stephano, Naniwa and that other swedish fella in Star2 come to mind but they were never this dominant among other europeans.

WC3 scene had Tod ofc.

Plenty of early BroodWar era players. But skill level in general was very low in comparison back then.

As for emotions, yeah Serral has gotten a lot better about that but heís still a little too nervous at times. You can see it in his games against Stats, first two games especially, he takes bad engagements he should have waited five seconds for. Very uncharacteristic of his current form.
Also you can see hi shaking like a leaf in before it starts xD

But that isnít necessarily bad. Best performance requires you to be a little nervous. So bar any unforeseen events he still has room to improve there.

Heís going to get even better in the future.

Naniwa was closer to Stephano than to Serral, he was good and could compete with the best Koreans, but he wasn't so dominant as Serral is right now.

ToD wasn't really anywhere near that level in WC3, he was top tier Human player for sure, but many were a lot better than him in different periods. When talking about foreigners(non-Korean and non-Chinese players), MadFrog, Grubby, Happy comes to mind. Grubby is still considered to be the greatest WC3 player of all outside of Korea/China region. WC3 was also a lot different than SCBW or SC2, a lot of foreigners could play on a level that was close to Chinese and Koreans, the gap wasn't that big at all.

Also JoonasTo what happened to your cute anime girl avatar, it is so generic now.

Well different times, when MadFrog was considered god, Grubby wasn't even popular, Happy's time came after Grubby and the rest switched to SC2, he is right now considered to be one of the best non Koreans and probably the best Undead player.

Happy did play SC2 as well. Wasnít bad but nothing more. Same with grubby, though he was better. I guess Star2 scene was just a lot more competitive right from the start.

Which makes sense considering it was way more popular in a time when RTS games were in the mainstream. Plenty of good players to congregate together, even if it took time for the brood war players to join.

So I completed Nova Covert Ops dlc. It was worth it.

It did feel like a full-fledged campaign (only shorter) and packed with content. The mini-campaign is canon from what I know and is a complete story. Suprisingly, there was a lot of mission variety and a lot of cutscenes, some of them really cool. Even if an expierienced SCII player can plow through all the missions fast, for me it was around 5h of gameplay which is ok for a dlc. You also get an interesting mini-armory system and fully customazible Hero unit (you can, for instance, make a stealth sniper or a brutal melee warrior from Nova). The campaign itself is a showcase of what the SCII engine and map editor can do, even if there's already so much content in the Arcade. It's not a reuse of assets, there are lots of completly new things here like unit models, backgrounds, art or animations. Each mission map is crafted with detail, and there are even some small touches here and there (mini-dialogues, secret locations etc).

A lot of work was put into the dlc, it definately didn't feel like money-grab, even with its pricetag.
