Gotcha, thanks. I'm expecting Lucifron to win this one, but I don't know too much about Forgg, is he any good? Also, who are the better European casters?

Well, ForGG, he is korean, in BW won 1 MSL and then nothing more, he switched to SC2 like around Nov-December 2011, got to GSL at his first attemp and then on Feb 2012 decided to move to France signing with Millenium.

Good? He is a monster, his TvT record right now is like 48-3, an monstruous 94% winratio. This is going to be hard, very hard for Luci, but I hope he can do it anyways ^^

Geez! That's really scary...

Lucifron 2-0ed MVP though...

Btw, what's the point of having WCS America and WCS Europe and etc. if Koreans can play everywhere?

This point has been a mess since the early announcement in...march?

Is hard to explain. They (Blizzard) decided to create 3 big regions - Europe, America and Corea. In Corea, they replaced both GSL and OSL tournaments with the WCS (a rename mostly, but is not the same with OSL though) while building WCS EU & AM from scratch.

Officially, they decided to give freedom to choose region, but for the seeds on EU & AM they would be limited in some way (only 8 players from other region for example). Blizzard thought they wouldn't be too much people going for other region and overall it would be just increasing the level of each region.

Personally I see two big problems. In Corea, now there are only 4 seasons in a year - while last year we had 5 GSL, 1 OSL and the WCS Korea + Asia (which was a korean fest). So the koreans have been "damaged" by this WCS stuff. But, on the other hand, they can move to other regions, and so WCS AM ended like this:

Yes, only 1 NA player and 1 Canadian player in the top 16. NA scene has been hurted by this

Yeah, everyone in the WCS America chat was whining about this. Seems like a pretty bad idea by Blizzard, wonder how long it'll last.

THOR DROPS BTW!

...

Dat was epic...

Amazing...

I know, but given how "exciting" these games were I was worried regardless. ZvP is, in my opinion, the most boring match up right after ZvZ, such a downgrade from that amazing TvT we had before.

Swarm host are boring, not ZvP. The ZvP with ultras on the Zerg side is very fun to watch imo.

Right, but most ZvPs these days (that I've seen) have either been mutas or swarm hosts, with the ultralisks being the exception rather than the rule.

If the Swarm Hosts are used as they should, they wouldn't be boring at all. Blizzard made them in mind to be aggressively used units, and they are the units that takes the most "skill" to use in a Zerg's arsenal, constant moving around the map, burrow, spawn locusts, unburrow, fall back etc. Problem is that Zerg players are using them as they were using Infestors in WoL, camping behind the Spine and Spores Forest.

I hope that if Blizzard touches them, they do something about their defensive play.

Yeah, well, that is mostly because of the Immortals, Archons and Void Rays, Ultras just melt. They are good to hit the timing in some situations, but you have to switch from them pretty fast, or to waste them and re-max with different units, otherwise, Protoss will just keep adding Immortals, Zealots, Archons and will crush you eventually.

Personally I hope they change the SH upgrade, instead of giving extra life time something like increase HP. As it is right now, once you clear one round there's already another spawned, and it's like an infinite snowball ZZZzzz

With that change on the locust, they would be tougher but there would be some vulnerability (that widow time until next round appears). Also, it would help with the camping-from-spines issue, since they wouldn't able to walk such absurd distances.

As it is right now the game is pretty balanced and fun to watch (it has improved so much from WoL 2012...), but I hope in the future Blizzard makes some interesting changes...

Yeah, I feel it's really balanced, but it can be a snooze-fest. I really like how Snute played with the Swarm Hosts recently, he added Nydus into the composition and was maneuvering everywhere. I believe he still lost (it was Shoutcraft if I'm not mistaken, vs. Kane) but it was still sick, and a lot more entertaining than the slow, advancing wall of death.

Although I still think Toss haven't learned how to counter it properly, storm drops might be effective, and I feel they don't exploit the lack of movement in the Zerg army enough. Apollo (?) was going on about this today, complaining about the lack of warp prism harass from babyknight and I agree with him 100%.

Pretty much. Swarm Hosts can be amazing, even for spectators. Snute used them against Alicia in WCS NA, and the game was great, but he failed in the end because you don't walk around with Swarm Hosts doing nothing, you release the Locusts, and then move them around. He walked with ~20 Swarm Hosts, and walked right into the Protoss army, and with Colossi, Blink Stalkers and Storms, it was too late to burrow them. He did though, but Storms went all over them, killing both them and Locusts and it was gg.
He still would've won that game if he didn't make such a huge blunder.
