More Skills (H5-style)
So, let's say we take the Heroe Skills from H5, pretty much as they are, into H6...but want more!? Here are some suggestions:
Navigation:
Almost self-explaining. "logistics for water"...to make this skill more attractive, I'd suggest It also reduces the complete movement loss when stepping on a boat. (let's say you sitll have 20% movement (of your current movement when stepping on/off the boat) on basic level. 35% on advanced and 50% on expert level. Perks would improve several things on water, in combat as well as on adventure map.
Nobility:
I'd REALLY like the return of this skill, improving creature growths...there would probably changes have to be made in leadership perks - recruitment should drop out and diplomacy as well as estates moved to Nobility. Tactics is more a leadership perk anyway, imo, and something mroe would surely come into our mind
Battle Lore:
I'd like the Sylvan racial removed and this general skill added. It would make your units slightly more effective when fighting a certain creature type your hero can choose - beasts, demons, Dragons, elementals, mechanicals, undead, etc. Perks would include things like special hero attacks against this creature type, etc...
Architect:
Reduces building gold cost in town. Ultimate perk could be building two buildings per turn in this town.
Governing:
Now this perk promotes a very special way of heroing. It makes your hero gain exp, for every day the hero spends COMPLETELY in a town. It would, therefore, strengthen the defense highly. It has, however, no other effect, so for an offensive hero, it is highly useless. It is NOT cumultative with enlightenment!!!
Speed(name to be changed):
We have attack and Defense, so why not, now, a whole skill working on speed, increasing your units' speed by 1/2/3 for basic/advanced/expert skill. ... this skill wold probably be more realistic on a "bigger" battlefield with more squares.
Rush:
Another battle skill, increasing the initiative of your units by 10/20/30%. For me, an initiative skill is a MUST HAVE...

Why would we want to promote the perk, which is absolutely useless on most maps (namely Navigation) back into a skill as it was in Heroes 3? In my oppinion it rested perfectly well as a perk.
The others would be nice, however. I like the Battle Lore idea.

What will happen now?

Well I've never played H5, but I can't say I like the looks of the racial skills, they just look as though they'd be too limiting (many apply 'only' to faction creatures, even those like Artificier and Runelore for which there is no reasonable explanation), and when you add in the morale effects as well... I mean in H3, Orrin and Mephala and that were as useful to Inferno or Necro as to their own towns.

these are all skills^^
...and I also like the racial idea...yet I allways found the avenger not so great and would have preferred a similar skill for everyone, and for monster types...choosing one monster type is just TOO specialized!!!

Right, now try coming up with like 5 perks for each of those.
