PLease Help:)
Howdee folks,
I am having the problem of a lifetime trying to get Heroes 3.1 to wrok properaly via internet. It works perfectly single player, but everytime I try to hamachi it or ubisoft it, the game gives me the player 2 has disconnected error. We can never get more than 1 days worth in. I remove firewall when I play, shut off all other applications. I never had this problem before because I did play many of you at TOTE with no issues. My providers reliabilty is excellent. I have a feeling its where my IP signals go that are to weak for the European signals, and that, there is nothing I can do I think.
I really want to play those duel matchups, as I do have the time now.
I did reinstall Heroes, removed all maps, saves from disk. And still get this error.
What it possibly be?
I am starting to doubt perhaps wires dating more than 5-6 years old to be the culprit.
Any people with similar issues?

Having had similar issues, I believe it maybe where you are and where the person you wish to play is. I had a lot of trouble playing those 'overseas', but people closer to me had no issues.

Well I'll reply since you said please help & not sure if you've read this thread.
Since you had it working in the past & I'm sure you know what you are doing, the problem is very likely temporary & if you try again some time later it will be good I think 
"I have had experience where hamachi connection to a particular person was no good for a time & then after a few weeks/months, it was fine again...likely that the connection between us thru the combination of routers/NAT was incompatible temporarily somehow but dunno why it came good again."
Of course you could try GameRanger [or Wippien]...GameRanger may even tell you what the problem is, right Mytical?
Anyway, I recall Mytical also couldn't connect to someone in own country as well at the time

Anyways, Gameranger is indeed a cool place to meet. I have had some problems in the past and the owner ( S.Kevil ) was kind enough to try and solve the problem and send me an e-mail explaining what he and other had done to solve it. I like that place....nuff said

Wippien is just another free peer-to-peer VPN software (like Hamachi)...I haven't tried it but I've read about it & read of others who have. I was just listing alternatives in case any of them work.
What I've found so far for H5 is if it doesn't work thru hamachi & it's worked in the past, then it's very likely the same problems will affect other peer-to-peer connection programs [but as in RL, nothing is 100% certainty].

thanks guys I was thinking that as well. Most of you are European, and I am in Canada, east coast. ONly people I could play lots with were Jinxer.
All other Europeans I could play at certain times during the day or night.
