Possible to play classic HOMM5 campaigns with new features from TotE?
I think the alternate upgrade units in ToE really makes the game more fun and complex. I bought and played TotE first, and just recently started to play the original HOMM5 campaigns. I think it's not as fun to play without the alternate upgrade units and the other new features introduced in TotE.
So I wonder: is it a way to play the classic campaigns from the original HOMM5 with the new features from TotE (including the alternate upgrade units)? Some mods or something perhaps?

I think so yes. This is embarrassing, I had downloaded them at some time but can't find them. They are probably in the modders workshop, will let you know as soon as I get them.

Hi guys,
I couldnt seem to make it work!  I placed the following files in the UserMODs/ folder as told. Could it be because I didnt have the UserMODs folder originally? I created it! What did you guys do differently from me????
Also, now the latest version is 3.1 not 3.0 any more! But when playing with the Heroes 5 Original Look'n Feel mod, the number "3.0" is shown??

I just installed ToE a few days ago, and it created the UserMODS folder automatically.
Are you trying to mod a ToE installation, or the Original H5/Hammers-expanded installation? If it's the latter, that's the problem... the mods bring the Original and HoF content into ToE, not bring the ToE mechanics to the previous versions.
If it's not that, then my next guess is you're trying to put the mods in the wrong place... I'm at work ATM, and can't check for sure where the folder is supposed to be.

Hey guys, sorry for bumping an old thread but I had the same problem as these guys and I figured it was simpler than making an entirely new thread.
Anyway, I'm having a problem with the mod. I put the folders in the Usermods folder, but after I do ToTE refuses to run. I'll click the icon, or go to autorun or anything but the game just won't run.
This is the first mod I've tried, so that might have something to do with it, and I only have 3.0, not 3.1 due to troubles installing the patch. The link Elvin gave didn't say anything about the version though, unless I'm missing something...
Any help would be appreciated.

No I cannot. I download the file and run the executable but the and error message always pops up:
The contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted. Please obtain another copy of the file, verify its integrity, and try again.
I can't find another version of the patch, am I screwed or...

hmmmm, I feel stupid now. I could have sworn the other patch downloads were complete...
Anyway, the patch installed fine but the game still won't start when I have the files in the usermod folder.
