Some more suggestions:

- Being able to view the town/hero screens during the opponent's turn, as well as the Kingdom Overview (if there is one; I hope there is), obelisk map, and whatnot. I hated not being able to do this in Heroes 5.

- Being able to give move-orders to all your heroes on the opponent's turn and to set waypoints, to speed up the game. Let's say I want a secondary hero to grab two resource piles and then return to the town...you get the idea.

- An option to execute all move-orders simultaneously during your turn -- in which case there should be the possibility to give a move-order without moving the hero during your turn, to cancel move-orders, and to see all movement-trails at the same time.

Let's say I want to move two secondary heroes and manually control my main hero. With what I'm suggesting I could give move-orders to those two heroes during the opponent's turn and, when my turn comes, press a key to move both of them at the same time, and control my main hero while the secondary heroes move.

- A tactical map, similar to the Kingdom Overview in Heroes 3



but functional, on which to be able to plan ahead, place different colored markers and make notes. When the opponent's turn takes very long or when the game is interrupted for a length of time, I sometimes forget what I had planned, especially when the plan involved numerous actions. Not vital, but nice to have.

- An option to see how many turns it takes to reach any spot on the map (in the visible area, of course), so even if creatures are blocking the way. Combined with waypoints, this would be superb.

- An option to see the exact scouting range of lookout towers and other structures on the map, to be able to set ambushes. For sneakier players.

Creepiestdani, very nice ideas, is revolution in Heroes multiplayer ! We live in epoch of multicore processors, Heroes game must give much more comfortable, fluid gameplay to players ... Then you play H6 you must feel like in hi end car - climate control, autopilot etc , not like in old car painted like new car but still the same old car ...

Edit: I see some problems with implementing automatching system for heroes. One of this is time limit game. I hate to play Heroes with time limit set 1-5 min, dynamic battles ... Just no way ... And what to do if server automatch you in time limit game ? I think for this need option in game preferences like no time limit ...  So server will know not to put you in time limited game ...

Edit2: Creepiestdani ideas reminded me now other cool possibilities for H6. Ideas proposed by him we can see in even more advanced stage in game Laser Squad Nemesis (dead by now , maybe not permanent). In this game sim turns stay forever ! Game is played by email, no need to be online at same time with opponent. You told to your units what to do next turn, but no direct control over them ... Example soldier if you see enemy, you shoot and get cover. Or if you see enemy don't shoot just run, etc ... To get a better idea take a look here Laser Squad Nemesis Gamespot review. Author of this game is creator of such mega hits like X-COM 1, 2 ... His name is Julian C Gollop, he live now in Sofia and work for UBI Sofia on some mobile phone games. Such a waste of human resources One of the best game designers work on some crap mobile phone games... UBI please use him in H6 project to polish multy. He create also game Lords of Chaos, game very similar to Heroes. By the way what appear first Heroes or Lord of Chaos ? I don't know him in person, i just his big fun. Current situation just make me scream, world is so unfair ! Sure ideas from LSN can't be implemented directly in Heroes, but some elements, yes ...

Map pool for ranking games on UBI server
To avoid cheating and abuses only official approved maps must be allowed for ranking games. For rmg - only official templates. Possibility for players to ban some of this maps, if he don't like them.

Custom zone
In this zone every thing goes, but no ranking. Best custom maps, templates in time, by vote of players can became official maps for ranking games. Most banned by players official maps must be eliminated from ranking in time.

Special events of UBI server
Weekly small tournaments with small prizes. As prizes can serve money, graphical rewards etc ... Big final tournament on end of season with good money prize or prestigious graphical reward.

Replays zone
Were best replays from tournaments are posted.

Multiplayer achievements
For example - unbeatable 100 games in row !

Clans, clans ranking, tournaments
To enhance players interaction, not only in game ...

Wonderful ideas Infinitus.

I love the idea of replays. A complementary idea would be to make replays editable, that is, being able to erase the replays of individual days and battles, and write a short description for each. The idea is to be able to keep only the content you find valuable.


Example:

month 1, week 2, day 3 - adventure map
- PVE battle 8 -- difficult battle
- PVE battle 9
- PVE battle 10
month 1, week 3, day 7 - adventure map -- built the champion dwelling
- PVE battle 15
month 2, week 1, day 1 - adventure map
- PVE battle 29
- PVP battle 1 -- the first encounter

It would be similar to creating a winamp playlist. You'd be able to selectively play only the content that interests you. For instance you could create a playlist only with all the content of the first two weeks, or only with the adventure map actions from the first month.

Replay of the day Every day new replay posted on server resulted from auto recorded by server games between hi rank players.

Replay detailed statistic army produced, economy stats, map exploration stats, total kilometers traveled by heroes, battle stats, number of heroes hired, tech percentage etc ...

Replay voting Possibility for players to vote for replay to know replay popularity, number of views per replay.

Edit:
I have a feeling in H6 will be no creatures weeks and maybe no diplomacy ... I think is better to leave them on, maybe reduce numbers of new stacks resulting from creature week that appear on map. And please leave mentoring on in H6, again maybe tweak on experience gained from mentor hero ...
