WOG Help Needed!
Hi,
Just got Heroes 3 recently after playing Heroes 5 to death. Was advised H3 was the best game of the series (I only came across H5 by accident and never tried the previous games in the series until now).
But just wondering how I should play.
I've installed WOG to my game and it's overwritten Shadow Of Death Campaign.
Just wondering what order to play Heroes 3 in.
Should I start with the h3wog.exe (looks like it's added tons of new features *Auto Resolve!*) and the "Restoration Of Erathia" campaign?
In H5 my Heroes stats carried over after each mission, is it the same for H3?

u must have a Heroes 3 Complete of just SOD if im not mistaken then
1) install h3 complete
2) run the h3wog.exe
3) play ^^
or try to read this and hope this might help u

Thanks for the patch, I didn't know about that.
Yes I have sucuessfully installed both WOG and the patch but still unsure which version to start.

if u want to play heroes 3 wake of gods then always run the Heroes III In the Wake of Gods.exe (eye icon) in your desktop. and it will wogify every components of heroes 3 original...

If you haven't played HoMM III before, I would avise you to play clean SoD or Complete. After you master that, then you should switch to WoG.

What I'll probably do is play Clean SOD (to get used to vanilla H3), then after that, the original campaigns in WOG mode.

Ok just started the first mission in the SOD campaign and damn it's tough!
I'm playing normal difficulty but finding the enemy heroes just too strong.
I'm using quick combat.
Any tips?

I have a problem. I have heroes 3 in the wake of gods but only some creatures can be upgraded, in castle i can upgrade zealots and archangels, in rampart i can upgrade elves and dragon,,,, in inferno i can upgrade only the devil, in tower the gremlin become halfling and i can upgrade titan and golems in stronghold only behemoth in conflux only the phoenix in dungeon only dragon in fortress only hydra in necropolis the zombie and dragon.
What is the problem with my game?

not each but I should have a 3rd upd. for the medusa, minotaurus, basilisk and so on.. a lot of 3rd upd. are missing

There is no update for medusa. And for minotaur as well. May be you're talking about commanders who remind of those models?

I just saw a video in youtube that there are more upgrades then I have. If I tick 'extended creature upgrade' there is a list. That's allow me to get 8th level units and so on.. But not all of them what I've seen in the video. Is there a mode for this upgrades?

Hi,
Thanks for your previous help.
I'm getting quite good at vanilla H3 and wish to try the campaigns in WOG.
1) I noticed the "WOG Options" in the single scenario screen. If I change them, does it include setting when I start the campaigns or just the screnarios?
2) Also when I start any of the campaigns (WOG, ROE or AB) I get a box stating "Do you wish to WoGify this map?" Do I always tick yes?

1)just for the scenario i guess
2)u should check no because u might get errors(for the wog campaign)or lose balance(for the roe ab campaigns)
