Well... imo they're not very bad, but I have a feeling that they have wrong angle compared to normal H3 on map models... Btw. You're author of them, or you have someone in your team? Are you going to make 3D units too?

First of all - AFAIR Forge was to be the techno-town. As the townscreen is quite interesting, the rest... well, I had to think for a long while to find something in the units that corresponded with the main theme. Still - those robots that are recruited on the screen look for me rather like dwarves with ropes on them. And so on. You have to redo all your units. And it would be better for them if they weren't simply just a matter of changing some colors or adding details that are difficult to spot (and even more difficult to realise what they really are).

Agree, the town layout is clearly techno, the creatures less...
There are so many good robots out there, wonder why none took them instead. Naming something to battle robot does not necessary mean it will look as

what I don't get is why there are so many units with basic abilities such as strike twice or no retaliation. with the ERM language, I could make crazy abilities, such as the lich automatically casting an ice ring around himself, the unicorn automatically cleaning all curses affecting them, the attack of the ghost dragon draining mana points from creatures, the dendroids gaining defense after being hit...

Maybe because he will replace an existing town and keep balance between races? ERM tricks are for custom maps, not for regular creatures I think.

I have tens of them, and already done with all defs and portraits. Just ask what you need. I don't know how a massive dreadnought looks.

Generally I like the town...I agree that maybe it has to be renamed but whatever...that's secondary...
Also am I the only one that don't like the city screen SO much...It's ok and beuatiful but something displeases me...
Maybe it the too much orange(combinded with the orange interface)
or the high contrast...
I dunno..
Anyway...good luck on your modding...and I hope you succed...

I've looked at the stats of the creatures, and it didn't look particularly balanced, except if they have a massive disadvantage in another area.

the point of new abilities isn't to make creatures imba, it's to avoid using always the 3 same abilities.

Salamandre, massively impressed with your models here! Do you happen to have some unpublished dinosaur or similar to dinosaur ones? Others that would be of great help are any not so commonly used mythological creatures. Would be amazing if you could share even 1-2 of these!

P.S.: I'm on holiday and messing a bit with my old heroes "project" for fun, I recognize that most likely it will never materialize into something complete, not to mention as complex as some of you guys are doing. I'd just like to point what incredible things many of you have done through the years - it might be of little satisfaction, but still worth to say it hasn't gone unnoticed!

I've been following it closely for months, Val, don't miss anything Dinos aren't anyone's top priority and there are just a few in the Praetorian thread - the T Rex, the Triceratops with a weird dude riding it, and possibly a Rhamphorhynchus. Could probably throw in the Clannfear somehow, though it doesn't match any known specie as it was thought more of a mix between a Velociraptor and Triceratops. And there is an upgrade version for T Rex only. Don't get me wrong, I am more than happy to have these available, just checking if I could find some more. Would take at least 14 for a new town lineup.

Not to disagree with everyone, but the town screen feels far away. Maybe it's the surrounding black color but it should be more of an aerial view, not far off in the distance.

Creatures are great, good to have tons of frames done, editing then is easy for polish. Great work overall!
