HC Official Boxing Thread

Watched Wladimir Klitchko vs Samuel Peter fight yesterday. I believe there are some boxing lovers here and I think HC lacks this thread.
Can't say it was really fascinating fight as everything was quiet predictable. Seemed from maybe round 4 the main task for Nigerian Nightmare was not victory but survival and imo because of his tough head he held out till round 10, when he turned into Nigerian zombi and was knocked out after series of heavy punches.
You can find the video of yesterday last round here.

Before the fight one of american analyst said Samuel Peter is the last threat for Klitchko and now, after, looking at Peter's blue rings around his eyes, I understand this time is era of Klitchko brothers' domination in heavy weight division, as they are champions in 4 different versions. It seems that Haye and Valuev are simply afraid to fight against one of the brothers.

Looking forward for the next fight of Vitali, on October 16 vs american boxer Shannon Briggs, who promises to knock out Vitali .

I also would be glad to here your opinion regarding other interesting events in boxing world, such as Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather cancelled fight, which could become the main event of the year and other.

Floyd mayweather is a p****. Pacqiao is too damn good for any boxer today. I would put him on par with Muhd Ali even. I dont watch too many boxing fights so my opinion counts for nuts, but Pacqiao record speaks for itself. He is the pride of the Philipines and Asia. Asian boxers are generally not world class, but Pacqiao is the man to beat today.

@beyond
Whaat? Floyd Mayweather Jr is undefeated as a professional boxer and he left because of lack of decent opponents. I don't underestimate Pacuiao achievements but in the possible fight vs Mayweather I would bet on second one. Too bad this fight was cancelled and btw it was cancelled because Pacuiao refused to present his blood for drug test at any possible time - he agreed only for scheduled tests - strange, yea?.

@Doom
Who is Adamek ? BTW I watched Vitali's fight against Polish boxer Albert Sosnowski and imo the differense in class was remarkable .

Watched Vitali Klitchko - Shannon Briggs yesterday fight in Hamburg.
I wonder how Shannon managed not to fall as he constantly was bombarded by several heavy punches every round from 6th.
Interestingly the fight between two known punchers (they both together have more than 80 KOs) ended with Klitchko victory by referee decision. Anyway it was really spectacular, I believe there were no person there, who regret he bought a ticket.
