Well...
I just think that we, the creators - Humans - have a bad imangination so we cant create anything else then human units for Haven - which is the most human faction
The other factions are more freely made
But it would be cool to see some new things in haven something not seen before
Heroes is becoming very standard in the line ups

What's the second non-human?
Quote: ...orcs with 4 not counting goblins.
No Stronghold only got 3 tiers of Orcs, Centaurs were definably a different race (albeit of a similar origin), as were Cyclopses.

The creatures that Haven can have are limited in number and variety by the concept of the faction - Haven is comprised of medieval obscurantists. They are closed and xenophobic society, with little-to-no hope for ideological or technological advancement, so you can't expect them to flexible in any way - including army composition. The more tolerant and cosmopolitan the ideology of one faction is, the more options it has for diversity.

The hypothetical extra non-human in the empty slot.

True, still to many though.

I have a feeling that Ubihole was pretty much inspired by infernal troglodyte while creating Tormentor's artwork
just this one is much more angry and redish
and now naughty troglodyte is paying for his dungeon sins consumed by the endless suffering of Urgash

Maybe, but I believe the spirit thing is a spell effect and not a creature.

Why would a spell effect appear on an artwork ?

Why wouldn't it?
Especially if it's big and flashy.
I mean those knights in the picture for example, their horses are glowing with light, I doubt they are like that naturally.
She might be a visual representation of the Guardian-Angel ability.
She certainly matches the criteria, large female creature composed of light, sounds all Elrath's minions to me.

I'm sure it was "hinted" somewhere they were like this (think it was on the early discussions on this artwork)

Gorgeousness!
The Succubus
Some children of Asha (Humans, Elves, Dwarves, etc.), having promised themselves to Urgash and the lords of Sheogh, are raised after their death as Incubi (male) or Succubi (female).
As reincarnations of powerful Demon cultists, they usually have a relatively high and unusual rank in the hierarchy of Demonkind. However, though many think they have the wit, devotion, and power needed to achieve this desirable status, in reality many of the pretenders end as lesser Incubi/Succubi (servants, sex slaves, etc…).
Their “mortal” origins make them useful as spies, infiltrators, and diplomats. To support this role, they are granted powers of illusion, charm and shape-shifting, so as to appear almost as beautiful and charismatic as Angels, but in a "carnal", sensual way, which allows them to influence lesser minds.
Particularly in the development of the sects of Demon Cultists, it is almost inevitable that an Incubus or a Succubus will be present.
The Temptress is the upgraded Succubus.
Two more left, at least one of them will be new, but maybe the other one as well? Maybe from Imps, Nightmares and Devils, one of them still makes a comeback?

7/10 for the basic model, but 9.5/10 for the upgrade. Finally we have a really good looking upgraded Inferno creature.

I think I'm in love.
One of the best renditions of a Succubus in a PC game, EVER, and that is saying something.
I mean overall I thought they were doing a good job, but this one is above the norm.
First off:
It's not got giant tits, usually, I'm quite fond of those, but I think it makes them more elegant here.
It's still highly demonic yet attractive, the HV ones just lacked this kind of charm and resorted to larger breasts then these to compensate or something.
Elegant, not overdone, charming, and one of the best upgrades so far.
Really loving these.
Second:
Sticks to the theme of the faction yet provides a stark contrast, creating a visually more dynamic faction without looking out of place.
Third:
Looks like they might not cop-out on Succubi in combat as they did in HV which were simplistic, the presence of the Whip suggests they will at least have some form of melee and the lore given seems to hint at a more tactical ability set then a destructive shooter that gets a mind control ability thrown in after an expansion as an after thought in a lame attempt to capture the flavour of a creature that specializes in stealth, intrigue and seduction.
Edit2: Don't get me wrong I liked HV succubi, but they were lacking in gameplay and were visually nothing really special.
Also, I came up with a concept for an Inferno flavoured Boss.
Placing it here due to a lack of any better place to put it.
http://urazel.deviantart.com/#/d32ezav
Obviously they've already designed an Inferno Boss who's probably very un-like this, but I thought I'd share this anyway.
Edit: No succubi aren't Undead, they are Demons.
A spirit born from a mortal soul after death in the underworld (Sheogh) =/= a soul who never passed on to begin with or a corpse animated by dark magic.

Instead of being a ranged unit, will succubi actually be able to fly this time? This is the first inferno unit with non-inverted, functional wings (Imps had too, but way too small for their size). This would also explain why mortals may perceive them as divine beings.

Heck I'd pay for the chance to kill Isabel and set her kingdom on fire.
Except maybe Godric, I liked him, he might be spared.
Edit: And I hope they can fly, yeah.
