Neither Krosis nor Morokei posed any danger to me whatsoever. Which is weird. Of course I beat one at lev 48 and the other at lev 30, but the only difference was the cost of spells. Must be totally different for pure melee builds.

Speaking of 'field of view' I hate that I can't see what's behind me in third person anymore, unless I stand perfectly still

Master. I took them straight on. Dual cast incinerate and they are as good as dead. Coupled with fire breath/whirlwind sprint. I actually found them easier to beat than the dremora mages for Azura's star. I could not beat those in a magefight, had to rough 'em up with my lightning mace and whirlwind sprint. Oh and my innate Breton magic powers. Did not use them on the Dragon Priests tho.

Did they actually try to hit you? Because at higher difficulties dragon priests pretty much 1 hit anything without large magic resistances.

Morokei's lightning took 1/3 of my HP. Krosis' fireballs (which I incidentally took on yesterday) would deal more (close to 1/2), but I would dodge them most of the time. If I did not, I would dual stagger Krosis, quickly change to Close Wounds, heal up, and either Whirlwind spring out of his range (at first I did not succeed cause I headbashed into a rock) or fire breath on him and continue my fire barrage.

Frankly I can name quite a few more destinations where the local mobsters gave me much more trouble (because of my weak glass armor @ 115 at the time) when I was L46. One of them was in either of the two nearby ruins - Ironbind Barrow or Silverdrift Lair. I do not recall which of the two had a fire trap by the boss (a Draugr Death Overlord or whatever) and another bowman nearby. The bowman would 1-shot-kill me, especially if the boss fus-ro-dah'd me into a corner. Took me a while to figure out how to quickly stagger the bowman and rain fire on him while also staggering the other one.

Did you do the lost legends quest?
Because in the end there's like 6 ghosts fus-roahing you, and on Master thats REAL fun

IIRC that is the gauldur quest, right? With the ghosts actually being one ghost with clones?
That quest was a total bummer. I would reload every time I got tossed on the ground by a fus-ro-dah. Later on I realized that I do not die from it and if I succeed in getting back up before the last hit, I can heal myself. That said, after like 10 to 20 initial tries, I finally found out how I can avoid the trouble, it just took insane timing to sprint before the ro-dah's hit me. Then just by looking at the clones' appearance it was possible to distinguish the real one (that said, my fireballs would quickly dispatch the clones anyhow). Took me 2-3 more tries when I found it out though.
EDIT:
One other difficult location I remembered was at a bandit tower, Treva's Watch I think. There was this magician at the end who could quickly cast single or quickly dual cast thunderbolts and would 2/3hit me in a matter of seconds. I actually had her kill herself. She was staggered the moment she stepped on a pressure plate, having spikes pene... -cough- stab her from behind.

Yeah that, I had to use amulet of Talos and then constantly use slow time shout to not get shouted into a corner

Funny, I never had issues with the shouting dead. They were just as easy, if not easier, than the dying dead.

The issues come from there being 6 of them each shouting at you and you cannot hide or run.
