Yes, but if Stef keeps up his organization and his criminal activities James won't really be able to run his business or be safe in his home, due to the close proximity of the organization.

General rule of thumb for the Rings. If elemental (even the 'advanced' elemental ones) they will be in, around, or near their element. Every pod will be dangerous/hazardous to reach (which is why it will take a bit for the rings to be claimed). They will not be in the city itself, but near it. The two primordial rings will not be near a large city at all. Neither will the Key ring...which can effect any other ring, even primordial ones...but how will remain a secret till somebody finds it and puts it on . (oddly enough the Key ring is one of the more 'useless' rings)
The Primordial rings will be very dangerous to get and super hard to reach. One is in an ocean somewhere (at the very bottom), and the other two will be revealed before too long. Gonna have to figure out how to get people more information..*scratches head* suggestions are welcome.

The rings will give information on other rings, but not sure how your characters will know where the first rings are. Most of the criminal types would snatch them up and run off with them, not tell any higher ups about them. Probably even try to use it against the 'bosses' to move up the ladder. These things are powerful, even the charisma one could cause a lot of havoc. Hmm.
So it is doubtful those who are part of a criminal enterprise will have information as to where the rings are..without seeing them personally. Which is why government contacts would make this so much easier lol. Lets see, I know two are in London. So..a demonstration of the rings would be a good start. Give them a reason to actively start looking...
*ques a ring found in Sydney news report*
Edit : The Sydney ring was not scheduled to be found for another week, but since nobody (that I know of) was near it..it should at least give the characters the idea that the pods should be hunted down.

And here I was setting Wog up to finding the ring that Demonge had found and possibly trying to swindle him out of it again. Shame it isn't the charge ring. That would have come in handy at times.

You can still do that. The London ring is still up for grabs.
Remember though if it IS the charge ring (not saying one way or another) another elemental ring (or the charisma ring) must be worn for it to function at all. Or any of the stronger rings also. Note the Key Ring doesn't have a 'classification'.
What he had found was not a Core piece though..it might still be useful anyhow .

Also, remember that the non-elemental/ Primordial rings do require a lesser ring to power them.
Also, there should be a ring in Moscow, because the Russians and a few other "Powerhouse" countries (Germany, Italy, the US, etc) should try to hunt them down while we are questing for them.IMO It would make sense that one of them learned something about the rings and is now trying to collect them for the country's personal gain.

There is a ring at Moscow. One in Paris, Madrid, and various other capitals also. I've only mentioned a few, but that should put people on the right track to figure out where most of the others are. Some places have more then others..
Like China, America, and Africa...and some do not have any at all. As for others going after the rings..they are. Just remember, however, right now there is a LOT of civil unrest..so governments have their hands full. So it gives a tiny breathing space for the characters to at least get one..before things get serious.
Ultra/Primordial do not require other rings to function. Both Primordial actually negate the use of any other ring. One because it has that rings power anyhow, the other because it negates all other rings that are near it. Both however, do not affect the most useless..the Key Ring. Well..useless in that the Key ring has no power of it's own.

Soon (as two stones are about to be found) we get to learn that the stones do have small drawbacks (nothing major, don't worry).
Things like fire stones using up their wearers energy fast. (ie it is not possible to stay 'fired up' at all times). Stuff like that. Though interestingly enough the stronger the stones, the less drawbacks. Except for the 'possession' of the one primordial stone.

Was confused and thought it some sort of flashback lol. Didn't have any of the rings in the area, but that won't stop me . Since you found two rings in the area going to make one the Charisma ring, and the other the one you need most. The water ring.
Why do you need it most? Cause the water ring is a healing ring. It's drawback is you have to be absolutely calm to use its basic powers, and of course you have to master the basic powers before the stronger powers. Which interestingly enough (the stronger powers) comes from anger...but only if you are protecting somebody or something you care about (ie doesn't work if you are only worried about yourself).
Now ...this however means that he would have seen something. First, the other rings locations will be known once a ring is worn..and every time somebody (besides himself) finds a ring..he sees a blue energy shooting toward the sky (very obvious) for a brief second.
Note : This does not mean that the water ring can't be used for offense (it can) just anything like anger or such toward your target will interfere with the powers. Also..the fire ring can be used when calm, once the emotion based abilities are mastered .
