Camera modification?

Hi, i was wondering if there could be a mod for the adventure or/and the battlefield camera. It would be nice to have more control on it, like rotating it full 180 degrees vertically or being able to zoom out more than what it is now. Any ideas if that's possible?

you can.

the possibility begins by editing "autoexec_a2.cfg"
this file is localised in the "Profiles" folder (from game root folder)

inside of you find limit axis for camera but others numbers are in comments.

look for:

//No camera limits
//mission_camera_limits 50 -100 1000 -100 100 0 0
//mission_camera_softlimits 50 -100 1000 -100 100 0 0

remove double slash to active the code....but add double slash for the other camera possibility (only one must be active in same time)

then you will be able to try the game without camera limits.
but I warn you: you video card will work extremly hard especially
while a wide zoom out.

Hey man, thank you very much. It works like charm, even with consequences like models disappearing in long distances and the performance impact you mentioned. I'll try to play with the configuration though to limit the zooming out into a certain value and it's all set.

i was going to ask about the camera as well so thanks for the answer SimonaK much appreciated.

However my question goes further... So with the autoexec the setting limits are gone on the map but I like to remove the limits on the battle map as well and the Town.

No settings for that can be found in the autoexec is it even possible to change those camera point of views in a more detailed manner?

In the data .pak there is a camera subfolder inside are many files I adjusted some of them with no result... can you help and provide me with some hints?

Thank you in advance
