Some faction ideas

I know that for many of you maybe it is boring to read hundreds of town ideas but here are mine:
**********************************************************

Ancients
The habitations of the Red Desert are the eldest races on Asha. They were created in times when the magic and the power of the Dragon Gods was rough and strong in the world. These creatures are infused with unique powers and resilience and this is why they still live. After of thousands of years wars between the different elder races one young warlock succeeded to unite them. Born in the family of simple nomads this boy discovered in his early age that he can wield magical powers over the elements. Because his family and tribe feared him, he was cast away in the desert. After weeks of traveling and almost dead the boy found a wounded dragon near a crystal shrine. The dragon was trying to heal herself transferring the magic from the shrine into her weak body. The young warlock killed the dragon interrupting the ritual and in the same moment the power of the dragon was transferred into him, changing his body and soul. The Warlock began to investigate this new found source of power and shortly after that he was hunting dragons to increase his power. The blood and the energy of all types of dragons now flows into his veins. In the next 500 years he tried and succeed to unite all creatures from the Red Desert, establishing the Ancient Empire. Now the Dragon Emperor is 4000 years old and his dominion changed from militaristic into trade. He is controlling all important traveling and trade routes, collecting all valuable artifacts draining power from them, many other regions and kingdoms are under his shadow control via political plots, blackmailing and manipulation.

Ancient army consist mainly of spell casters and its heroes can learn all elemental schools.

Ancient Army:
Core:
Centaur – Centaur Hunter
Minotaur – Minotaur Knight
Medusa – Medusa Sorceres
Elite:
Rakshasa – Rakshasa Ravager
Efreet – Efreet Warlock
Dragon Acolyte – Dragon Mage / Drakeling – Drake
Champion:
Echidna – Blood Echidna

Core units:

Centaur – Centaur Hunter
The Centauri are proud and vile creatures that spend most of their time striving to perfect their combat abilities which makes them one of the most cunning and fast creatures of the Red Desert. Many tribes of Centauri take part in furious competitions and have a very strict code that puts only the best of the best on the top of their society. After every contest or battle won the survived Centauri win the right to mark their bodies with magical tattoos that enchance their skills. They take care of the countless thralls of the Dragon Emperor and hunt ruthlessly those that try to escape from their slave masters.
Abilities: Mad Charge – when charging for longer then 3 tiles distance the Centauri always do maximum damage, if good luck shines upon them, than the damage is doubled.
Long Weapon – wielding great spears the Centauri can pierce their enemies from distance (if not charging)
Weakness – very large damage range

Minotaur – Minotaur Knight
Minotaurs are the core army of the Ancients. They are well protected with plate armors and wield heavy axes in battle. Their society is separated by castes. In order for a commoner to rise to a higher cast, the minotaur has to pass a quest to prove it is worthy. The most horrible thing for a Minotaur is not to follow the orders of a superior in rank.
Abilities:  Great Horn – goring charge attack that may daze the enemy
Ferocity – when attacked and after the counter-attack the Minotaur has a chance to receive an additional attack.
Weakness – because of the its bestial origins all mind spells last one turn longer on the Minotaur

Medusa – Medusa Sorceress
Medusas are horrible aberrations and incarnation of the twisted Shadow Dragons. Their hair consists of many snakes and their gaze can petrify even the strongest enemies. Medusas are part of the political elite of the Ancient Empire and are very skilled in the dark plots, poison magic and charming. They attack from distance using enchanted bows and arrows.
Abilities: Petrify (only in melee) – can turn their enemies into stone for 3 turns. Petrified creatures take always maximum damage and cannot move or attack.
Spells: Poison Spirit – Medusas can summon poison elementals on the battlefield that after attacking the initial target move on their own choosing targets. Lasts for 3 turns. Poisoned creatures take some damage for 3 turns.
Charming Gaze (only in melee) – if the overall health of the attacker is less than the health of the Medusas they could be put upon Charm Spell and skip their attack against the Medusas.
Weakness – low HP

Elite

Efreet – Efreet Warlock
Many consider these creatures to be made of pure fire energy, but in fact they have solid body that is immune to the flames. Efreets are almost humanoid but instead of legs they float over the ground in a small pillar of fire. They are extremly talented spell casters using fire and inferno spells, they even can reflect any fire spell, enemy or foe into the enemy ranks. It is said that even the luck is on their side. Every time an enemy stack has unlucky strike, one creature from it dies (100% for core, 50% for elite, 30% chance for champion levels).

Dragon Acolyte (Drakeling) – Dragon Mage (Drake)
Dual form

The Red Mages are one of the few creatures in Asha that don’t fear the Dragons because they have mastered ways of capturing them and bidding them to their will. The Dragon Acolyte and the Dragon Mage are elite members of that order and they have used magic to mix their blood with dragon blood enabling them to shape-shift into Drakes – red skinned furious creatures on two legs, with two arms, a spiked tail and small dragon wings. In that form they are more durable and strong, but cannot cast spells.

Rakshasa –Rakshasa Ravager
The Rakshasas are one of the eldest races in the Red Desert. These beings are 2.5 – 3 meters tall, have heads of a tiger, red – orange fur and are extremely sensitive to magic. They have build the gargantuan red-sand/crystal Citadels in which the entire Ancient folk lives. Rakshasas drain the magic power of all other magical beings and with their help the Dragon Emperor has raised his empire. Many of them posses telekinetic powers, others reflect magic back to its source, third are excellent blacksmiths and their enchanted weapons are used by the military cast. Rakshasas fight with sun blades – long swords that look like daggers in their hands forged from the first rays of the sun after an eclipse, with their help the Rakshasas transfer the magical powers of dragons and spell casters into their bodies.

Champion
Echidna – Blood Echidna
Echidnas were born from the mixture of the blood of different kinds of dragons. They are the personal guards of the Dragon Emperor. These vile creatures are the ultimate example of evil’s power to infect and corrupt, the queens of disease and poison.
Abilities: Grasp of Madness – the Echidna’s strike can shake even the strongest mind, for 3 turns the infected creature cannot use its special abilities.
Grasp of Plague – Echidnas spread different diseases, infected creatures lose 20% of its attack and defense for 3 turns.
Passive: Astonishing Beauty – all male creatures have a chance to be blinded and skip their turns if they are adjacent to the Echidnas.

Here are some other ideas in short:

Night Breed
Dark Wood Inhabitans

Core:
Robber - Marauder
Witch - Hag
Warg - Dire Warg

Elite:
Black Guard - Black Impaler (Werewolf - Werewolf elder) (Actually this is a dual form creature, it is a black ogre that can shapeshift into werewolf)
Wild Mage - Sorceror
Nightmare - Dreadmare

Champion:
Witch Master - Witch King
(before someone think that the witch king refers to Tolkien, I have to add that this is common in the witchcraft and the master of the coven is called that way)

Some of the ideas are very uninspired (wild mage?). Plus you didn't give any indication what this echidna looks like.
