to get 1 thing clear: this so called satire was only made to make a fool of 3 people: myself, motorschaaf and jinxer.
we are the only ones that can be ment, even if the so called ulose person was none of us 3, it was ment to us 3.
we are in necro clans, we are your "no-rules-opponents" (childish enough if you ask me lmao).
btw that you guys laugh about yourself in the following posts tells me a lot about...well i stop here.
now zud, or whoever closed this thread, thought the same obviously, that its dumb provocation and has nothing to do here, so stop complaining
to sal: i got no paranoia about you, i just saw you attacking hexa in 1 of the cheapest ways i saw so far on this board, i would have made that comment to anyone else, funny enough it was you again.
hexa is a really ok guy who does a lot for the community

Yes at first I didnīt like the satire (note my comment about not liking the thread), but then I saw how funny it was =)
I donīt really know Jinxer or Motorshaaf or Andi so I obviously couldnīt have known if it was directed at them or not, I just thought it was hilarious.
And if someone feels offended by something thatīs thought up to be funny and satirical and want to cencor it away (make a "no satire" rule), then maybe they should stop and think for a while.
Iīd love to see a satire about no rules.
And Andi isnīt paranoid about you salamandre, heīs paranoid about me  Just wait an see what he will reply to this one

dont flatter yourself andi lol, was a whole range of ppl who posted on that thread. my attempt at "satire" however u define it was to take the piss out of the no-rules arguments by suggesting that mindless diplomacy dumbs down the game more than a rule against it. would have been a good thread but unfortunately some ppl who dont have a competitive wit resort to insults and kills it cuz other ppl get offended, bit like real life unfortunately. i think prom was attempting a thread to lighten up the absurdly nutty arguments that go on about rules and luck, and to change the trend of the over-serious, over-touchy or over-provocative who seem to dominate most of the active threads.

you guys may see only the funny side of this, funny to some at least, where the fun for me stops is in the accusations that are hidden in it and you as outstanding dont see:
we get cheap wins by using necro and a no hit and run rule(i offer every opponent to play without bonus against his higher/equal, i offer to use our ally philo inferno)
and so does motor
if you guys cant see that this thread is maybe fun for most of you, but not for us since we (specially motor) did a lot to be at clans ranking where we are now, than i cant help you, better go make fun of yourself...
hexa alrdy answered salamandre, he didnt like the stuff he wrote too, same goes for me.
Bjorn: i dont care about you, you were just involved in this.
i got a advice for you, get some experience first before you talk about stuff you dont know anything of, players like sal and moc are veterans, they at least know what they say, even if i dont agree with it.

I didnīt even know that you three are in a Necropolis clan. Anyway, after that lame fake ULOSE post, I didnīt find the thread funny or satiric anymore either. But weīre not in Iraq or North Korea here, noone should censor a topic anonymously and without giving concrete reasons.
Andi, itīs also a provocation that people like you, somewhere in the ToH top 5 of this season, call their own artificial set of rules "playing for fun", and whatīs originally in the game "playing only for points" and "caring only about winning". What is that supposed to mean? That your rating would be somewhere near the 3000 mark, if you were not so totally indifferent about your gamesī results?
And if we take into consideration your extreme preference for might heroes, and (I still can hardly believe that itīs true ...) the fact that you all three are in a necro clan, it becomes quite obvious how honest and honorable your initiative against the free use of strong spells is. Bah, Iīm disgusted about so much hypocrisy.

what guys like you, therin, dont see is: necro has a L14 speed unit with the ghost drags, and you know it happens you find a even faster 1 in refugee.
now, if i play against tower, stronghold or fortress, i dont use my ghost dragons for those tactics, its not a 1-way-thing, you know? i follow this rule myself
and about necro being so strong without hit and run...take out their faster units and seperate the skels, and if they get into range and you know they will crush you if you stay you are free to surrender, the rules i like dont mean you cant do that at all you know? just dont come up with a gold drag and implo is all i ask for.
after that im left with mainly only skels, and that is very possible to beat, of course if you dont try to get skills like tactics to keep them away, and use heroes like deemer, its easy to whine about the unbeatable skelis...

Andi/motor vs Mocara/Salamandre. Maybe you should play a 2vs2 (which is soooo much Fun) and lets say there will be no winner... only 1 loosing team. and the loosing team should forever shutup about whats right and whats wrong.
i liked the satire-thread and i think promethus wrote it very perfect what is goin on right now. But the "Vets" feel touchy and must react as god and have thread closed. LOL
You all are acting like small kids and to be honest you guys take away the Fun. Why are you so focused on power?

I love 2o2s and so does andi but i doubt we could ever agree on a map and rules . (i dont care bout hit and run and stuff but i dont like to give all my troops and arts away just to win and hit next round button and bore myself to death. )
2o2s are type of heroes game that require most skill of all . U can learn and study a 1o1 map 1000000 times and master it . In a 2o2 u cant do it because ur ally never does what he is supposed to do
Teamwork = only way to victory .
btw. titan the 1 min turn 2o2s with you and elio really kicked ass . I doubt moc and salamandre would agree to 1 min turns

I don't think Prometheus' topic was the cause for the deletion - so friends of Prometheus really don't need to be so up in arms. He tried to start a satirical thread - he can't be blamed for where it went. You'll notice in his original posting, he didn't name any real player, was just a goofy representation of all the things he thinks are wrong with "rules", it was exagerated and intended at making some people laugh (at least that's how i saw it). However what followed, someone creating that fake "ULOSE" name and then posting names of actual players they have a problem with - it stops being satire, and it stopped being funny.
To the necro players, i think maybe its not such a personal slam directly on you (unless you played them and had similar discussions, i don't know) but i can say from playing as necro on a randomXL, that unless you are necro as well, hit and run may be about the only way you can beat it. Unless you allow diplo - but generally people don't in randoms. I think the ideas in mentioning necro on randoms tho, is that anyone who plays it knows the extreme power of that town - and the original satire post i think was looking for all of the extremes.
I don't know if all of the "no rules" players percieve "rules players' as the way Prometheus wrote ULOSE if they do, then its simply a huge misconception, and not worth getting so upset over. How many "rules players" are really anything like ULOSE? None that i know anyways.
My dislike of the thread came from naming names and pointing fingers in a thread that was meant to be satire, nothing to do with what Prometheus said - if you read my last post before it closed, you'll see i was trying more to clear up misconceptions by both sides of the arguement - not crusading to have it closed. If it was closed because the Moderator felt i was asking for it, sorry. But i don't really think just my say so would encourage anyone to close it anyways lol
On the bright side, even with a lock on that thread, the fights seem to have resumed quite nicely here

Well since my name has been brought up so much in this thread and I am not sure why, besides I tend to NOt like Hit and run, maybe that is why, anyways I figured I would throw in my suggestion for a NEW clan Philo and bonus!!
Speed Philosphy= New clan Philo
Starting bonus = Start with 1 Arch Angel, 1 Castle town + speed cape. All other towns on your side however need to be edited off since you will have NO need for any other men anyways.
This philo bonus can ONLY be used by the MOST skilled of players! It takes raw talent, and keen thinking to beable maneuver your hero and attack your opponent with that 1 ArchAngel, cast Meteor or Lightning. And then the most important part, and the toughest of all. Hit the surrender button before your opponet can do any damage to you!!! WOW. How exilerationg~! That was one of the most ahrd earned and well thought out battles. I manages to kill 400 skels. Now let me concentrate.... oh yes hit the rehire button and bring my BEAST of a hero out with his 1 Archangel...and go attack my opponent again. BTW I now have 95,000$ in gold, what the hell I do with that? Ohh yea I normally use it to build dwellings and army, but no need for that, I am deep in concentration to try and pull off another spectacular battle! Theres my opponent, I shall attack again!!! Battle insues! Now what did I do last time that was so brilliant..... oh yes cast metero or Lighting... then hit the surrender button!!! WOOOOOHOOO another 400 skels gone, and yet not a scratch on my ArchAngel! I have got to be a HEROES GOD!!!!!
Oh wait I am not that good. I was just fortunate enough to have a faster creature. Hmmmm, but who cares, I got the win. I deserved the win, after all I did have the fastest creature, and since there was no other speed artifacts or shackles placed on map it must have been my destiny!! To bad my opponent spent hours fighting for gold, chaining his troops from one hero to another with absolute precision, gaining money to build dwellings and amass an army. If the fool only knew I had the best SKILL in the game, the fastest creature skill! But hey its part of the game. I shall not feel guilty, after all a WIN is WIN!
I am soooo glad that 3do didnt make the same silly mistake in H4. I dont think we will have hardly any trouble with rules in H4 because I think 3do took the time in Heroes4 to actually look and think the game out in depth to make sure all these silly aspects of the game dont get overlooked.
I am actually curious to see what loopholes people will endevour to find in H4. I guess no game can be 100% perfect.
See how long my Satire takes to get locked out~!

Midnight hit it on the mark.
I drew the fiction from little bits and pieces of rules and ideas that I have come across to show how the perspective is on the receiving end of them. I want to address Andi's concern that the post was targeted at 3 people. The no fly/dd/water walk rule came from a clan war with the Jinxer clan, true enough. I tell you also that I am on friendly terms with Motorschaff (I did not even know he was in this clan), we have played and talked about little game things (he helped me find some good maps) and I only give him a gentle hard time to play me Beltway sometime. Jinxer I did not even know until recently, we had a tight conversation about the clan war rules and left it at that. Later we reconciled and I believe are on good terms, agreeing to disagree. Andi i dont even know and have never played. As with Moto, I did not know Andi was in the Necro clan - i only knew Kehnon was (my opponent for this war). So to come to the point, I was not addressing anyone personally; I was addressing the IDEAS. The no hit and run rule was global; I am asked for this rule in 50% of games. The no first day rush was something I have heard of only in passing and never had an opponent actually ask for. I threw it in simply for the humor value. In short, there was no personal attack, only an attempt to explain, using satire (but with criticism from English Professor Jiels) how crippling and victimizing the rules can be (or SEEM to be if you like) to the recepient.
A negative emotional response to the post shows that you understood the perspective of ULOSE's opponent, felt bad for him and yet identified with ULOSE on some other level. Some clearly identify with ULOSE. A neutral response shows nothing. A positive response shows identification with ULOSE's opponent. Absurd though rules can appear to be, sometimes they have their place, its true. These particular rules under such peculiar circumstances seemed a particularly good opportunity to make humor. I'm confused by Jiels' reaction but I think his heart in the right place and is seeking harmony.
Perhaps as Bjorn suggested, someone can do a satire of a no-rules situation. I bet it would be funny.
P.S. I have no idea who posted as ULOSE, but thought it was funny for its flaming of ME (in humor). The 'nobrain' part of it was overthetop a bit.
