Hmm, in Jinxerīs hands, even an attempted satire in the end results in his usual whining. I have yet to see a post from him where he does not pity himself, directly or indirectly.

It was only from that fake ULOSE naming three players that things flamed. Guys, try to forget that posting, it was out of topic, and continue on satire.
Btw, me and Mocara are always up for a game vs Andi/motor with any rules or no rules. They are good players and should not take those blabla here attacking them personally.Writing our opinions is one thing, playing is something else.
What about a game with next rules: Me/Mocara can't hit/run, no first day rush, no smoking vs Andi/Motor- no DRUNK (we already saw what wine does to Andi)and forgeting all posts they thought beeing a personal attack.
One more global rule for both teams: no erection more than two turns, Motor is getting hard for 1 min only.

Nice post there Lews, why try to make light and stop fighting when you see another opportunity to slam a person?
Jinxer just played up satire in the same way as Prometheus did, let me see if i understand - if YOUR friend does it then HAHA!! its hilarious!! But if someone you disagree with does it, they are clearly just whining and pitiful.

Pandora, look into that closed thread. I was the first one who stated his dislike of that ULOSE fake post.
Jinxerīs "satire" is okay in the first half. Then he suddenly starts complaining about undeserved wins again, why does he have to do that even in the context of a satire?

Its really just a matter of perception, i just don't think the personal insult was right.
The posts i saw following Jinxer's were positive and light, it just made me upset to see the black cloud come right back down on it.

The first post answering the ULOSE fake post was positive and light, too.
Maybe the text is not that bad to deserve my harsh words, itīs just that the theme "I would have deserved win because of bla, but my opponent unrightful got win because of bla" repeats itself in so many of his posts.

WHAT THE HELL??
Looks like the vets of heroes have finally reached thier peaks.(sigh) All this rivalry and not even a good cause bah. I take no sides in this(unfortunatly) cuase your all morons atleast fight about something fun like is salamander/moc/frank really andi/motor/jinxer(in that order) or better yet why does moc have an oppinion about everything yet saying that he doesn't? Finding ironies is fun.
btw in the 2vs2 game my bet will go to andi/motor  (omg i took a side)

When I play random with a no diplo rule I always make a no necro rule, because they are brother and sister (although necro is weaker)
I beat necro once without diplo though, but thatīs because I got dual castles and a portal of glory

Two word that have often been used together no matter how erroneously. Satyre has throughout history been used as a weapon to great affect. The whole "The pen is mightier than the sword" and all that. Satyre is nothing more than a comedic attack upon another person or group. No more and no less. Just because it uses humour makes it no less affective or damaging. Satyr has crumbled empires, brought kings and queens to their knees and layed low many good as well bad individuals through the ages.
Now that there's been a little clarification about the Satyrization-attack that was perpetrated upon the so called "Rulers" by one of the LT.'s of the the so called "NO Rulers". Then the return Salvo's from Lt.'s of the "Rulers" against the "No Rulers". Ad infinitum.......
Just wanted peeps to realize that they are misleading themsleves if they think that all this flaming is constructive no matter what form it takes. A silly argument is made no less silly just because the people who are waging it apparently have great emotion and intelligence invested in there cause. To keep arguing that the sky is green when it obviously red is truly a pointless excercise.
Why not just agree the sky is purple and have done with it.
I think the words we are searching for here is tolerance and compromise.
p.s. just my thoughts on this matter
p.p.s. so sue me if my spelling sucks, i got fat fingers ok!!!

We had one clan war vs some unnamed necro clan where their terms were XL random, no hit and run, no diplo, no fly, no ddoor(we are tower btw).
Tell me that isn't a prime example of trying to set up an unbeatable position combining class, map and rules in the most extreme example.
I managed to get the rules revised down to no fly or ddoor to attack castle and no hit and run.
Seems how these rules are pro-necro, anti-tower I should have countered with "Fine, no more than 200 skellies and no animate dead or death ripple." but we let them have their unbalanced game and are up 3-0 in the war so far.
I like the guys in the other clan but I think it is THIS kind of rulemaking that makes some believe that rulemaking is designed not to "add fun" but to "add wins".
Even Pandora said w/o hit and run beating a necro on XL random may be impossible.
Well we have done it but only to prove a point. It was really fun to go play against a stacked deck but not the kind of fun I need to have again.

one thing i might add..
I've seen it said that Mocara was a hypocrite (not an exact quote) for some statements he has made , generally to the effect that what he says here does not neccesarily reflect how he plays. I played him only once, not much of a game, as he played blind on a map i knew, played 2 min and was working thru the whole thing - but the one thing i do remember about the game is this.
at the start, i said "so, are you gonna be hit and running on me?" and his reply was "no, because i know you hate it"
i thought that was pretty cool, no rules were made, was just a friendly game.
Another thing - Ive seen some nasty stuff said about Mad_Unicorn, and you know what, there are lots of former hall of shamers that do not take the same flak he does. Maybe its because he's so good, people choose to think he's up to no good. But that's not true - he is a very good player, and he's great fun to play. Some of you people who slam him should play him, make your saves if u wish, but see for yourselves. He is a great player, and he's a fun opponant.
I know i'm off topic, but what was the topic anyways?

As pan and a few know i dont like hosting for certain reasons(wonder why?) I will only host if you are too lazy and your arguement of laziness beats mine :/ (for clan game edits since i dont play normal games often) I always try to make saves of my own but end up after the first week i get too into the game to continue making saves maybe every day 1 or something just to see whats goin on. Its been my experience that week 1 will determine the whole game unless your dealing with "luck" maps when anything can counter not losing 1 creature or getting a nice art in the sea
I like playing wacko and pan even tho pan always beats me(well i think we only played one game) and wacko has some fun comentary throughout the game. When somebody asks for a game it normally comes down to will i have fun? or will it be a headache? headaches = 6min turns with boring players who dont talk and will likely win without any problems because they can focus during long turns and what map.
Motor and Andi are hillarios to play (andi always had a vendetta against "dagmund") They both see the game as it is and play for fun. Dont get me wrong they will go for the win at all costs tho.
Jinxer i think i only played this tosser 3 times in my whole career maybe 2 lol but was fun i think. All 3 times he beat me.(or all 2 lol)
Mocara/Sal i never played because we play different games they hold on to their heroes 2 and i cant play that as well as they can and would offer no challenge to them plus due to the facts they know the game better than me
Frank i played a few times, not a chatty fellow but not a really slow player either so he can get a game every now and again
Flaming/Anal i played them as all their counterparts never really enjoyed any of the games first few times because i was new and wanted to beat the best the next time was to test to see if i had improved Flaming and Anal should play Moc and Sal since they seem to play the same game
Ves and Mel.. never played mel but i played ves twice hes very distracted and likes his 160%-200% games which i really detest he beat me and i have beaten him(sorta). He should join the flaming/anal/moc/sal gamers
RychenRoller awesome player really good sport unless hes in a pissy mood If your looking for fun games go for the aussie.
Jb239 I think is distracted too much in the game to be as good as he use to be Great gamer and very skilled even with bad luck he knows how to work almost any map
Attila/Wiggy sorta fall in same category as loudish players fun games challenging entertaining in the end they normally pull a rabbit out of their arse in the end.
Destro23 now i gotta say my 2vs1 game with him was the BEST game i have ever played all came down to 1 mistake otherwise he would of beat me. He is a very good sport and enjoys the game for what it is
Trentang great guy to play no whining no bi*ching no moaning our games normally come down to what hero we each chose
Many to list and since i felt like wasting space and its totally off topic but i figured if i get compliment may aswell attempt to post a non negative post.
probably forgot a few as my mind is wondering now

Well I'll say it again. I really enjoyed Jinxer's satire post and something amazing happened when I read it the second time (the first time I was just laughing). I caught a glimpse of what it looks likes from the other side and identified with the poor Necro being H&R to death -- all through the magical and absurd exagerration of satire.
I returned from this trip after only a few moments however and look forward to death blossoming someone's skeletons with my archangels.

Well mocara you are almost impossible to figure out. One min you are sounding like ya want to bury the hatchett then the next you are attack me.
I am truley sorry we agreed to have a war with your clan at all, regardless who wins, I play for the fun and enjoyment, and listening to you and your members, whine (((Promethius excluded))) has been not fun. I listend to Frank whine about having to play agasint Necro on Random XL then he promptly accepts ISRA as his main. Hmm all of a sudden being Necro is kewl and okay. Hypocrite???????
Then to top it off as Mocara points out so proudly they are 3-0 agasint the UNSTOPPABLE necro clan and they didnt even need hit and run???!! How is that possible, I thought it was not possible to beat a necro on Random???? hmm then to make it even more of a sickening experience , they realize they cant make clan finals so decide on not finishing the clan war. Frank is now making excuses on how to avoid playing our remaining member. We still have a chance to win war no matter how little, we should get that chance.
And just so the facts are not clouded any more... Frank beat me in our clan war match by using his precious ddoor. He caught me away from town with no spell points to townportal home. So not sure what you are whining about.
From now on I will just stick to players I know to be fun and honorable....

Nice last post, but I must admit as allready stated. Satire is not humor, it is an attack in the guise of humor. It might be funny even to the persons who are attacked, but satire is implicitly an attack.
I must admit I dont have the nerve to play at the moment, seems like all the fun has gone out off it.
I have allways defended the no-rules position on this board, but that satire post was just posted at the wrong time, and I was glad to see it closed.
Quite frankly u behave like the 4 yrs old I used to babysit at my former work, It is excusable if ur drunk (Hehee, Im a hypocrite, been there done that) but u are taking it to far out.
And all that crap about free speech etc. well I just dont buy it. Free speech as a concept is only workable in a society with certain rules. If u break those rules with ur "free speech" u are actually stepping outside the society and thereby loosing ur right to free speech.
As an example of the latter, I can mention certain fascist parties in alot off countries, who under the protection that the right to free speech offers them, preach a society with no free speech.
I aint saying that the satire thread had anything to do with fascism at all, Im just saying ppl should think abit more about things and how the argument is structured before they bring in the big guns= My right to free speech.
Guess my point is, that any fora especially on the internet needs moderators. If u dont agree with them start a debate about when and how a thread should be closed or a person banned etc. but dont bring free speech into it every time

Also I do not need to "bury the hatchet" because there is none to bury.
Just because we have different philosophies on a stupid game does not mean I have personal dislike to you.
I like heroes but it ranks WAY down on my list of important things.
If I debate with someone in here and they get upset then I can't help that.
If I ever took anything in here personal I think it would be time I re-evaluate my priorities.
I wish people could understand that one thing.
If they could then they would not get so emotional about it all.
Motorschaaf gets it but most seem to be really serious in here.
Remember in the heat of our debates, right after you said I make you puke I was going to drive to Ohio and take you to Rob's house with me?
Now would 2 people who hate each other want to do something like that?
Of course not.
